Kurz aber geil. Ein super Ende. :DD

So intensiv, wie man es will, doch machbar, was den Schwierigkeitsgrad anbelangt. Die Grafik sehr gut (Venom sieht fantastisch aus). Habe mit Maus und Tastatur gespielt und klappt einwandfrei. Mehrere Modi. Eine Kampagne+ einen Endlosschleife etc. Die Charaktere sind knuffig, was nicht so meines ist, doch diese habe ich ganz dolle liepe :3

Nur zwei Dinge. Zwei mal war die Kamera im Spiel schwach positioniert, doch insgesamt paßt es. Und in einem Level fiel der Boden weg und schnitt mir Gegner ab, die ich dann nur mit größerer Verzögerung erreichen konnte, was auf den Ausgang des Levels Einfluß nahm (ich starb). :D

This is fast, non stop action. A game really could not be better. What's also great is you can just play it without spending 20 minutes in time wasting cut scene or who knows what.

Really fun game, bought it in 2015 when it released and it just sat in my library forever. Now that I'm a lot better at games then I was 10 years ago the game was honestly amazing. Soundtrack was ballin the entire campaign, gameplay was smooth and enjoyable, the voice acting was really well done for 2015. Did this game make me crashout near the end, a little. I sencirely wish to find ANYONE wo take part in developing of this game and make smoozy from their hands to make sure they NEVER make such annoyingly stupid ♥♥♥♥ again.
1. Camare are floaty and there no option to make it fixed. It float as it wish and only it's purpose is to ♥♥♥♥ You up.
2. Arenas are crampt as liquid pооpіngs... Literally. There no place for maneuvering and DPS of at least "main character" are not enough to clear it out fast enough.
3. Arenas are shifting while You progress it. It is bad thing, because You have no control on it. It amplify annoyingness from previous two points, because while arena shifting camera may also turning... WHILE YOU TRYING TO AIM ENEMIES!!!
4. Hitboxes are quintessence of dеgеnеrаcy. You regularly will take damage because lost vision of Your character and take hit because geometricaly it looks like projectile will miss You or because despite shooting precisely in enemy... It will not take damage.
5. Game mechanics while sounds interesting in real are... "Annoying" is a softest possible definition of it. Enemies drop upgrade points for Your weapon which work as experience and increase weapon effectiveness which have four levels from zero to three... Which You lost if character got knocked. Your ability to stand up by tapping "fire" will not help, because You can take baсk only like half of upgrade points after that. Game use cheesiest way to knock You BTW. Also battery mechanics... More like all pickables mechanics - they have inertia. I got wiped several times because "battery"(basically timer recovery item) float around me by inertia instead being picked up. And there many more little nuances like damage balancing and stuff.
Overall this is a bad designed game. I'm not new to twin stick shooters and even Brigador where I have really bad involuntarily sеx with controls was leagues much more enjoyable than this ♥♥♥♥. Hell, "Alien Shooter: Legends"(all of them) was MUCH more enjoyable despite it was really horrible game which I hate.
And to anyone who wish to say "It is because You need to learn the game and master it to enjoy."... SERIOUSLY?!! Maybe You then go and bent Yourself to suсk Your own dісk so You will be able to enjoy оrаl seх? Similar level of dеgеnеrаcy, You know. If it is annoying to the point You literally wish to hurt people than it be better to not "learn the game" if You value Your mental health, because satisfaction from success are negative in this game. I am Ok with "learn the game" if it hard, but enjoyable and telegraphing what You done wrong... This game just not.

wow this game is old AF i jsut revisited and its still pretty great. Such a weird game to me, it looks like its for kids, silly, goofy style, but plays so smooth with a pretty high skill ceiling.
Characters are super simple to to just pick up and learn in 5 mins, with good variety.

Theya rent game changing differnt but a few of them feel unique they all play fun :)

Cons:
1. Your game might crash. Mine crashed thrice and I have no idea if there's anything that could be done from my end.

I don't play the widest plethora of games, but I have the odd favorite that I come back to frequently, AAC is one of them.
I was drawn to it during the time I followed what games were getting added to PS+, and though Cactus didn't make the list, I remember watching the trailer and being enthralled, I'm Sci-Fi and arcade-y-biased, and the cute characters in this setting was novel to me for its time.
The experience I had back then, on PS4, where I S+'d the campaign all the way through as Holly, then as [spoiler]the first unlockable character who has a Piss Laser and micro missiles[/spoiler], then (until the last boss) as [spoiler]the third unlockable character, who is a favorite, uses a railgun & deployable mines[/spoiler]. This, the character/weapon selections & their play styles, was just fun & compelling enough for me to want to get it on PC. Strangely, I don't think the PS4 version got the 'plus' update?
Anyway, this was probably one of my first experiences where, when I need to blow off steam, or calibrate my reflexes, starting this game on a dime just to shoot things in infinite mode feels therapeutic, daresay relaxing, and I'm thankful for that. And I do give credit to its 'battery' system that, as long as you keep it charged, permits any number of deaths & revivals, as something that opens accessibility(?), as I feel it may have for me.
Playing this game feels smooth, and playing it well is satisfying.
The environments, all* taking place on a spaceship-[spoiler]*sometimes outside of it[/spoiler] manage some variety, but you will still largely be looking at metallic, if tastefully colored and patterned, interiors. Sometimes the environments change their visual and physical shape (or attributes, like conveyors changing direction, speeding up) [i]around[/i] your presence, even in infinite mode, which looks well (though you can get caught behind walls a couple times) and does well to keep you on your toes to continue chains.
I don't know if the game won awards for visuals, but if not serviceable for its time (2015), does largely compliment the gameplay IMO (a compliment as much as the game feels good to play, which it does Very Much, and its performant I think, I may have used it for laptop benchmarks??)
The extra options are wonderful, so is Gamepad support, even simultaneously with someone on KB+M.
The soundtrack is banger, I bought & listened to it during paid work, and it stills occupies my mind, please give it a listen.

Cons-
There's no online multiplayer. Though there's scoreboards, if you're looking to play this with another, you may have to rely on couch-play-netplay services and hope the internet quality is sufficient.

More than the sum of its parts! A sort of "euro-arena shooter" from ancient times (2015) with some remarkably prophetic design strokes: a weapon xp system similar to Vampire Survivors, a chaining and ranking system not unlike Pizza Tower. Has a clear focus on aggressive play with a refillable health bar (hence the euro- connotation), highly influential powerups, and a timer system that allows any amount of deaths as long as you can keep your battery charged. Of course, dying reduces your weapon power, so your mistakes compound into a steep death spiral that takes savvy and a bit of luck to climb back out of.

Worth noting that this game is *very* well-featured, with Story mode, Endless mode, tons of impractical (but very fun) EX options, and most remarkably, a "Developer commentary" option where the creators discuss the design of every single story mode level. It's an incredibly rare piece of documentation that shows the personalities of the developers, the things they focused on, and the love and attention they approached this piece with.

Assault Android Cactus is without a shadow of a doubt, one of the greatest twin stick shooters out there. I have been playing this game for years with my friends and recently downloaded this + version on Steam to see more of the game. I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone looking for couch co-op games to play with their friends, it's an absolute must have. I don't know if we'll ever get one but I look forward with great enthusiasm to a possible sequel.

I couldn't beat the final boss so I got my girlfriend to do it for me and I loved how pretty it looked as it approached a bullet hell. The characters have so much more unique dialogue than I expected and I really loved the voice acting. Sometimes it feels like there's no way to improve tactically and you just have to get lucky with the spawns, but the game didn't feel random most of the time.

I don't know if I've played many twin-stick shooters in my time but this stands out to me as deeply satisfying! No hours here, played the entire thing on Switch and would be interested in trying to get on the PC leaderboards >:D
Gameplay = Super Satisfying and felt forgiving
Soundtrack = Absolute banger after banger
Characters = So much fun, each of them had a characteristic that we loved in the way they played or interacted with each other (but Starch is by far my fav, so adorable, so powerful)
Highly recommend for one or for people that like to play the entirety of a game's main campaign with a partner or friend :)

This game could be great but shoots itself in the foot for some reason.
In each game you have a "timer" in the shape of a battery that slowly empties itself. If it reaches 0 you die. How to refill it? Battery refills are drops seemingly randomly by ennemies. Your battery is running low? Too bad, here's a drop you didn't need.
Speaking of which...
This game was designed for 2 players. I'm sure it's more fun with a second player, locally. But the adaptation to 1 player is very poorly done. You still have to control 2 characters at the same time, and they begin each game rather close to each other, but if one of them gets out of health OR if you DARE to grab the "bonus" that gives speed, then your other character just starts wandering away. On controller, this means having 1 character aiming at what you want, and the other one aiming at a wall.
In short, the battery idea, and the speed boost, should be REMOVED (in my opinion) at least in solo mode because they make thing needlessly difficult.
If you are a solo player, playing on controller, I cannot recommend that game.

Some really cool ideas here. Base gameplay loop is fine, but I feel like it's missing a little juice to get over the finish line. Would've liked to see the battery mechanic used way more than it is in the current game. As it is, still a fun time to play through.

Premiere twin-stick shooter. Casual play is forgiving and has lots of variety. Local co-op is chaotic fun. The iceberg goes pretty deep with skill achievements and S+ rankings even before you get to score optimization, of which I've barely scratched the surface.

You've to keep collecting batteries to not lose your energy so most of the time you gonna lose because of energy drainage especially on later stages. Feels unnecessary over complicating things like that. Also there're no dashing or dodging so good luck with avoiding getting hit while being surrounded. You have two weapons where one acts as kind of a "special" weapon with more punch power which can be used sometimes. Boss stages are ok. Game feels more suited for simple coop shooting than single player and to be honest I didn't enjoy it.

Devs, if you ever see this, I need to know if there will ever be a sequel. This game is one of my all time favorites. I beat it over and over on xbox. Now, I'm stuck trying to S+ all of the levels on PC. Aubergine is nuts btw, I love her.

The combat is amazing, the gameplay is fun, and there is so much in the game that can be built off of to be put into a sequel. I'm always finding myself turning back to this game.

A gem of the genre with some fun quirky humor. Works perfectly on linux as it does on windows.

The music's really cool, the levels are fairly numerous and varied, and the same can be said for the enemies, characters and weapons. It's got good gameplay and game mechanics, and of course it also appears to be rock solid and bug free, haven't had a single issue.

Visually nice, and somehow manages to also stay visually manageable even when there's a ton of action, which is something a lot of games can't get right. You know where you are and where to go and what to get at all times.

And the way it plays is pretty engaging, you have to stay active to stay alive and recharge your battery, which gives it a good kind of tension. It offers a fair challenge, too.

After I started playing, I couldn't stop, had to finish the whole thing. Then I went to unlock new weapons and play the infinity drive mode, which I still pick up to play from time to time years after finishing the game.

Really love this, it's both fun and pretty, and a very replayable thing to come back to.

Great twin-stick shooter. Super fun co-op, great pacing. And let's not forget - the MUSIC! If you want to pick up a game with a decent and rewarding challenge. Pick this one up, you wont be dissapointed.
