I went into this game mostly out of curiosity and ended up enjoying it way more than I expected. It’s not trying to be a huge, super complex RPG, but what it does, it does really well, the whole experience just feels fun and full of charm from start to finish, the first thing that stood out to me was how well the atmosphere is captured, the characters feel exactly like they should, with the same personalities and humor you’d expect, the dialogue is full of jokes, weird situations, and little moments that made me smile more than once. It honestly feels like you’re playing through a long interactive episode rather than just another licensed game, the combat system is turn-based and surprisingly enjoyable, it’s simple enough to understand quickly, but there’s still some strategy involved, each character has different abilities and roles, so you actually have to think a bit about how to approach fights, timing abilities, using items at the right moment, and managing your team makes battles engaging without ever feeling overly complicated or frustrating, exploration is another part I really liked, moving around the different areas never felt boring because there’s always something to check out, you can find chests, talk to different characters, pick up items, and run into little references and funny moments along the way. It rewards curiosity, which made me want to explore every corner instead of just rushing through the main story, visually, the game looks great and stays very faithful to the original art style, the environments are colorful and lively, and everything feels consistent with the world it’s based on. It doesn’t try to be realistic, and that actually works in its favor, the art direction gives the whole adventure a unique and recognizable look, the pacing is also pretty good. You progress through the story at a steady rhythm, unlocking new abilities, upgrading characters, and discovering new places to visit. It’s not an extremely long game, but it never feels stretched out either. If you take your time exploring and doing side activities, you can easily spend a good amount of hours enjoying everything it has to offer, one thing I appreciated a lot is how relaxing the overall experience is, it’s the kind of game you can sit down with and just enjoy, you follow the story, explore a bit, fight some battles, laugh at the dialogue, and keep going without feeling stressed or overwhelmed, overall, this ended up being a really pleasant surprise. It’s charming, funny, and clearly made with care for the world it’s set in, if you enjoy light RPG mechanics, exploration, and a good dose of humor, this is definitely worth playing. I had a great time with it and would absolutely recommend giving it a try !!

The gameplay and the story is pretty simple, but the animation, cutscenes an voice acting are awesome. As a big Adventure Time fan, I enjoyed going on an adventure with my favourite characters, but I am glad I got the game on sale, because it is a bit short, has a few small bugs, and the sidequests are repetitive. Still, it is a cute and charming game, with the usual Adventure Time humor I love.

(Gameplay Spoilers) Honestly this game is pretty mediocre.

The best thing about it is how well it executes being an Adventure Time game and making you feel like you're really in the world, but that's about it.

The combat is whatever, and especially in a system where you're going to have 4 characters on field at the same time, with none of them being allowed to role-swap (as in from Main DPS, Support, Battery, etc.), why do we have 3 damage dealers and one battery/support? I can understand Jake being a unique slot, since he's AoE focused, but both Finn and Marcelina are Main DPS characters which would normally be fine if you had a bigger roster to choose from, but again, this is it. I do really like BMO as a battery, but honestly, even with the energy ability upgrade costing a lot of money, it's still just such an overpowered ability to the point where after I got BMO, I never died a single time. You could replace finn or marceline (but most probably Marceline since that'd be much easier to realistically integrate) with someone who's either a team buffer or a significant enemy debuffer, or even just a healer, but that leads into another issue.

This game is so ridiculously generous with the amount of money it gives after battles and even just a little bit of breaking different objects in the overworld (seriously I spent like 2 minutes here and there in each area) for cash that I always had at least 6 of every normal healing item, and always 2-3 of the most expensive healing item (along with a bunch of the other items), yes I am being serious. I was literally buying all the healing stuff in Choose Goose's shop to the point where he'll have to start a subsidiary brand just to keep up with the demand 💀.

The one rebuttal I see for this is simply the fact that the game is really short, and doesn't have the time it needs to properly flesh out the mechanics it wants to because of that, but in that case, I don't see the point in making an RPG, the mechanics of which you won't be able to flesh out properly because of the short length.

I'll also say this because this stuck out like a sore thumb. Usually I don't expect much from the music of a game, even though I've played many games with phenomenal soundtracks to the point of being some of the best music period, but I still go in with an open mind for new games (you shouldn't expect every new game you play to be a Cuphead or E33 Soundtrack after all; that's just unfair). And while many tracks in this game are fine, there are a couple battle themes that I can't be kind to- they're just bad. I get the point is to replicate the Adventure Time sound, but they absolutely could've done a way better job.

I really only see this game making Adventure Time fans happy (and I'm one of them), because if you're anyone else, you probably just won't find it all that great, especially to a mountain of actually great turn-based RPGs you could be playing instead. Final Fantasy, Paper Mario, Persona, Expedition 33, etc.

this game is not bad, but if it was not adventure time i would not have bought it.
at the start the combat did not click but it did click soon and while not the deepest combat there it was some simple fun to be found. and coming from most of the games i play, being able to just easily upgrade your stats with dosh felt nice. also felt like the movement between around the map felt too slow unless you use the jake moped but with that you cant jump or anything and that is annoying at times. also for like the first hour the game did give me a headache. it also did just feel like a bad console port like if you press s after letting go of w it just whips the character to facing the back
i do really wish that the story was longer (maybe between 7 and 10 hours total?) but for what the story that is there it is not bad through I feel like the ending was a bit abrupt and not really satisfying, but to be fair i dont find most endings to be satisfying anyways, the story felt like it could fit into like a 2 parter in adventure time, most of the jokes landed for me with the meta jokes, jokes like how they will not talk about this adventure in the future, to me are the funniest. the conversations that the party has on the boat, mainly jake and finn at the start of the game, are fun to listen to.
if you like adventure time give it a try on sale but idk if it is just me but some, not most, of the voice actors sounded different then in the show, the weirdest one being the penguins sounding different, maybe they were just phoning it in but it just sounded weird to me

Я дуже хотів полюбити цю гру, бо вона виглядає і звучить просто як мультсеріал. Оригінальні актори, фірмовий гумор - все це тут є і створює правильний вайб. Але як гра вона мене, на жаль, розчарувала.

Найбільша проблема - це просто [i]зламаний баланс[/i]. Битви з босами тут можуть затягнутися на 15-40 хвилин! Ти б'єш їх, знімаєш половину HP, а вони просто регенерують майже повністю і сумонять помічників. І так по колу, поки в тебе тупо не закінчаться хілки. Навіт БІМО з його регенерацією енергії не рятує ситуацію.

Також розробники схалтурили зі світом. Він на 80% складається з води і плавати між цими клаптиками суші дуже швидко стає нудно. Купа їжі чи речей з бафами виявилася непотрібною. Ви або будете дуже швидко перемагати, або дуже довго, де у ворогів захист від дебафів. Шкода, але геймплей тут просто душний.

Пробежать чисто сюжетку можно за 6-7 часов, на 100% достаточно 10-12.

This was not a perfect game but it was fun. There is a bit too much running back and forth to do some quests and the last third of the game has enemies with overinflated health.

Also ran into a few bugs that required a restart, items had wonky UI in battle, and the 4th party member's hp isnt visible in battle, but otherwise it runs well on Steam Deck from start to finish.

En sevdiğim çizgi film olan Adventure Time'ın açık dünya oyunu ve hiç de fena değil. J-RPG tarzı bir aksiyon sistemi yapmışlar. Karakter geliştirmek zevkli. Good game overall, though I’d recommend buying it when it’s discounted. Some people reported glitches while playing that caused them to miss certain achievements, but the only glitch I encountered was Jake getting stuck as a motorcycle. Other than that, I had a smooth experience and finished the game in a single playthrough. Definitely worth it.

Zerei o jogo e, no geral, a experiência é bem divertida, principalmente pra quem é fã de Hora de Aventura. A história é simples, mas funciona: Ooo está inundado, os heróis precisam investigar o que aconteceu e tudo é contado com aquele humor maluco e carismático da série.
O ponto mais forte é a fidelidade ao desenho. Os visuais, diálogos e personagens passam muito a sensação de estar jogando um episódio interativo. Navegar pelo mapa e explorar ilhas é legal, mesmo que o mundo às vezes pareça meio vazio.
O combate por turnos é bem simples. Funciona, não é quebrado, mas acaba ficando repetitivo depois de algumas horas. A progressão dos personagens também é básica, sem muita profundidade pra quem curte RPG mais complexo.
Tecnicamente, o jogo tem seus probleminhas: alguns loadings longos e pequenas quedas de ritmo, nada que estrague totalmente a experiência, mas dá pra notar falta de polimento em certos momentos.
No fim, é um jogo divertido, leve e casual. Não é um RPG memorável, mas entrega exatamente o que promete: uma aventura divertida no universo de Adventure Time. Recomendo principalmente para fãs da série ou pra quem quer um jogo tranquilo pra zerar sem estresse.

As an adult Adventure Time fan, this game was quite fun to play. I enjoyed being able to play as multiple characters and interact with the rest. It was a cozy, but action filled game.

In my opinion, this game has a lot of potential in terms of story and gameplay, but what we actually get feels very limited. It doesn’t take long to finish the game, and that’s quite frustrating, especially for me, since I’ve been a fan of the Adventure Time series since the beginning and always look forward to any game released from this franchise.

That said, I can’t be fully mad about it. If the game studio decided to make it this way, then so be it. My suggestion is: if you want to play this game, buy it only when it’s on sale. I personally bought it because I missed the Adventure Time cartoon and other Adventure Time games like Card Wars.

So yeah, for nostalgia purposes, this game is pretty decent. But if you’re planning to buy it purely for the gameplay experience? I’ll leave that decision up to you. If you have extra money, go ahead. But if you’re the kind of person who carefully compares prices and value and you’re just curious about the game, it’s better to wait for a discount.

Oh, and I’ve heard that this game supposedly has a lot of bugs. From my experience, though, I didn’t encounter any significant bugs at all. You could even say there were none during my playthrough. So yeah, that’s basically it.

si lo actualizan o algo, yo le pondria que tuvieran habilidades pasiba, por ejemplo: marceline, que al atacar a enemigos rojos, se recuperase un tanto porciento de vida (ya que ella solo toma el color rojo en la serie), luego que finn, tenga tanto porciento mas de daño, cuando jake no esta vivo, tambien pondria habilidades definitivas combos, es decir, ya que la habilidad definitiva de finn, no hace apenas daño, pondria que al tener a finn y a jake, hagan lo de finn dentro de jake (la fusion vaya), y cosas asi... para lo que vale el juego.... Aun asi, es maravilloso, ya que siendo fan de la serie desde muy pequeño, estoy super maravillado, con el juego y sus detalles.

If you are an adult who likes the series, it's tolerable. If you got it for your kid, make sure they are patient as the cutscenes are not skippable. Overall it was super linear and the only thing that stumped me was forgetting a penguin in the candy area. Other than that it was an easy game. I didn't use any items or anything through the 100% run. 6/10

Relatively short story and super quick to grab all the achievements... It was a good experience though. The game has all the original voice actors from the show and all the vibes are there. Really easy and fun turn-based combat. I am not usually one for turn-based combat, but this is one I could definitelly get my head around.

Прикольная игра в духе JRPG по "Времени приключений".

Визуал вполне достойный для игроизации такого мультфильма, а саундтрек подкачал - его практически нет. Основной сюжет весьма короткий, что плюс для данного исполнения игры. Сайд-квесты частично простые и незамысловатые, а частично сделаны так чтобы вы мучались - особенно возя пингвинов, детей и занимаясь поисками кальмара. Прокачка в игре сделана плохо - для очень короткого сюжета она мучительно долгая и чтобы выкачать максимальный уровень необходимо заниматься натуральным гриндом.

Отдельно стоит выделить то, что игра очевидно создавалась для консолей. Управление под мышь и клавиатуру выполнено неудобно на уровне "есть и ладно". Рекомендую играть с геймпадом.

По скидке взять - вполне можно. Если вы поклонник мультсериала. В ином случае покупка сомнительная

You gotta get this, like yesterday! Legible map with typical themed islands to explore. Plot moves you along with out wondering what to do next. Nothing ever gets too tedious, also not too boring either. Wouldn't expect any less from this iconic tv show. Being kind to others is a valuable lesson for young and old. Who doesn't want to be a pirate?

Esse jogo é muito bom! Tem algumas referências do cartoon, que é algo legal pra quem gosta de AT, é um jogo simples de jogar, muito bonitinho e divertido pra passar o tempo jogando. Me lembra jogar no PS2. Tem um bug ou outro, mas não me atrapalhou em nada. Dito isso, sou muito fã de hora de aventura e recomendo se você quer se divertir com um joguinho mais descontraído. E pegue em promoção se estiver em dúvida se vale a pena ou não.

I grabbed this game as I was a fan of Adventure Time and I'm an achievement hunter and this game looked to be an easy 100% in under 15 hours. Everything was going well, until I hit the "collect 12 apples for Treetrunks" mission and I had an apple get stuck in a tree, the one closest to the snail easter egg and no matter what i tried the apple would not fall. Game is playable but quite jankey at times and getting all achievements is more about getting a lucky run where none of the side quests glitch out. Would not recommend for achievement hunters.

This game is pretty old and full of janky bugs that've caused me to get softlocked in my quest to 100% the game as an Adventure Time fan. "Why give it a positive review then?", because I felt like despite being left in a very inconvenient state with bugs that again have caused me the displeasure of having to play through the entire thing three times now, it's a pretty decent RPG and is for the most part pretty enjoyable. The combat is somewhat interesting and the game definitely encapsulates the vibes from Adventure Time in almost every single way. It's practically a playable episode from the actual show itself. I'd honestly give it 6/10. Minus points for the following, janky ship and players controls, softlocking bugs and for the game being left in a poor state.

It's a shame WB had to unfairly delist every single CN game there was leaving only this title to really stand on its own as the sole representation. They should really reconsider and relist everything they took away from the fans that would love to indulge in titles like this despite how janky they may be. The fans will love them regardless and new players will find the things that make them so charming. These words will fall on deaf corporate ears, but my love for Adventure Time won't. Consider giving this game a try if you're an AT fan and you like simple and entertaining rpgs that're definitely suitable for younger audiences.

WARNING: If you like to 100% titles just be warned when being introduced to the following quests. Play the game at a casually slow pace. When introduced to the candy kids quests, wait until your strong enough to traverse the entire map before picking up any of the kids. When introduced to the pirate ship quest, immediately activate it and defeat all of the ships in specific locations around the map. When introduced to the penguin gathering quest, go back to your treehouse in order to spawn the mini ice island, you should then proceed to gather all of the penguins afterwards. DO NOT pickup penguins and candy kids at the same time in an attempt to complete both quests at simultaneously. I'm sorry for those that don't see this warning before playing. There are no publicly available save files I could find at the moment of writing this review.

TL;DR it's a decently simple rpg that's entertaining enough in both plot and combat. If you're interested in 100% be very wary that you'll run into a ton of softlocking issues that really ruin the experience. I stopped trying after I had to restart the game 3 times because enemies and quest items didn't spawn whatsoever. 17 hours is overboard for something that should've been doable in a single run.

Juego horrible, mecánicas basiquísimas que aburren al tercer uso de cada una, movilidad aún peor, es un backtracking terrible; En el primer combate pensas "uh, que bueno, tiene pinta" a la hora ya no queres pelear con nadie de lo tedioso y largo que son, igual con las misiones secundarias donde cada NPC te pide ir a buscar un objeto o porquería distinta a lo largo de todo el mapa (sumado a que te moves como si tuvieses usando a Michetti de taxi pero no! es Jake transformado en una Honda wave 110 con menos papeles que mantero de once, por qué no se transformo en un pepino ancho y se lo metió en el booty a Finn asi por lo menos era mas interesante el juego,,, que encontraba interesante en eso no?) todos los personajes parecen mas retrasados que el anterior pero menos que el siguiente y el juego se resuelve de la manera más estúpida que te puedas imaginar; Es un "cada uno hace su parte y lo sumamos todos en el final" solo que se complotaron entre todos para que el trabajo lo haga uno solo, a las apuradas y todo para que salga terrible boronga. Better than El Pomberito in my books. Que concha hago haciendo una reseña de un juego de HORA DE AVENTURA dios mio, dejo mi LinkedIn abajo.

[h1] Only buy if you like Adventure Time, and it's on sale [/h1]

This game is weird, because if it had nothing to do with Adventure Time, I can guarantee it would be complete garbage, and if you don't like Adventure Time then it might as well be comeplete garabge to you. If you're a fan, the first hour or two is pretty cool: you get to explore the world, and the combat at first glance seems decent. But the game falls off the more you play it, and turns to custard if you try completing all the optional quests. Here are some of the thoughts that popped into my mind as I was completing the game.

[*] The combat is extremely basic and flawed in a way that incentivizes spamming the same move. Your special move energy pool is shared, which means you'll be spamming your basic attacks on other characters to build your gauge, then you'll use your strongest single-target or AoE attack. Rinse and repeat for every encounter in the game.
[*] Resources are abundant and extremely cheap. You can use items/heal, and attack/defend all in one turn, you will never lose a fight.
[*] The side quests are big letdowns where you just fetch something or kill something.
[*] The Kraken is bizarre to me. It's introduced at the beginning and can totally be ignored, in fact it seems broken. The best way to kill it is to anchor at an island, sail to make it appear, shoot it once, anchor at the island again, and repeat this eight times. Then nothing interesting happens. I'm not even sure you can kill it by randomly encountering it. In my game, its health reset, so I had to use the island farm method. The game would probably be better without it, or they could have made a cool boss fight out of it.
[*] Speaking of which, boss fights follow the same pattern as normal fights, they just have massive health pools.
[*] There are ~9 islands in the game. If you just do the main quest, I think you can straight-up skip a couple of them. There are only three big ones (Forest, Candy Kingdom, Fire Kingdom), but other than being thematically interesting, they are pretty bland. You pretty much do the same thing on each one: fight, do some generic puzzle, and progress the story.
[*] The sailing is dreadfully slow.

These thoughts make the game sound pretty awful, and upon reflection I find it hard to think of any positives outside of anything related to Adventure Time, but that's what this really comes down to. If you don't mind playing a painfully mediocre turn-based adventure game but love Adventure Time characters, then it might be worth it.

The only reason I haven't given it a negative score is because it's a short, complete experience, and the repetition only really comes into play at the very end of the story, or if you want to get all the achievements. So if you don't care about that then the short 4–5 hour playtime might be worth it as long as you don't buy it at full price. I can't remember what I paid for the game because it's been in my library for eons, but it definitely was not $31. $5–10 is probably the most reasonable price, just don't buy it at full price.
