It provides the option to play the simple version or the more advanced, challenging versions with multiple weapons. Quite entertaining!

Didn't have to play this long to hate it. Two games and every time the computer honed right in on my ships. Cheating AI ruins this game so I am getting a refund.
Klassisches Schiffe versenken war schon immer ein schönes Spiel, früher noch auf Papier gemalt. :-) Battleship ist auch schon älter, gab es früher auch mal für DOS 6.xx. Das war auch schon nicht schlecht, aber dieses Windows-Game gefällt mir bisher am besten, mit den schönen Animationen & Geräuschen. Ein neueres ist mir bislang nicht bekannt, könnte aber sein dass es noch bessere gibt. Ich kann dieses Spiel nur allen empfehlen, die sich dafür interessieren. Ich spiele es zwar selten, aber ab und zu schon ganz gerne mal. :-)
I have a fond memories of all these games. I'm glad that there is a way to play them against A.I. or online... They are not very complicated and simple fun...
Loved playing classic battleship back in the 70's long before it was on a computer. And now I can even play alone against an AI. Great Game guys.
Its ok simply putted. There is no Multiplayer mode. They need to come out with one that is better.
Decent approximation of Battleship. You can play in Classic or Salvo mode. And by ranking up, you gain access to superweapons. Might suggest getting on discount, but otherwise recommended.

Basically what one would expect from a game of Battleship. Sure, there's a mode with super-weapons but what you see is what you get. Don't get me wrong, if you like playing a quick game of Battleship then this doesn't disappoint, however don't think you're going to be wow-ed by top-notch graphics. Nothing extraordinary but, still, a fun, competently made game.

It would have been a nice game except it was extremely laggy in terms of audio and video, even when I turned the cutscenes and audio off. I got a refund quickly.
I don't get the mixed reviews on this game. It plays exactly like the original game.
Honestly, it is better than the Electronic Battleship I got for xmas in 1979.
The shooting sequence could use some variation from the same gun / weapon being used for every shot, but other than that, it's the same game I've always played.
Good game. It's a very nice tabletop design and some game modes, ranging from the classic to modes with different weapons, like firing on an area or a whole line. Nice, simple interface. Enjoyable to pass the time. I can understand people complaining about no 'multiplayer', but I can't understand the complaints about what they got. It's Battleship! And works fine. On windows 10, I found no bugs or crashes at all. So, I recommend this game.
Not recomended, just crash when i have a i7 and 1070, so bad performence, and not the best quality.

The point of battleship is to play with other people. This just allows you to play by yourself with a stupid A.I. Just go buy the bored game version.
This game is just prefect for the audience I bought it for - my grandson, who loves ships and Battleship.
The graphics are good without any violance and for a 6 - 9 year-old this can be exciting.
There is no local co-op play, because there is no way to hide each player's peices.
But for kids, who aren't looking for a lot of vairation, this is just fine.

The version of Battleship that's on Steam has three different modes: classic, salvo, and nuclear.
Classic mode is what we're all probably used to seeing. You fire, and hit or miss, it's the opponent's turn.
Salvo allows you to fire as many shots as you have ships available. In other words, if you have three ships remaining, you can fire three individual shots anywhere on the board during your turn. It's in Salvo mode that keeping as many ships afloat is crucial, as serious advantages or disadvantages can occur based on fleet size.
Nuclear is a made-for-video-game mode only. In here, you have special weapons (such as torpedoes, mines, air strikes, etc) that are unlocked as you progress through the game. While the additions in Nuclear mode are neat, the problem is that the AI does not have the same restrictions you do, so it has immediate access to all weaponry. Unless you've unlocked enough weapons, you'll be at a serious disadvantage.
While playing there are cutscenes when you attack with any weapon. If you miss, your shells fall harmlessly into the ocean; however, if you hit, you see your shots doing damage to whichever ship you hit. These cutscenes include special weapons in Nuclear mode, so if you launch an attack helicopter, you'll see that particular cutscene instead of the standard "turret aims and fires" scene.
The graphics aren't great, but they aren't absolutely hideous either. I like that the cutscenes differ depending on weapon fired and which ship you hit. Also, the weather can change, so in one game it can be bright and sunny, and the in the next, it can be dark and stormy.
So far, this is sounding like a pretty good adaptation, but there's one MAJOR problem: it's single-player only.
That's right, there's no multiplayer at all. You can't play against anyone online and apparently there's no local multiplayer (aka "hotseat") available either, despite the store page specifically stating "sink enemy battleships in hotseat play."
This means that whoever wrote the store's description either had no clue what they were selling or outright lied. Both possibilities are inexcusable.
Battleship is meant to be a multiplayer game. Playing against the AI is okay, but most people (myself included) would've liked to play against other people and probably bought it with that assumption in-mind because the store page says there is hotseat gameplay.
Fortunately, I bought this game during the Winter Sale, so while I'm still annoyed at the errors posted on the store page, at least I didn't waste money purchasing it at full price.
Due to the incorrect information presented — through either carelessness or dishonesty — I'll have to give this game a NO recommendation.
I've searched high and low, and this is the best interactive Battleship game EVER.

Single player, the game works very well. But how do you make a game based on a head-to-head board game and NOT include a multiplayer option?!
3 out of 5 mainly for that reason. It's well made but anyone looking to play battleship will be disappointed by the total lack of multiplayer so...thumbs down.

I like this game, lots of fun to be had. LOL
it is a fun game. challenging to a point you have to achieve things to get better weapons in super weapons mode. the draw back is the pc plaer is not bound by the task it will get the weapons no matter what! the game i enjoy but the higher you go the pc becomes better i have never got all weapons. 1 you need to hit all 5 ships in 1 attack. the other you need to sink all 5 without a loss of your ship and the big 1 a satelite laser you have to kill all 5 enemy ships in 10 attacks. if you add it up the total is 17 but if the pc is given the bonus cruiser now its 20. it is not possible when the pc gets all the weapons without doing what the player has to do to get the same weapons. this game was set up never to be beat! I still try thinking maybe i will get lucky and catch a break and get the weapons to win the super weapons level as far as the rest of the salvoe mode and classic excellent! a fun game.

少年時代における学校というのはいかにして遊ぶかという場だったと回想します。
不思議なもので教えられたわけでもないのに「巡洋艦」や「駆逐艦」という言葉が全く違和感なく聞こえるのはこういった遊びが自然体験されていたからなのでしょう。
コンピュータゲームの発達によりこういった言葉も一般的な言葉としては死語と化したのではないかと想像していたのですが、近年のブラウザゲームのムーヴメントでまた自然に触れる機会が得られるようになったようです。
BattleshipはハズブローとPopCapが贈るコンピュータゲーム版戦艦ゲーム（海戦ゲーム）です。これの権利ってハズブロー社が持っていたんだと再認識するきっかけでもあったわけですが、実は映画化もされていたとは知らなかった！未鑑賞のため暇を見つけて観てみようと思っています。
元はモバイル向けのソフトウェアのようなのですが、PCゲームとしてSTEAMでも提供されているわけです。携帯機器でゲームはしたくないと思っている僕には嬉しいリリースです。
モバイル向けのためボリュームはあっさりしたものでゲーム中BGMも無いようなのですが、その分全てが一目で理解できるほどシンプルな構成です。モダン版海戦ゲームとしてモードは「通常モード」「一斉射撃モード」「スペシャルウェポンズモード」と3つ用意されています。
「通常モード」はクラシカルな1発ずつ交代で撃ち合うターン制。「一斉射撃モード」は5発ずつ交代で撃ち合うターン制ですが、落伍する艦船1隻につき発射数が1発減るというシビアさがあり、対戦向けだと思います。ただしネットワーク対戦モードなどはありません。一人遊び専用ソフトウェアなので「スペシャルウェポンズモード」がこのゲームのメインとなることでしょう。アンロック式で多彩な攻撃範囲を持つ兵器を使い分けて遊ぶモードです。
「スペシャルウェポンズモード」の兵器はターンごとにエネルギーがチャージされ、エネルギーが溜まると使用可能になります。攻撃の計画性が強いので本ソフトウェアでは最も遊べるモードとなると思います。
PCで海戦ゲームをソロでやる。ただそれだけのシンプル極まりないゲームなのですが、このゲームには「時間はないけれど1ゲームしたい」「寝る前の1ゲーム」という需要を満たしてくれます。だいたい1プレイあたりの時間は10分程度なので考えすぎることもなく、リラックスした時間を過ごすことができるでしょう。
ソフトに1ゲームしたい。そういった気分のあなた。Battleshipはいかかでしょうか？
I like the game visuals and the sounds the game supplies. However the game dose freeze up alot...:(
A nifty little game, with some enjoyable new game types that make things a bit more entertaining. The salvo and Superweapons game modes add a bit more dimension instead of simply B1, miss, C3, miss, D6, hit..... ect...
Nothing special, but easily worth it if you find it on sale or liked this game growing up,
I should've read the reviews on this before I spent the money. Not worth $10. It is a playable game, but last I checked, there is no multiplayer, and its very simply done. The core game logic is there, but the animations are simple and cheesy, and they don't fit the theme of a tabletop game.
This is a somewhat enjoyable game, I rate 3 out of 5. My primary objection is a lack of a multiplayer setting either through hotseat or over the web. If yuou want to play against a reasonably random AI in a single player mode of an old classic, then go for it.

I bought this game on sale today (3-22-2014) for $3.99. The game is worth it for that price. I liked the graphics and salvo mode and superweapon mode. It is sufficiently replayable for $3.99, as you can work up the ranks up to Admiral. The game would be better if it had online multiplayer. I would not pay the full price of $9.99 for this game, however.
I only bought this game to keep my sanity and shut up a 5 year old I look after as they cannot cope with the original board game and try to cheat all the time.

他のモード含む累計撃沈数で色々な兵器がアンロックされていく
個人的にSALVOがほどほどにさっさと決着ついて好きです
モード以外は普通に普通のレーダー作戦ゲームなので…特に書くことが…
あ、対戦モードとかオンラインとかそういうの無いんで脳内嫁とか脳内姪とか脳内艦娘とかそういうのをなんかこう対戦相手にアレして頑張ってください

This game is crap. The graphics suck, the controls are clunky, and the computer opponent is an idiot.
So I got all four board games made by this developer, decided to playtest each of them.
I quite like Batllship, fun little board game.
I'll keep this specific review short since I'm not too sure what to say about it.
It's battleship with some verry annoying (and togglable) cutscenes. Just turn off all sounds and cutscenes, turn on your music of choice, and enjoy the classic board game.
A nice little Battleship game, I rather liked the superweapons game mode. I drawback I can say is that fact it is singleplayer only since battleship has always been a two player game, this is unfortunate but, I suppose if you don't have a person to play battleship with this works almost as well. All around not bad but not particularly spectacular either.
No Online Multiplayer and frequent crashes make this a dud in the water.
I had more enjoyment watching the movie.
I bought this to play with my daughter, after forgetting to check it's multiplayer potential. There is none. A single-player only version of Battleship? Why? This is stupid at best. And I'm stupid for assuming it would contain multiplayer. Ass/u/me.
