Creative concept if the online worked this game would be loads of fun! this was my starting point for BB btw
For the past year or 2, yall have made the move to no longer put BB1 and BB2 on sales, obviously with the intention of getting more people to buy BB3 slopfest and discourage people from just buying 2 and having fun with it. This is just another bad stop gap business move and for that alone I dont think I will ever buy BB3 or any other products, and this is from a long time BB1 and 2 player/customer.
I keep trying to give this game another try, but I guess i'm too much of a smooth brain, there's no fun in this game. Everything is random RNG, honestly i need more time than just 4 minutes to move all my guys. Looking at both teams players and their moves and stats each turn. I just can't seem to get it down. Judging by the player base, i'm not the only one.

The best Blood Bowl, by far. Very good balance of brutality and whimsy, a large list of factions, and systems that work like the tabletop game.
Rage inducing but so good
Blood Bowl 2 is the gold standard.
Sports with extra violence is always a fun video game concept (Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball, Speedball, Mutant Football League, etc). This one operates by tactical strategy rather than real-time action. It's both satisfying to learn the basics and improve your skills if you have the patience. I think I stopped when I reached a team in the campaign beyond my skills. I never pushed through to the next win or started over. I had a great time while it lasted though.
If you enjoy Blood Bowl the miniatures game, then this version is the closest you can get to it. A much improved game compared to BB1 and fair less bugs and problems, than BB3. Have fun.

Je pige pas comment c'est foutu et pensé.
Ca pourrait être simple, un jeu de plateau, des ligues, des équipes, des algorithmes de lancés de dés... rien de fou.
Mais si, c'est une p****n d'usine à gaz.
Pour jouer en solo faut quand même passer par le serveur qui patine et qui bug. Les dévs sont vraiment des quiches.
Passé ça, Blood Bowl c'est cool même si c'est frustrant. Surtout que c'est nerfé à mort, dès qu'on gagne un peu trop, le jeu se venge (doubles six même en désavantage, etc).
Est-ce que ça vaut le coup ? Clairement NON, sauf si vous êtes un fan du concept et que vous aimez vous faire mal, comme moi.

This is a very faithful digital adaptation of a dice-heavy board game. If you love that style of play — calculated risk wrapped in layers of RNG — this will probably click.
For me, it doesn’t.
I’ve installed this 3–4 times over the years thinking maybe I just needed to “get it.” Every time I bounce off. The pacing feels slow, the animations feel drawn out, and the dice swings feel less like strategy and more like inevitability.
I respect that it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. It just isn’t for me.
If you already like Blood Bowl, this is probably worth it. If you don’t like board-game-style RNG and methodical turn structure, know what you’re walking into.
Personally I’d value it around $1.99 as a curiosity purchase.

This was previously my favorite digital instantiation of Blood Bowl, and it really did a great job of replicating the experience of playing the board game.
At first, I didn't want to review this, because I had jumped on the newly released Blood Bowl 3, and I wanted to see if it would be as good as 2... it wasn't at first. We're now a couple years post-release of Blood Bowl 3 and it's finally reached successor status in my opinion. Hopefully not too late for me to get the old league back together...
Anyway, go pick up 3 instead of this version, it's more active and includes all the latest Living Rulebook updates.

Went back to play this to refresh my memory before maybe picking up the third game. Possibly the worst pretence at random number generation I've ever seen. The AI cheats, and does so blatantly. There is absolutely no pretence whatsoever, as it makes you roll consecutive skulls, 1s and makes you waste your rerolls (often from the very first roll of the game). Meanwhile, the AI rolls everything perfectly, flattens your players and makes a series of dodge rolls worthy of a four-leaf clover. There is absolutely no way in this lifetime that people have the bad luck this game seems to think is commonplace. Avoid this like the plague.

Eternal League progression is broken. It sometimes fails to register matches and makes you play the same opponent again, and the game you just played won't show in history. This bug has apparently been around for at least 8 years, so I wouldn't expect them to fix it now.
Le jeu est bon, c'est fun. Par contre, les dev de cyanide c'est vraiment une équipe de peintres. J'avais déjà connu des crash en série à l'époque de "chaos le4gue". Et là on est pas loin de la même qualité de finition. Va falloir relever le niveau de jeu les gars.
{edit} Après plusieurs parties en solo, je constate qu'il faut compter sur des dés génétiquement modifiés qui sortent des résultats ésotériques à répétition, au moment le plus épique bien sûr. On retombe donc sur le défaut de beaucoup de jeux de pseudo-hasard , les tirages sont pipés pour aider l'IA. Je n'ai pas essayé en multi, un peu refroidi par l'expérience.

Toujours un aussi bon portage du jeu de plateau en jeu vidéo. Plus beau que son prédecesseur mais ce n'est pas vraiment ça qu'on regarde lorsque qu'on met un bourre pif dans le nez de son adversaire en ramassant la balle de l'autre main. Je regrette peut etre le systeme économique basé sur les DLC. Un peu cher pour jouer un nombre d'équipes variés. Il faudra se limiter à ses équipes préféres.

Great Game
Single-player uses a “keep it close” system.
It interferes with long-term league progression and prevents the classic Blood Bowl sandbox experience where a team can truly snowball into an unstoppable monster over time (especially in Eternal League).
That design choice is the one thing holding this game back from being great. The fix is simple: add a single-player option/toggle for “competitive balance ON/OFF” and let players choose how they want to play.
Until then, it’s a good Blood Bowl game that insists on managing the outcome too much.

Il y a tellement de choses a dire, mais le mieux serait encore que vous le testiez vous même. Une petite larme pour l'IA qui même en difficulté max, se laisse surprendre par des supercherie étonnamment simple. J'ai testé de lui faire croire que je n'avais personne en défense sur un flan, il a sauté dans le piège, à eu 4 joueurs dans les tribunes en un seul tour de jeu hahaha.
Ah et faite gaffe, le jeu adore vous donner 3 têtes de mort pour vous nerf de temps à autres, crâne épais, sa sauve des vies.

Blood Bowl 2 es lo que pasa cuando alguien mira el fútbol americano, le pone armaduras, le suelta orcos encima y decide que la “estrategia” incluye calcular cuántos huesos vas a romper antes de anotar. Es Deportes… pero del tipo en el que la pelota es opcional y el plan A suele ser “tumbar al rival hasta que se le olvide jugar”.
La propuesta es por turnos, con posicionamiento táctico, gestión de riesgos y ese delicioso sistema donde un mal dado puede convertir tu “jugada maestra” en un compilado de bloopers. Primera impresión: divertido, cruel, y sorprendentemente serio para ser un deporte donde la ética se deja en el vestidor (si es que el vestidor sigue en pie).
Si vienes buscando acción arcade, aquí te van a recetar paciencia. Si vienes por estrategia con sabor a Warhammer y drama competitivo, bienvenido al lugar donde el RNG te humilla en público y tú igual vuelves por más.

Blood Bowl 2 es un gran juego de Deportes/Estrategia para quien disfruta pensar, arriesgar y aceptar que el destino viene en forma de dado traicionero. Cuando funciona, es brillante: decisiones tensas, jugadas sucias y esa satisfacción de ganar porque leíste al rival… o porque el universo decidió odiarlo a él.
Ahora, seamos controversiales: con 98 jugadores actuales, el multijugador puede sentirse como un club privado donde a veces hay reunión y a veces solo está el conserje. Aun así, 6970 recomendaciones no salen de la nada: es un título querido por su nicho, y ese nicho es intenso, rencoroso y feliz.
Si te atrae el PvP táctico y te da risa perder por una mala tirada (o al menos lo superas), vale la pena. Si te enojas fácil con el azar o necesitas una comunidad gigantesca para sentirlo “vivo”, te vas a frustrar.

Blood Bowl 2 is a fantastic strategy game that perfectly captures the spirit of fantasy football: violence first, rules second, and Nuffle laughing at you constantly.
Playing Amazons feels like organized chaos. They dodge like professionals, look confident doing it, and then immediately fail a simple action because the dice decided today is character-building day. Elegant, efficient, and still somehow on the ground.
Then there are my Lizardmen. Absolute units. Towering, terrifying, unstoppable… until the ball shows up. Watching a Saurus stare at the football like it’s an unsolvable riddle while a Skink panics nearby is pure comedy. Strength 4? Incredible. Ball handling? Optional.
Every match is dramatic. One bad roll turns a master plan into a stadium-wide disaster. The crowd cheers, players die, and the referee continues to not care.
Despite (or because of) the chaos, it’s endlessly fun. When a plan actually works, you feel like a genius. When it doesn’t, you blame Nuffle and move on.

Blood Bowl 2 is the reason I’ve looked at the clock, thought “just one more turn,” and then noticed the sun coming up. It’s a beautiful mess of strategy, slapstick violence, and dice-fueled betrayal that somehow turns losing horribly into part of the fun. You can plan perfectly, play smart, and still watch your star player trip, explode, and cost you the match and you’ll laugh, because that’s Blood Bowl.
What really hooked me wasn’t just the gameplay, but the humour baked into every animation, every death, and every ridiculous moment of Nuffle’s wrath. Add in a passionate, opinionated community that understands suffering is a shared experience, and you’ve got a game that feels less like competition and more like a long-running inside joke. Blood Bowl 2 doesn’t respect your time, your plans, or your feelings but it respects the spirit of the sport, and that’s why I kept coming back for “one more game” until tomorrow.
I absolutely adore this game, however it is not without its flaws.
First of all, I can't really recommend this unless you grew up playing Blood Bowl the board game in the 90s, or if you have watched a lot of cKnoor's Let's Plays of Blood Bowl on youtube (ideally like me, both). Else you have a lot of learning to do. cKnoor very nicely has a lot of guides on Steam for starting teams.
Also, sometimes the game glitches after you've beaten the AI in a league, which means the result doesn't count and you have to play against them AGAIN.
As for multiplayer, I've heard various things about the community. If it's anything like the original game, they will quit as soon as you start winning.
It can be infuriating sometimes when you seemingly roll duff blocking dice all game, when your opponent seems to be getting lucky with weak players obliterating your strongest ones.
If you get past all that, you have a solid turn-based American football game with a fantastic variety of teams and it's hella addictive when your team starts winning.
Better than BB3, you can enjoy the fun of the game right from the begining.
Graphism and gameplay are neat and rules correct if you know the table top game.
And cherish on the cake, no rampant agressive moneting features!

- Долгая прокачка команд (за 30 часов гномы 1850к и хаос 1960к без кампании)
- На высоких лигах ИИ делает команды которые просто максимально закуплены, но не прокачены.
В целом, отличная игра позалипать в соло или с кем то. Жаль реальная настолка часто протухает т.к. игрокам тупо лень выделить время и собраться, из-за чего куча лиг заканчивалось после пары сборищ, хотя в это можно играть даже в пивнухе.

Я успел написать часть обзора, пока противник ходил. Почему такое большое кол-во кубиков? Разве нельзя их было сделать меньше, чтобы игра не превращалась в случайную пиздиловку? Почему на 13 ходе из 16 я веду со счётом 4-0, но игра не заканчивается? Мне предлагают просто кликать по случайным клеточкам, чтобы побыстрее закончить игру?
De começo é confuso, posicionamento e a relação ataque/defesa, mas quando aprende, o jogo flui.
Claro que sendo um jogo de DADOS, pode dar merda pra você e seu oponente dar boa, mas é a natureza.
Tem bastante raças para se jogar, então tem MUITO FATOR REPLAY e o mais interessante, quando você monta um time, tem um gerenciamento dele, compra de novos jogadores e outros benefícios, o que ao meu ver é interessante.
Se você curte jogo tático, é uma boa opção pra se divertir, não é um jogo ruim e a versão completa com tudo fica baratinho em promoção.
Minha dica é: Jogue no Hard, sim, Hard, no fácil a IA se fecha muito no "quadrado" dela e trava o jogo, o hard ela avança mais, o que consequentemente tem maiores chances de errar.
Ah sim, seu jogador pode MORRER dependendo da pancada.
I enjoy this game, but if you want to play this single player, it's just a subpar experience with plenty of bugs, some of which make it so that a game you just spent time playing will just be considered as having never happened, and will force you to quit the league, counting as a forfeit, and if you put up any cyans to join, they'll be lost.
If you play online, it's dramatically better and shines.
Many people are returning to this game or skipping the 3rd instalment because the developers are trying to squeeze every penny out of you with a new sub par product and its cash shop. This game has warts, but they're primarily on the single player experience.
It doesn't have every team, and it's an older rule set, but most are there and it's definitely functional, and the DLC is included in the legendary edition which regularly goes on sale.
Blood bowl 2 with a modern ruleset would be ideal. But when it comes to the opportunity for the developers to make a good game, their attention is elsewhere. They should have focused on building this game up (Which was also dog water on release, cyanide is not a developer I trust as nothing they release seems to actually be ready on release and their latest activities make me believe that they do not care the slightest amount about their players or the opinions of those players.), instead, they focused on money and practices so anti-consumer that it borders on becoming funny, yet falls short even in that regard.
You should not buy it until Cyanide not only decides to be better, but proves that they're better.

Le jeu en ligne est souvent sinistre (monotonie des choix d'équipe et des stratégies, joueurs toxiques) et le jeu solo manque d'intérêt malgré son enveloppe colorée (IA aux fraises). Mais ça reste amusant assez longtemps, jusqu'à ce qu'on réalise que Blood Bowl c'est plus drôle sur le papier qu'autre chose.

Blood Bowl 2 n'est pas un mauvais jeu en soi, mais il vaut mieux être informé quand on souhaite se lancer dans cette aventure : BB2 se destine à être joué en multi, et dans des ligues privés et organisés.
D'une part si vous souhaitez jouer en solo, vous n'êtes pas au bon endroit, le mode solo est passé à la trappe ; il ne subsiste qu'un timide mode "campagne" qui consiste à une succession de match scénarisés peu intéressants.
D'autre part si vous comptiez vous lancer en multi, le problème est à peu de chose le même ; vous allez enchainer des matchs dans une ligue ouverte sans véritable classement, c'est vite redondant surtout avec des matchs de Blood Bowl qui finissent souvent par se ressembler.
Le vrai intérêt du jeu est donc de trouver une ligue privée qui organise un championnat ou une coupe avec un nombre limité de joueurs, ca se trouve sur internet et c'est là que le jeu se révèle véritablement : dans sa communauté.
Mais pour ceux qui n'ont pas le temps ou la régularité de se lancer dans une ligue privée qui dure parfois plusieurs mois, le jeu ne propose rien d'intéressant, ni en solo, ni en multi.
Rien à dire sur la politique de DLC, c'est habituel dès que c'est un jeu Warhammer, mais je tique un peu pour le DLC qui offre enfin une campagne solo qui devrait être là de base et en plus est nulle.
Beautifully designed replacement for the boardgame for those evenings you can not play the game physically with a human. The in game videos and "live" commentary by the commentators (an ogre and a vampire) are mildly amusing. I wholeheartedly recommend this as the replacement for the real thing with a human player. However DO NOT buy this game if you want to play solo at least against teams of near equal skills and Team Rate. The artificial "intelligence" sucks, it barely finds the opponent's end zone with a ball carrier or identifies opposing players who are threatening to score a TD. I've played a few dozen games against the AI and lost only once (and that was against the Chaos All Start with Team Rate of 300 something). In all of my near equal TR games the AI has managed to score just a few TD's with elf or skaven teams against my near zero mobility teams, and even then usually after I've managed to get double skulls in a block very early in the turn. The AI poses no threat to a player who has mastered even the basic tactical skills of the game.

I would love to reccomend this game but unless you want to go through 24 hours of ball torturing factory as youre never allowed anything but the computer has ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything. succeeds everything. and you can play perfectly jsut to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by a couple of dice rolls. you wanna win. well i hope that you didnt plan on succeeded a 93% a 63% or a two dice block. The game will show you 18 different ways of scoring and winning before just cheating sending three ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ through the check to see if they can run and just surround you. i cant run one extra square without getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ injured. 1/10 for anything that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matters. 9/10 cause it is 40k. So Sadly disssapointing. I genuinley wish i could refund this stupid game but sadly steam dosent allow you past two hours. the only part not rigged is the turtorial that lasts about 2 hours in the campaign and its the only thing that actually lets you 0play the game. dont get the game

Honestly I wish i could whole heartedly recommend this game. But in recent years the support for this game completely disappeared. BB3 is almost identical. Just another cash grab without meaningful improvements. I love this concept, and I if you love the Warhammer universe and don't mind some swingy dice rolling you would love this too.
The AI has either rigged diced or can see the results before making a play. Totaly unfair and not fun.
