This is a Plants vs Zombies genre game with a lot of fun twists. It is an "old school" mouse and keyboard game with no controller support unless they are remapped. Once in awhile you need to take a break and play a casual game. This is one game I always go to.

This is a simple, by the numbers little tower defense game. It has a vibe similar to the old Plants vs Zombies, but with more traditional tower defense mechanics. The base difficulty is fairly easy, but starts to spike quickly in the second half of the game.

The number of allied units is kept relatively small, which keeps things simple. There isn't a huge variety of enemy units, but each is different enough to be meaningful. The mechanics generally cleave closely to the genre, but there are a couple novel elements introduced. The main places it differs from typical tower defense are:
1.) You gain no points from killing enemies. All currency comes from economic towers you build.
2.) Rather than having a base with health, you instead have a number of cows that the martians attempt to kidnap. They have to both reach the cows and return to the spawn point with them, giving you around twice as much track to fight them off.
3.) There are various tools you need to actively click to use, including a captured martian raygun or a cowbell to encourage captured (and then escaped) cows to run back to their pen faster. You also have to manually collect currency from your towers.

So overall, it's a bit of a different experience, but still solid tower defense gameplay. There's really no downsides here, except perhaps being a little on the simplified side. It's a great game to try out the tower defense genre, though tower defense veterans may want something with more variety or more depth.

Cute game. Yes, it is old! And it is not the most strategic TD on this planet but not everything has to be a competition. I enjoyed the cows and aliens. It was a nice game to play when you just have not much time. I have this game for years and I still play it from time to time (and one day I will have all achievments :D)

Ідея прикольна реалізація середня. Це тавер дефенс який по сюжету по проходженню рівнів відкриває нові машини і челенджи, а гравцю необхідно не дати вкрасти інопланетянам своїх корів. Гра прикольна тим, що є лазер та колокольчик, з якими гравець активно взаємодіє, наприклад лазером знищуючи бульбашки невразливості у вчених. Колокольчик звісно рідко використовується але все ж. Мені подобається арт та концепт, різні вороги класні окрім [spoiler]моба, який знищує машини гравця, він занадто жирний ще й ламає машини. Краще було б або зменшити дуже хп для лазеру або взагалі вирізати з гри[/spoiler].
Гра гарна на декілька вечорів чисто сюжет на ветерані. Челенджи та доп левели на ветерані погані - це трайхард ускладнений відсутністю хоткеїв.
На жаль дуже багато машин є безкорисними або слабкими, ефективна стратегія втупу спамити всюду стартовою мащиною за 200. Дуже не вистачає хот кеїв або на машини, а краще на лазер та колокольчик, бо однією рукою у різні частини екрану перемикати це капець.
Основний сюжет норм, я всю гру тільки на ветерані грав і рекомендую так робити. Прикольно обіграна тематичність рівнів, коли восени ростуть гриби які треба прижигати, а взимку замерзають машини. Але погано те, що всіма машинами особливо немає де користуватися - коли відкривається остання машина по суті завершується сюжет.
Челенджи деякі прикольні деякі складні тупо через відсутність хоткеїв на лазер та машини.
Бонусні рівні тематично прикольні, по геймплею погано, особливо рівні зі всесвітами Валвів типу халфи та тфки, я того Гордона Фрімена зненавидів.
Взагалі не дуже сподобалось що після сюжетки доп рівні та челенджи це загатовлений вибір машин і ніяк інакше. Хотілось би просто більше стандартних рівнів де потрібно самому набирати машини та добувати шестерні. Сумно що гру далі не розвили по типу як першу частину ПвЗ, після проходження сюжету якої є багато чим ще зайнятися.
Після повного проходження гри можу сказати що я ще б раз пограв у ній тільки в сюжет на ветерані. Або пішов пограв у першу частину PvZ.

I don't know why this game has a review score as low as it does. Sure, it's not as good as Plants vs. Zombies, but I think it's a great game. There's a lot of variety in the types of martians and in the defenses, and you have a zapper gun that you can use to inflict extra damage and do various other things. You'll be using it a ton, basically. The spring and summer levels can be a bit slow, but things really pick up in fall and winter and can get pretty challenging at times. There are also themed bonus levels and several challenge levels, all of which I thought were great. Overall a fantastic game, really enjoyed it.

I realised I have 1100+ games in my Steam library and I was going to die before I played them all.

So thought I'd spend a bit of time on each one, a new one every night, and leave a short initial review.

I LOVE THIS!

I am a Plant Versus Zombies veteran, (1st one, not the horrible monetised versions that followed) and this reminds me massively of the zen fun I had with that game. Similar tower defence concept, cute graphics, cute game play, cute music. I hope it plays on my Steam Deck with the touch screen!

So much more fun than Bejeweled 3 that I just reviewed after about 3 mins of game play boredom!

Beware planet earth is a simple but rather fun and very busy tower defense.

the obvious goal is to save the cows from being capture by the martians , who come in all sort of different flavors , some of them are faster , some of them have special ability , can jump , use disguise , teleport , freeze your machine or try to dismantle them.

the game main mechanism is the access to a zapper gun that allow you to directly damage the martians , unfreeze your machines and destroy those pesky disguises.

the challenge is fairly balanced , it's usually just challenging enough to keep you on your toe while rarely feeling overwhelming.

Beware Planet Earth is a tower defense game with a simple premise: build towers to prevent cows from being abducted by aliens. You start off with only a few towers, but you unlock more towers and weapons as you progress levels along the way. You play through seasons of the year, and every season brings with it a little thing you have to keep in check over the course of a round. The game plays out simple enough since towers do not upgrade but unlike many other tower defense games, this is not a sit back and relax type of game.

You HAVE to focus and use additional tools given to you to collect cogs (currency for towers/weapons) deal residual damage to enemies, fix your towers, herd your stray cows back to their graze and continuously build or place objects. The further you get, the more it becomes required to not slack off and watch the entire playing field to ensure there isn't a wrench about to be set into your plans. As more aliens are introduced, an additional layer of attention is needed so that the one gimmick of these aliens doesn't ruin you entirely. This is a good game for someone that wants hyper activity and to click everywhere like a mad man because the game gives you no other choice than to do so. This is NOT a good game for those that want a laid back tower defense experience (BPE does not have a fast forward button for good reason, it wouldn't work here). This isn't the hardest tower defense game out there, but it will give the inexperienced a good run for their money on Veteran difficulty until they figure it out.

Also the game is really inexplicit in its wording almost all the time. "More damage".. okay.. but how much more? Tower Defense games are all about maximizing your defenses and this attitude is not viable in my opinion.

Очень интересный Tower-Defense, почему-то напомнивший мне plants vs. zombies. Сложноватая, если поставить ветеранский режим и спасать всех коров. Надо очень быстро реагировать, а также нужно продумывать куда поставить башни. Во-общем, благодаря разным и новым механикам, вот почему игра такого жанра (единственная, причем) - мне зашла.

这游戏很不错，老婆很喜欢玩。大部分人说游戏难度高其实可能是勾选了困难模式，普通模式下游戏难度还是一般的。即使到了困难模式只要排好阵列也不会太难（故事模式）。
游戏类型可以算是PVZ和王国保卫战的结合了，游戏整体氛围还是很轻松，只可惜塔的种类较少且没有进一步进化升级的系统。说不上特别出众，但我觉得至少也是个佳作。推荐给喜欢塔防的人群。（何况还有半条命2和万圣节的变装关卡，有趣）

i dunno man i feel like i have a gun pointing towards my head and i have to say something good about it otherwise im dead
~good stuff~
-this game is my childhood and i just loved the art style back then and now
-theres quite a few little secrets mostly in the barn (crowbar from HL, companion cube outside from portal, ? block from mario, a dragon ball under the desk, theres something on a blueprint but i feel like its from a diff game, diamond pickaxe outside from minecraft)
-theres extra game in it (meet the martians, this is halloween) and challanges
-veteran mode if ur a gamer and want the challange
-different gameplay elements that make u use ur zapper more (mushrooms in fall, freezing machines in winter)
-a "famous" quote on each martian when u check their desc.

~bad stuff~
-generic enemys (slow, tough - fast, weak - boss - etc)
-the boss is always the same one just with more bandages around it each time you meet it again
-most machines dont have a purpose when u get another (balancing issue)
-why is the screen so small (please make it so we can edit the screen size)
-you literally never need ur keyboard through the entire game (besides naming urself at the start)
-boosting ur machines is almost useless (theres literally a martain that forces machines to boost so they get burned out)
-the zapper is with you basically the entire game and you take it away when the player needs it most but dont teach them how to make a defence without the zapper
-sometimes the game bugs out and i cant pick up the boomer, zapper or cowbell
-sometimes the levels are very spammy and if u dont have a crowd control machine u basically lose the level

i love this game but the NZ$11 is way too much. bump it down to a 3-5 dollar game

Comme il ne suffisait pas que notre lait soit exporté partout dans le monde, les martiens ont décidés de prendre eux aussi le petit déjeuner avec un chocolat chaud...Mais pour cela il va leur falloir des ressources à récupérer (vos précieuses vaches)...

Et autant dire avec votre cousin bricoleur bloqué dans ses toilettes toutes l'année, vous vous sentirez bien seul... Mais heureusement, faute d'être enfermé, il peut construire des machines qui peuvent vous aider dans vos combats et même vous faire remporter la victoire ^^

SI vous avez déjà joué à Plants vs Zombies, le principe est le même mais pour un délire que je trouve un niveau en dessous. Toutefois, n'allez pas croire pour autant que la ou plutôt les victoires seront faciles car réussir à conserver le nombre de vache donné du début à la fin du level est parfois ardu (même en mode facile) et pour ma part, je n'ai pas fait le mode vétéran qui augmente la difficulté.

Vous aurez également des sections niveaux bonus et challenges si vous voulez en remettre une couche qui eux aussi deviennent difficile rapidement (et que vous pouvez refaire en mode vétéran)

Pour ma part, je n'ai pas fait ce mode supérieur, finir l'histoire en ayant conservé toutes mes meuh à la fin du niveau me va très bien.
Mais il sûr que celui qui veut du challenge corsé ne devrait par être déçu.

Je recommande mais soyez prévenu, le jeu ne fait pas de cadeau ^^

Ein spaßiges Tower Defense Spiel vom Entwickler "Lightmare Studio" und bisher das einzige Spiel, welches sie herausgebracht haben (Stand Feb. 2022). Man muß seine Kühe vor den Marsianern retten, indem man eine Verteidigung aus Türmen, Fallen und anderen Objekten errichtet oder die Laserpistole benutzt. Hands down one of the best tower defense style I have ever played. My only complaint is they never made a sequel for this. Not overly difficult, but this allows you to experiment with your layouts more as opposed to some TD games where you have to figure out the exact layout they want you to have. Aliens in this game are quirky enough to make it fun and who doesn't love cows (even if it is just to save them to put a delicious steak dinner on your plate)? Great game and I highly recommend it.

Good tower defense games are usually addictive and you can spend many hours in them. This one is rather for shorter sessions because the game concept is more based on time management than strategic planning. The pros are sense of humor, short levels, variability of enemies and easy control. The cons are action rather than strategic gameplay, steep difficulty curve, low variability of defense structures without possibility to upgrade and the game become repetitive after some time.

This game is no fun and is pure work, especially on Veteran difficulty.

The whole difficulty is not in finding the right tactics, but in clicking 2000 things at once while keeping an eye on your Zapper's cooldown. In other words - it's pure mechanical, not strategical.

Nice graphics/animations and similarities with Plants vs Zombies doesn't save this game from being a dreadful experience. No speed toggle is another issue, especially at the beginning of levels.

No resolution options - another downside.

This is an alright tower defense game from the few hours that I played it. That said, I didn't hate it or anything, but it didn't have that addictive quality for me that a lot of tower defense games do: that sheer satisfaction of laying waste to the oncoming enemies with your towers you build and upgrade. Your mileage may vary, of course, as opinions are subjective, but as a fan of tower defense games, this one just didn't "feel" right for me to care to play it any further. While I contend that facts outweigh feelings almost everywhere else in life, when it comes to enjoying entertainment, the entire premise is to feel enjoyment or not feel enjoyment, and I was not feelin' it here.

For those of you who do like it, be sure to write your own reviews to discuss the game. I didn't really have any gripes with the game itself aside from the sensation of killing with its towers, which is just a personal preference thing. If you're interested in buying the game, perhaps watch a gameplay video on YouTube to see if it would appeal to you. No ill will toward the game, but I can't say I liked it much at all...though the aliens were cute, which is a plus, I suppose. =)

Very simple and relatively hard tower defense game with cute graphics, but otherwise clearly made with a very low budget. It basically tries to steal Plants vs Zombies' jokes and style, but lacks everything that made PvZ a great and very addictive game (like the flawless presentation, sense of progress, meaningful difference between the various 'towers', excellent balancing, perfect user interface, and so on). There are so many excellent tower defense games on PC, some more traditional, others adding various innovative twists to the genre. I really don't see any reason why you should spend your time playing this very mediocre one.

This is a rather uninventive clone of every other tower game, ever. It has the feel of Plants v. Zombies, without the actual fun. The different tower options just keep adding on and on and on, and eventually this saturation prevents any real enjoyment because you have a limit on how many you can use each level.
