The intro to the game is you signing a contract with the devil. This is not want I would call a good concept for a game. I do understand that there are many things within gaming that could be thought of as walking the line of moral or PC, but forcing your character "a child" to sign a deal with the devil is not morally gray area... it's just wrong. To think that I was about to gift this game to my teenage daughter because of her interest in creature games like Pokemon. I'm sad that this was not even mentioned in other reviews of the game that I looked at before purchasing. Now I have to wait on a refund for the copy that I sent to my wife (we're a gaming family) before processing my own after playing it for only 20 mins...

舞台をメリケンにして、主人公たちの年齢を下げて、ドット絵にしたペルソナ。
しかも本作のデベロッパーである Lazy Bear Games はリトアニアにあるため「リトアニア発のメリケンなペルソナ」ということになる。なんかすごい。
悪魔の種類の少なさだとか戦闘バランスの甘さだとか全体的に惜しい感じではあるものの、リトアニアンメイドのペルソナをプレイしてみたいというのであれば価格相応には楽しめると思う。
あと、本家と同じくアドベンチャーとRPGが６：４程度の割合であるため、がっつりRPGを遊びたいというひとには向かないのでそこも注意。
100点満点中65点ぐらいの「消極的なおすすめ」といったところかな。

여러가지로 불편한 부분이 많은 옛날 느낌 JRPG

나온지 2년 가까이 된 게임인데도 군데군데 버그가 있다
대사가 다른 대사로 바뀐다던지, 퀘스트가 클리어되지 않는다던지, 아이템이 복사된다던지, 히든 보스가 트리거되지 않는다던지...

캐릭터 전투 순서가 고정되어있어 역할이 어느정도 강제되는 느낌이 강하고,
악마 갈아끼기로 스킬을 다르게 부여해서 캐릭터마다 커스텀 할 수 있는데
그냥 초반에 열심히 알바 뛰어서 제일 비싼 무기 두르면 평타가 제일 쎄짐

그리고 도전과제 올클 노리는 사람이라면 초반부터 공략보기 추천
극초반에 놓치면 절대 못깨는 도전과제들이 있음

не, ну если без приколов, то прикольно так-то, душевно. качественный перевод на русский. саундтрек во время битв вообще вышка, но придется проходить с гуглом, иначе часть квестов проходить только сейвскамом+перебором, т.к. нужны знания по гуманитарным наукам, чисто технарям здесь не место. вопросы в стиле - как зовут писательницу написавшую "Грозовой перевал" и вот в таком духе. я про эту книгу, например, знаю только потому что жена читала - говорит книга про дебилов каких-то. так что имейте в виду. ну и здешний подход мне больше понравился, чем тот бред, как в персоне или прочих японских лайв симах типа метафоры, хотя бы тем что времени больше дают на всякие занятия и весь день не тратится на то что б послушать какую-нибудь идиотскую историю на которую в реале больше часа не потратит никто. Из минусов - странное меню, невозможно нормально посмотреть текущие статы персов и их демонов и так по мелочи. Итого, годно, вайбово и поиграть стоит, особенно если вы фанат жанра и 80х.

I loved playing Bloomtown.
Charming pixel art style, great storyline, funny characters. I like how free I was, easily switching between the dungeons' battles and exploration, and the town where it's a more cozy gameplay (fishing, working, building relationship etc).
There's just three things that frustrated me a bit; the dungeons are unaccessible after you beat the boss there which makes some achievements missable; the skills learned by Guardians leveling up are random which is annoying because I only got 2 offensive skills in my entire adventure; and to capture demons you have to deal damages they're vulnerable to but I ended up killing them instead most of the time.

A fun, contained adventure with a lot of heart and a little jank. I played through all the content, it's good, visually engaging and whoever designed the fast travel system should work on more games. Characters are fun, I developed a real sense for them and cared about them. In a game like this I do wish they gated a little less of the map travel on story completion, but I understand if they didn't the latter parts of the game may feel a little content barren. A fun adventure, nothing groundbreaking here but an enjoyable game that I actually cared about the plot for, which is saying something.

Bello.
Mi ha ricordato il film "goonies" , con questi ragazzini e le loro avventure.
Qui l'atmosfera è diversa e anche più tetra . Belli i dialoghi e la storia scorre che è un piacere. Semplice il combattimento a turni che non è mai punitivo. Ottima la grafica e le canzoni. Personaggi diversificati e situazioni che fanno anche riflettere. Consiglio assolutamente.

Além da linda arte, pra mim o ponto alto do jogo são os diálogos, eles fazem com que os personagens possuam personalidades identificáveis pelas quais nos afeiçoamos ao longo da história, são coerentes com a história e a idade de cada um, a forma que interagem entre si expressa genuinamente a natureza da relação que têm uns com os outros: a implicância divertida entre irmãos, o flerte inocente e receoso com um primeiro amor, as broncas bem humoradas de um avô que já viveu muito da vida e que agora tem que cuidar de dois moleques espevitados.
A trilha sonora anima bastante os momentos de combate, mas eventualmente a dinâmica de batalha fica meio monótona, principalmente porque muitos demônios parecidos surgem, o que tira o frescor da novidade e da animação de descobrir quem serão os inimigos a serem enfrentados para se criar uma nova estratégia.
Senti falta de mais side quests, acho que elas permitem que o jogo pareça mais vivo, como se sempre houvesse algo a ser explorado, eventualmente senti que não havia mais nada a ser feito além de finalizar a história principal.
Outro ponto é que dois pontos ficam bem pouco explícitos: como domar demônios e que é possível fazer viagens rápidas por meio do mapa. Só fui notar ambos esses pontos depois de algumas horas de gameplay, o que me fez perder recursos e tempo.
Mas de modo geral, gostei de verdade do jogo, ri bastante internamente com as falas sarcásticas e perspicazes dos personagens, principalmente da protagonista, que é inteligente, corajosa, sincera, engraçada e com uma língua afiada que nos diverte muito.
Sempre que jogava tinha a sensação de ser transportada pra essa cidade pequena, onde todos se conhecem, sem internet, onde é possível estabelecer conexões genuínas. Fiquei com um sentimento reconfortante de nostalgia, como se tivesse acabado de voltar de uma aventura infantil e tivesse um copo de chocolate quente a minha espera.

A truly beautiful game full of love, style, and inspiration. I ran into a few minor technical issues that were readily bypassed from the beginning of the game to the end. It is also on the easy side for any players who have experience with RPGs (especially if you've played the Persona series that this draws much inspiration from). One of the best indie RPGs I've played in a very long time and could not recommend it enough. It more than surpasses many of it's contemporaries even in the AAA space.

Very enjoyable mix of life sim and JRPG. Nice art style, interesting characters, fun exploration, and lots of activities. Plus, you get to fight demons at night.

The save system is okay once you understand how it works, but could've been explained better in the beginning. A few of the quests don't finish properly, though. For example, I fetched [spoiler]Sam's stone tablet[/spoiler] several times, but the quest never registered as complete. Thankfully it's not gamebreaking, though.

Sometimes, great art, mechanics, music and a decent concept and story just aren't enough. I will say, I'm not really a fan of persona games, so I probably wasn't the target audience for this.

Regardless, I didn't find it fun, for reasons I can't really verbalize well. If you ARE a fan of similar games, like persona or whatever, and like the looks of this, give it a try. For everyone else, I wouldn't recommend it, personally, despite thinking its a very well made game.

maybe a 7/10? I really liked the overall vibes and the beginning was really engaging but by the end I was just waiting for it to end.

The demon thing is kinda interesting and useful for stats, but for so much of your build attack-wise to rely on randomly caught demons makes it difficult to feel comfortably kitted out. And you have to whittle them to low health without outright killing them, which is annoying. I did end up with an okay AOE build involving setting up a debuff with one character and an AOE attack with the other that utilizes that debuff for extra damage, but I think I'd rather just have more always-available flexibility in choosing abilities.

There was one achievement could've gotten but missed because I chose not to take the flowers at the grave (Spirit Crusher) and now there's no way to go back for it. I absolutely don't want to reply the game just for that.

The ending's alright, doesn't feel super satisfying but it makes sense in the sense that for the characters this adventure takes place over a single summer and that's it. It's like gravity falls.

Mostly, Bloomtown is a fun game. One part persona, one part earthbound, if you like either of them, you'll probably enjoy this game. And the music is absolutely amazing. Absolutely top notch music.

But it is still clearly a small game made by a small team and there's a decent number of medium-sized bugs and issues. If you need a polished experience, this probably won't do it for you. Several mechanics, especially catching demons, are poorly introduced to the point they're not really accessible for most of the game. The game autosaves constantly (often causing lag), but lacks the ability to manually save, which is a little weird. A lot of Act 3 feels like it was written at a different time than the rest of the game. You can't return to previous areas once you finish an act, just because the game says so.

A persona like that takes place during the summer rather than the school year. The first act is a little slow, but overall gem of a game. The art style and settings are very earthbound the whole game feels like it pulls from alot of other solid titles. The devs show they are gamers and care for our enjoyment.

Triste dizer mas não gostei, adoro o graveyard keeper e punch club porém não conseguiram acertar com esse tipo de jogo. O combate é muito chato, os monstros capturados na parte final são inuteis ,a historia não me prendeu ,no meio do jogo eu so queria finalizar. Sobre a party eu não consigo ver status do meu grupo como habilidade,ataque, experiencia. Enfim está faltando muita coisa.

Сложно сказать, рекомендую ли я игру. Как ни крути, а это какой-то копипаст персоны, только пиксельный, с вырезанной глубиной, урезанным количеством доступных персонажей, так еще и смысла в их квестовых линиях не более, чем просто жать на кнопку повысить уровень. Диалоги шаблонные, писал тот, кто наверно вообще понятия не имеет, как общаются между собой девочки-подростки. Прикольный только пес. По геймплею - тухло, вся механика это персона, включая все эти слияния демонов, только вот кругом персонажи, которые лишены какой-либо харизмы. Игра вроде визуально приятная, хорошая музыка, но играть в это получается через силу. Может меня еще так отталкивает вот эта схожесть, что понатырено без мысли одно и вырезано то, что могло бы сделать игру вкусной. Своей изюминки нет к сожалению, просто лютая солянка, которую не смогли нормально совместить и обыграть. Мне было интересно ровно до того, как попала в Изнанку и начался реальный геймплей хождения по данжам, где уже и вскрылись все эти "похожести", которые убили интерес к игре напрочь.

Если кто не играл в первоисточник, может и нормально будет, но мне такое было тяжело.

[b]The TL;DR is that Bloomtown: A Different Story is a lovely little Persona-like (crossed with a chunk of Gravity Falls and a smidge of Stardew Valley), with A++ pixel art and great music, let down only by some minor issues.[/b]

For a more detailed breakdown, let's bust out the ol' bullet-point list, though I have marked spoilers where appropriate:

[*]Some of the writing suddenly goes from excellent to sounding [i]odd[/i] and completely lost in translation; it would appear English may not be the team's native language originally, so I'm putting it down to that, despite a mostly great script. I really enjoyed our main character, Emily, who depending on how you play her, can be a whip-smart, golden-era Lisa Simpson-type with a bit of a rebellious streak, often leading to great moments of comedy and showing up her adult peers.
[*]As mentioned, the soundtrack is [i]awesome[/i], but there's not a ton of it (though I appreciate the [b]three[/b] normal battle themes). (Endgame niggle) [spoiler]The biggest misstep here for me, personally, is that the final boss [i]just reused the normal boss battle music[/i], not a reprise or remix or anything! Come on!![/spoiler]
[*]While in general the challenge felt fair, another pass on the overall difficulty/levelling curve might have helped; early-on, I seemed fairly weak (not necessarily a problem) and I was missing attacks left, right and centre... yet not long after I had proper access to fusion and dungeon crawling, I felt overpowered for the rest of the game. Granted, I [i]did[/i] do almost every side-quest (which I would recommend for the narrative, anyway) and obtained a excess of bonus items and equipment, which probably made the journey much easier.
[*]I ran into one or two minor gameplay bugs, even several patches after release, although nothing which soft-locked my playthrough. There was also an odd, minor framerate-pacing stutter in some areas, mostly dungeons, on both my main PC and my Steam Deck. Also, be warned that there's [b]no New Game+ here[/b]; despite doing almost every side-quest in the game, I 'broke' one of the early quests by failing to talk to all four children, and now cannot obtain all achievements without a complete replay of the entire game.
[*]Though there are clear hints that the game is set in 1960's America from the background art and literary/pop culture references ([spoiler]12-year-old Emily later states she was born in 1951[/spoiler]), it often doesn't [i]feel[/i] like it with how contemporary the kids language is and their attitudes are? The vibe is closer to Gravity Falls; a run-down place closer to our time. Not necessarily a complaint!
[*]I get that they're kids/young teens so of course I don't mind that this wasn't any deeper mechanically, but [spoiler]the heavily hinted gay crush between our main character and her new redhead bestie girl Ramona (somewhat more on her end) was super cute; sadly, it doesn't really get to go anywhere at the end of the game. Though how they would have addressed a gay romance in 60's America would be interesting...[/spoiler]
[*]When the game [i]does[/i] tackle friendship events with your core teammates and darker elements (including [spoiler]60's abuse of war vets, the nature of mortality and passing on, and issues such as outdated mental health treatment[/spoiler]), I enjoyed it a bunch, but I wish there had been more.
[*](Mechanical gameplay spoiler) [spoiler]Unlike Persona, and despite the writing implying there was at one point, [b]there is no time limit for anything in the game.[/b] This would be fine as an optional setting in the game for those who don't want the pressure, but without a time limit, the various elements of time management baked into the game design (from deciding what to do each day, to how you level your guts/charm/smarts/etc., to efficiently using your time in dungeons) simply fall apart.[/spoiler]
[*](Endgame) As a counter to my last point... [spoiler]after you take care of the initial main villains, being able to make summer go on infinitely [b]in a way that was directly addressed by the plot[/b] was really neat! Bravo to the devs, here.[/spoiler]
[*]On the subject of longevity, while I think the likes of Persona 4 Golden/Persona 5 Royale are probably a smidge [i]too[/i] long, Bloomtown could have arguably used another 5-10 hours to fill out the core characters (more shenanigans with our main team!) and villains (dive deeper into their motivations!) a bit more.

Another six months of polish to address the points I mentioned above would really have pushed Bloomtown: A Different Story into true classic tier for me, IMO. In any case, I feel it deserves a big DLC/update or even a full sequel so it can reach its full potential, not as a Persona-also, but as its own worthy alternative.

Я прошел игру 2 раза, смотрите, если вы хотите получить удовольствие от игры, не покупайте мощное оружие в магазинах, вам в принципе оно не потребуется, ибо все решает магия. Вам не нужно работать в магазине ради 6$ постоянно, хватит пару раз, все остальное заработаете в изнанке. Лечилки хп и sp проще купить, чем создавать самому. Книги можно читать, но не сразу, как только вас отведут в библиотеку и затем в книжный, вы сможете читать их на столе в комнате Эмили, или же на лавках. Я обычно читал с утра, каждая книга занимает 6 часов, дает те, или иные характеристики. На старте лучше всего взять 2 обаяние и 1 интеллект, обаяние частая штука и очень много раз пригождается, интеллект будет нужен в разных местах, мастерство и смелость наберете в процессе чтения книжек и просто исследуя игру. Для того чтобы поймать демона, нужно использовать магию, против которой он слаб, поэтому когда научитесь качать своих демонов, повышая им левл, сохранитесь перед этим. У вас 30% шанс получить магию при повышении уровня демона, если повысить несколько уровней, шанс больше, но смысла нет. Сохранились, повысили уровень, не получили магию, перезагрузились. Из магии лучше всего точечный одиночный урон, массовый урон редко попадает и мало эффективен, статусы дают сделать комбо другой магией, но лично мне они не понравились. Самый лучший демон - 2 глава Каменная башка, высокий уровень выносливости и магии, а большего нам и не надо. Прокачать демонов можно до 15уровня, я им каждый уровень получал необходимую мне магию и благодаря этому, я мог любого демона поймать, кроме слабого к ветру, ну никак эта магия не хотела попадаться ни одному из 4 персонажей. Также рекомендуется при получении новой магии демону защитнику Рамоне(повелительница кукол) взять массовый хил, если его не взять, когда он будет выдан с 3 другими вариантами, больше вы его не увидите, мой личный прокол.
Вобщем, берете демонам одиночный урон любой магией, кроме статусов и массового урона и легко сможете забирать 1-2 демонов за бой.
Игра в целом очень спокойная, музыка классная, атмосфера великолепно передана, рекомендую.

Bloomtown is clearly a labor of love with great aesthetic but suffers in the mechanics feeling a bit flat across the board. ~10 hours is about all I could bring myself to play, but those 10 hours were mostly enjoyable aside from a feeling of "do I really want to come back to this game?".

A decent Personalike. All elements are well-executed (combat, character progression, dungeons, plot, sidequests, map), and the game has one significant difference: the lack of a time limit, which significantly changes the gameplay experience, as you can enter and exit dungeons at will, spend your days reading books, working, upgrading equipment, and completing sidequests. I'm not convinced that a time limit is a must-have in Personas, but it was nice to do all these things without rushing.

The art is beautiful but that's where my intrigue with this game ends. The early pacing is so clunky that I can't bring myself to power through it and the game reminds me so much of Persona. So many things are just accepted by the characters with little to no questioning and the fact you can be locked out of quests by a bad dice roll is bad design. I wanted to like this game but the combat and demon fusing is so persona and at that point I'd rather just replay persona. Also the fact the battling hust isn't interesting at least early on. Skills that apply status effects that don't do damage until the status effect ticks? AS MY FIRST SKILL? Bro youre making this a slog for no reason. Maybe the story is fantastic but I hear a lot of people comparing it to stranger things so sadly I feel like this game is mid and my backlog is too long for mid. It's a shame, I truly wanted to love this game.

I really likes the art style and the feel of the game. Reminded me a lot of Person 3, but man the miss rate is way to high. That's why I can't recommend this game. I don't mind a challenge in a fight, but if I am always missing what is the point. You may have 4 party member, but only 2 or 3 will attack each round. I never saw Hugo's range weapon....he always missed. Hopefully a patch will come for this, would like to see what else the game has in store.

The main selling point of this game is without a doubt the wonderful pixel graphics: from the characters to the background elements, everything is SUPER detailed and smooth, you can really see a lot of love and time have been poured into them.
There's a lot of elements in common with, or maybe a lot of inspiration taken from, persona 4, both setting and progression-wise, you can like or dislike them but even if both the battle system and the dungeon exploring could've used some little tweaks here and there, the game in its entirey is really enjoyable. It also has lots of missable to incentivize a replay, even if I'm not a big fan of New games/NG+s in general and won't be doing that to complete achievements.
Good atmospheres and good characters, even if the dialogues, especially given the main cast and friends' age group, may feel a little off/ too mature for them. Still an enjoyable main story, along with the sides. Definitely recommended for a quick (roughly 15hrs) and captivating experience.

TL;DW: If you play games for the purposes of tight, well-thought gameplay, with systems that mesh well, and balance difficulty perfectly, with good player agency; basically if you’re a “gameplay systems over all else” kind of player; I’d honestly advise you look elsewhere. This game probably is not for you. I think Bloomtown suffered from trying too hard to be a Persona cover band, when it already had its own charm, and own soul that it should have been leaning on all along.

But if you can forgive a game for being fun, albeit a bit sloppy in its systems, where its strengths instead lie in banging music, cool premise, charming characters, and chill summer vibes, then shut up and take my money. This game just oozes charm and vibes from its every pore, and at least for me, for a short while, it shunted me back 30 years to the summer feeling of my youth, and that’s something you can’t put a price on.

Насколько хорош визуал (художникам мое уважение), настолько же скучен геймплей. За UX для инопланетян ставлю отдельный минус - редко можно встретить настолько неудобный и кривой интерфейс. Отдельная боль - хелсбары в виде сердечек, которые неправильно отображают состояние здоровья врага - сердечко опустело - а врага минимум 2-3 раза еще нужно ударить.

Проект могу порекомендовать только как отличный визуальный референс, но не как игру

It is a mix of turn-based RPG and life management such as work, social interactions and several other activities you can take during the day (I would say taking inspiration from the Persona series and Earthbound). Overall the game lasts 20 hours without rushing things. If I wanted to go for completionist I don't think it would take more than 25 hours (BEWARE OF MISSABLES).

The game has very strong features:
- Extremely curated and polished pixel art to the tiniest detail.
- The battle OST has no business for being this fire for this game, truly.
- Overall the characters, setting, world and story are all equally charming.

It is good when it works, absolute disaster when it doesn't:
- I joke you not, it is riddled with bugs from feet to neck, both graphical and gameplay wise. It feels EXTREMELY unfinished, breaking immersion every 5-10 minutes. I am flabbergasted by how they have decided to release it in this state even on console.
- I have never played myself, but apparently the combat system resembles One More! combat of Persona. As I said I haven't played myself Persona, but I felt that in Bloomtown has been VERY poorly implemented, gameplay progression isn't well thought, most of the time acting like an absolute mess with both the demons and characters level progression, as well as extremely everything being a bit too random for my taste (damage and status effects application mostly).

Mixed thoughts:
- I don't mind the less turn-based RPG approach which is the main reason I decided to get it, but I wished that the actual gameplay was more technically polished. As I said the real issue is mostly the amount of bugs that break both immersion and make the game an overall nuisance.
- Dialogues can have multiple branches, most of which will result in different text. Some choices have different outcomes, nothing major most of the time (That's why my playtime is almost double the amount of average time required to beat the game, I wanted to check out the multiple dialogue outcomes), my last save file amounted to 21-22 hours. There is no New Game+ feature.

I wouldn't suggest this title to a friend in the state it is. A shame really, because I can see the love the developers truly poured into the game, but the title isn't truly polished if I have to argue every 5 minutes on why something breaks or becomes unpleasant to play. Feels like most of the team is comprised of artists, but the amount of programmers was lacking for tackling the task.

Що ж, відгук буде все ж таки позитивним, але виключно за неймовірний піксель арт і цікаву атмосферу. Геймплей нажаль не розкрився для мене в повній мірі, кілька разів я давав цій грі шанс і награв сумарно майже 10 годин, але вона все ще залишається надто нудною і повільною для мене... Таке враження що тут є декілька цікавих механік і непоганий матеріал для розвитку, а проте все разом не тримається купи. Ідея використовувати час кожного ігрового дня наче цікава, але не має особливого сенсу, бо ніхто не заважає скажімо 10 днів просто заробляти гроші і добувати ресурси, закупитись потужною зброєю і тільки потім виносити демонів. Тобто сам плин часу не став чимось цінним у грі. Покрокові бої, різна магія і зброя на перший погляд мали б дати якесь різноманіття, а проте бої і герої відчуваються однотипними. Світ наче красивий, а проте не сильно інтерактивний... Я би мабуть порадив пограти в Sea of Stars замість цього.

I enjoyed my time with this game, because the pixel art is beautiful, the soundtrack is well thought out, and the vibes are good.

However, the technical aspects are.... not great. They stretch the game in weird ways to incorporate persona systems that don't need to be there. The demon system is a little infuriating, doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and in the first few hours i only had one demon captured after trying for ages. The battle and power progression system is poorly thought out and feels random. The social aspect is fun, and should be extended, because the characters are good, so only having a few missions for each character feels a little flat. I liked the smaller missions with unique characters, but again they could be expanded, even a few more lines of dialogue at random points would make the maps feel less empty.

The dialogue is a little off sometimes, doesn't feel natural, and there's never a real resolution for the main plot's 'whys' and 'hows'. They take some swings to make things more mysterious but they don't come together in a satisfying way.

I'll emphasize that every environment is gorgeous, details included in every single map are really good and lend a LOT to making this a playable game. There were a few bugs - overall not a big deal to me.

I wouldn't play it again! I can see this studio doing some excellent work if they take feedback from this game, narrow their scope when needed, and keep up the polish on the finished work.

Игра в целом оставила о себе максимально приятные впечатления, по небольшой скидочке урвать - самое то. Плюсов в ней, на мой взгляд, больше, чем минусов (об этом ниже), и я очень советую прожить эту историю - не пожалеете, потому что, если не относиться к игре слишком серьезно, то игра покажет себя с лучшей стороны.
[i]Главное, не ждать от Блумтауна тэг "Коллекционирования существ". Об этом тоже будет ниже.[/i]

[h2]О плюсах:[/h2]

• Юмор в игре просто на высоте, отсылок вагон - от классического Сияния, до, внезапно, Вархаммера и идущего к реке. Некоторые шутки не улавливаются, так как дело происходит в Америке, но и локальных СНГшных шутеек достаточно.
• Сюжет явно вдохновлён Очень странными делами, вот эти все заигрывания с "Изнанкой", и всё такое. Не затянут и не перегружен. Никаких невероятных сюжетных поворотов ждать не следует - приключение не пытается утянуть в невероятную интригу. Побочные квесты интересные и не пустые, их не хочется пропускать, с персонажами сживаешься, и даже как-то грустно становится после закрытия всех побочек. Сама игра никуда тебя не торопит - в "Изнанке" время словно стоит на месте, поэтому без угрызений совести и выпадения из погружения можно спокойно погулять с друзьями, половить рыбу и сходить на работу, и вернуться на "ту сторону" тогда, когда захочется.
• Пиксель арт в частности, да и весь визуальный стиль в целом уютный до невозможного. Атмосфера одновременно и ламповая, и немного напрягающая. Анимирована игра отлично, выглядит всё гладенько, а анимации демонов в бою ужасно залипательные.
• Отличное музыкальное сопровождение, умелая работа со звуковым окружением (удивительно, но даже повторяющаяся тема боя за всё это время не просто НЕ надоела, но и задавала вайб боёвок Персоны на минималках).

[h2]А теперь о минусах:[/h2]

• Задумка с коллекционированием существ, безусловно, была бы хороша в таком сеттинге, но она реализована ОЧЕНЬ ПЛОХО. Как в коллекционную в эту игру играть нельзя и ждать сбора хоть какой-то коллекции не стоит (у меня демоны худо-бедно начали копиться в кармашке только ближе к последней трети игры). Сама система прокачки демонов ужасно рандомная - рандомный шанс получения скиллов, например, демон с уязвимостью к огню, не использующий огненные способности в бою, может выучить огненный спелл. А может и не выучить. И так вся система прокачки демонов - чистый рандом.
• Не самая очевидная система статов, их распределения между персонажами и вот это "кому какого демона надеть" и "кому какую побрякушку повесить". С билдами нужно подумать. Откатить способности, выбранные при прокачке персонажа, нельзя. Посмотреть, что можно будет открыть в будущем - тоже. Будь добр, компенсируй демоном в кармашке.
• Некоторые квесты, не имеющие отметок на карте. И нет, это не нытье о том, что везде нужны маркеры. Ты банально даже в журнале заданий не видишь описание, куда тебя направили чисто "на словах", и бегаешь как слепой котенок по всей карте или ищешь гайд, чувствуя себя несколько глупо.
• Баги. Они есть, хоть и не много. Критичных за все ~25 часов мне не встречалось, но были "зависшие" маркеры, указывающие на уже сделанный этап квеста, + один раз при загрузке сохранения экран был чисто черным, выход из комнаты пришлось искать наощупь.

[h2]Маленькое послесловие:[/h2]

Перекрывают ли все эти минусы всё хорошее, что есть в Блумтауне? На мой взгляд - нет.
Игра не требует невероятного скилла и не ставит непосильных задач, проходится даже с не самыми удачными демонами, а сюжет и юмор однозначно стоят того, чтобы эта история появилась в вашей библиотеке.

Bloomtown: A Different Story me surpreendeu muito. O jogo mistura uma estética fofa e retrô com uma história pesada e cheia de mistério, o que deixa tudo ainda mais interessante. O sistema de combate por turnos é divertido, os demônios têm conceitos criativos ligados a emoções e a trilha sonora ajuda muito na imersão. A cidade parece simples no começo, mas esconde algo bem mais sombrio. Ótima narrativa, atmosfera envolvente e escolhas que realmente fazem você pensar. Recomendo demais para quem gosta de RPG com história forte e clima psicológico.

Overall I'm recommending this game echoing the plethora of complaints about the writing. The game is just too visually gorgeous and sonically great to call it bad, though. Some more care for the writing would've made it an immediate recommend. If you're a fan of the Persona/SMT games, you'll find something in this to enjoy.

✧ The pixel art is so well done I was super impressed by the sheer AMOUNT of detail in every scene, it definitely hits the mark in creating fresh take on a very dense market for pixel games.
✧ The original soundtrack! I was shocked to hear not just one song for battles WITH lyrics, it's creative decisions like this that make me thrilled to play a game like this. They were also catchy!
✧ The enemy designs and the amount of them, I was happy to not see many of the same ones over and over as well as introduced to new ones as the game progressed.
✧ The lack of hand holding! I personally find this to be a pro, I enjoyed figuring out certain mechanics or places to visit without being explicitly told.

[b]Cons[/b]
✧ I won't beat a dead horse: the writing is just not good. Nothing the younger characters say feels... right or something kids their age would be saying? It's hard to explain until you play for an hour or two and realize the dialogue just doesn't feel natural.
✧ I think this game desperately needs a quality of life update for things like gardening and monster combining. Having to plant seeds and water everything one by one got incredibly tiring and I abandoned the mechanic after awhile. The demon companion leveling also felt like an after thought.
✧ Unlike Persona sleeping doesn't really have a consequence which puts less pressure on the player but it felt weird to not have a downside to ending a day.
✧ I may have missed the quest for it but: why was there a bike teasing me for faster travel outside the house?! Let Emily ride it 😭

I rarely finish JRPGs because they are all kinda the same, so 100%ing this meant surely something.

1. the OST is full of bangers. Can't get some of them out of my head. "Warsong" is one of the best battle themes in a game I've ever heard.
2. the game has some lows (the Asylum feels messy, and some quests bugged out like "Find Sam's Rock") but it's mostly very very clean and functional. The updates surely fixed most of the issues I've read about it these last years.
3. Characters are so interesting, wish there was more meat to their background stuff. I was feeling like I missed something because I didn't even explore some buildings and stuff, but apparently there were no more character quests. But I play VNs and Princess Maker-like games, so I'm a bit skewed on this.
4. Enjoyed the game through and through, I'd really love to see a sequel to this with grown up Ramona and Emily. The vibes were immaculate.
5. The fact that there are no time limits is the main reason I could finish this game. Never even tried to play through an entire Persona game because I hate time limits and I want to do *everything*, or the closest I can do to everything, without rushing through the game because of some time limit.

This game is uninspiring. It took a while to get to the fighting scenes. The gameplay is just a reskin of Persona. There is a dog instead of a cat; you use workshop table to make lockpicks; there are even persona fusions, etc. But everything were done with less depth and breath compared to Persona. The story is pretty boring as well. Even with discount, it felt like a rip-off.

A história é longa, umas 15horas de gameplay se explorar bem ou até mais, tem uns puzzle dificil e alguns de boa, ótimo jogo, me diverti bastante.
