The game consists just of a short but emotional story with beautiful sceneries and accessible puzzles. The only problem is the set price that is actually too high even for a remake.

Note that it is highly advised to play in coop mode even though the game implies otherwise to get the best experience.

Ich hatte mich auf ein grafisch hübsches und (scheinbar) sehr bewegendes Spiel um zwei Brüder gefreut, die Abenteuer bestehen müssen, um ihrem kranken Vater zu helfen.

Enttäuschung 1: Das Spiel ist in der Iso-Perspektive (was aus der Shopseite nicht hervorgeht).
Enttäuschung 2: Die Brüder müssen teilweise simultan gesteuert werden und die Steuerung ist äusserst grobschlächtig.

Fazit: Mit Maus und Tastatur im Single-Player leider unspielbar!!

If Steam had a "neutral" or "informative" option for reviews i would have definitely selected that for this game. While it's great (and rare) to see a remake fully respect the original title without reinventing the wheel, unnecessary redesigns, changes to iconic scenes and characters, and reinterpreted or twisted themes, i also think the art direction is a downgrade compared to the original.

The remake is obviously much more advanced on a technical level, but it fails to capture the aesthetic of the original art direction. This is its only flaw, but it's a big one.

Still, as the only choices are a positive or a negative rating with no options in between, it's a "Recommended" from me because Brothers is a game that deserves to be experienced at least once. Play the original if you can for the best experience, however.

[b]A Brilliant Journey of Brotherhood (Perfect for the KRL Commute)[/b]

As a guy hitting his 40s, my gaming time is mostly squeezed into my daily KRL commute from the office. I usually look for something engaging that doesn't require me to read a 100-page manual or memorize complex combos. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons caught my eye, and honestly, it hits right in the feels.

The most unique thing about this game is the control scheme. You are literally playing two characters at the exact same time. The left thumbstick controls the older brother, and the right thumbstick controls the younger one. I won't lie, for the first 20 minutes on the train, my brain was completely short-circuiting. It feels really wierd at first, almost like trying to pat your head and rub your belly at the same time. But once it clicks, it is an absolute stroke of genius. The puzzles are designed around this dual-control mechanic, making you physically feel the cooperation between the two characters.

But the real magic here is the story and the theme of sibling teamwork. The boys are on a desperate journey to find a cure for their sick father. Seeing the older brother take charge to protect the younger one, and watching the little guy step up when needed, is genuinely touching. Watching them help each other up ledges or overcome their fears instantly made me think of my own boys, Ken and Khell. The game captures that deeply bonded sibling dynamic perfectly. It’s a beautiful narrative that doesn't even use real dialogue to tell its story.

It runs great on a handheld and the chapters are paced perfectly for a train ride, though you might want to hold back tears if you're playing the final chapters while pulling into Manggarai station. The emotional weight of the ending is something you won't forget anytime soon. I even found myself wishing Pryntsesa was old enough to watch the story unfold alongside me.

If you want a game with a fantastic, heartfelt story, a totally unique way to play, and puzzles that make you feel smart without being frustrating, you definitly need to play this. It is a masterpiece.

Score: 10/10. A beautiful experience for any parent or anyone who grew up with a sibling.

По сравнению с предыдущей Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
игра получила более современную и подтянутую графику, немного новые графические видеовставки, не меняющие координально сюжет или геймплей, но выражая тем самым больше чувств и привязанности к Братьям.
Всё те же четыре кнопки геймпаде, будут сопровождать вас для получения незабываемого приключения братьев, по сказочному миру, а разработчики постараются сохранить незабываемую атмосферу и разнообразие приключений, где головоломки встречающиеся на вашем пути, не должны будут оказать сложного сопротивления, словно наоборот возвращая вас к истокам простоты и оригинальности.

Такие игры мне нравятся даже куда больше, популярных, но по своему каких то пустых

After I played I went back and played the original to make sure I wasn’t missing something. What happened with the character design here? Why was the hair fibrous? The full overhaul of this game makes everything bigger, more detailed, with more technical panache, but not enough panache to meaningfully outclass the visuals of a game originally released on the Xbox 360. Especially when every scenario plays out identically. Everything is bigger, which makes any sequence you can fail harder, but this is not the kind of game that’s enjoyable to fail at. Playing this game in co-op feels especially perverse, as the scenarios feel somehow both unenjoyably simple and more complicated to coordinate. Everything I have to say about spoilable parts of this game are either it’s unchanged or it’s worse. If you’ve never played Brothers: play the original. If you’ve already played the original: play it again! Great little game.

It plays well on the steam deck .
But don't get fooled like me . Around the 2 hour mark the game have an unfixable bug the big brother cannot climb on the big wheel.
I hope i will get refund .
Dont buy this game even if it looks nice you will stuck with a demo of a game an never finish it.

Joué à deux en coop locale. L’univers est plutôt joli et, graphiquement, le jeu reste très correct malgré son âge.

En revanche, il n’y a aucun vrai dialogue : tout passe par des dialogues fictifs, les gestes et les mises en scène. L’idée est intéressante, mais elle ne nous a pas totalement convaincus.

Le gameplay est extrêmement simpliste : en coop à la manette, on se limite essentiellement au joystick + RT ou LT selon le personnage. C’est clairement accessible, voire idéal pour jouer avec un enfant ou une personne peu habituée aux jeux vidéo.

De notre côté, malgré l’univers sympa, nous n’avons pas vraiment accroché.

Un jeu correct pour son accessibilité et son ambiance, mais qui ne plaira pas à tout le monde.
