Rather than focusing on mechanics, progression, or even clear storytelling, it presents a brief, contemplative journey built almost entirely on visual language and music. It is less about interaction in the traditional sense and more about observation, inviting players to interpret its meaning through mood and symbolism.
The experience follows a small, silent raven wandering through a quiet town, encountering a handful of characters and scenes that unfold without dialogue or explanation. There are no written prompts or spoken words to guide the player, and the narrative is conveyed entirely through imagery and subtle animation. Each moment feels carefully composed, as if part of a moving illustration, and the lack of explicit context encourages players to draw their own conclusions. The story is good. The art is good. But this is not a game. That's why I can't recommend it. Have it been a youtube video or a powerpoint, I would recommend it.
Why is everyone riding this novel's dісk? It's complete trash. The fxcking worst novel that could ever possibly be conceived. This novel was clearly devised in an unusual manner, specifically by getting thoroughly prepared before its creation using a ton of drugs, because in a normal state of mind you couldn't write such bullshіt. How I pity all the readers of this cheap piece of shіt, I hope the developer of this novel attends some literature courses or at least reads a book, taking an example from something normal.
What's even the point of such novels when there are normal electronic or book versions available?

История ворона. Интерактивная зарисовка в виде анимированной новеллы. Мы можем только перелистывать страницы (причём, сначала в одну сторону, а потом в обратную). Сюжет без слов даёт простор для интерпретаций, навевает грусть. Графика и анимация немного похожи на старые гравюры. Симпатично сделано. В игре звучит всего одна песня (причём её до финала можно прослушать всего дважды, настолько игра короткая). Песня печальная, но цепляет за душу. Тут же нашёл себе и скачал. Подытожу. Игра короткая, на подумать. Погрустить. Такие проекты (пусть и короткие), напоминают, что игры могут быть искусством. Возможно, не для всех понятным. Игры я редко оцениваю, но эта заслуживает 8/10.

I would say it is the closest equivalent to a visual novel feeling a music video. That is the best way I can describe it, but any case, despite how short it is, just like a good music video it packs a heavy punch with silent yet effective storytelling and soulful music. Not to mention the art, it is gorgeous.

Entretanto, eu sinto que essa história foi feita pensando na mídia de jogos, e que não teria nem de longe o impacto que teve se fosse contada por qualquer outra mídia. Pelo contrário, A Raven Monologue só poderia ter sido contado do jeito que foi, através de um jogo, e por isso, que ele é não só uma excelente história, mas como um excelente jogo.

这个游戏让我联想到一个场景：如果世界上只剩下最后一个人类，会是怎样的情形？
人类的语言曾经太复杂，而作为最后的幸存者，他既无法重新创造语言，也没有真正的交流对象，于是只剩下沉默。
在他的心中，这份沉默的语言是蓝色的，就像天空笼罩着整个世界。
忽然，一只可爱的狗走到他的门前，赠与了一声“汪”。人类立刻学习模仿这种声音，仿佛拥有了宝物，一种可交流的语言。于是，他走出家门，尝试与更多存在沟通。
他遇见一只猫，迫不及待地说出“汪”，但得到的回应却是陌生的“喵”。人类依然兴致勃勃，立刻把这种语调也纳入自己的语言库。
继续前行，他碰到一只鸭子，人类说出“汪”，“喵”，回答他的依然是全新的语言“嘎”。于是，他继续着对语言的学习。
在模仿这些声音的同时，他为每种语言赋予了颜色。他以为这样可以让自己更接近理解，可事实上，他并不真正明白“汪”“喵”“嘎”的含义。他只是渴望沟通，渴望建立联系。
直到最后，他遇到一只乌龟。他倾尽所学逐一诉说，希望得到回应，等来的却只有乌龟静静的注视，这是一段无声的交流。他能听到的，只有风声。
那一刻，他忽然意识到：原来连自己唯一拥有的“沉默”，也有无数种含义。它无法被完全理解，更无法真正用来沟通。于是他自问：沉默真的是蓝色的吗？什么才是蓝色呢？
但他仍不愿放弃。为了证明他对语言颜色的理解是正确的，他对鸭子说“嘎”、对猫说“喵”、对狗说“汪”，一遍又一遍，却始终得不到回应。看来他做不到理解，只是在不断重复。
最后，他回到了自己黑白色的沉默之中。
这让我思考一个问题：高维度的生命是否会更加孤独？
如果宇宙的整体信息总量是有限的，那么越高维的存在将越受限越稀缺
相较之下，低维度的生命虽然脆弱，却创造了一个拥挤而温暖的世界，这里充斥着触碰、交流、毁灭与重建。但对于高维度生命而言，这种“温暖”只能通过想象来体验。
就像《Look Outside》中的古神形象[spoiler] ：他没有恶意，只想与我们交流。却由于存在的尺度不同，他的观察就已经是压倒性的，因此得到的没有交流只有毁灭。 [/spoiler]就像这个游戏中的乌鸦形象页可以解读为瘟疫，同样是一种毁灭

"A Raven Monologue" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this "art experience".
Instead of being a game, "A Raven Monologue" is a Youtube video. Yep, it's a picture book basically, a short sequence of scenes non-verbally relating a rather nonsensical story about a bird. The mediocre hand drawn art may be seen at best as charming, but that's also besides the point as this isn't a game. And that's a real problem, because we're in the "Games" section of Steam.
We get this non-game shovelware on Steam whenever your usual Starbucks barista/McDonalds frycook art school dropout finally gets a restraining order from the local art galleries so turns to Steam Direct to try get their art published somewhere so they can finally dream of moving out of their parents basement.
It's true that games can be art... art is where the pinnacles of craftsmanship and quality meet vision and narrative to create an experience far greater than the sum of the parts. This isn't a game at all, and the craftsmanship and narrative are terrible. This isn't making art better, it's just making gaming worse.
For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game.
Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop.
There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played".
This has misleadingly been launched in the "Games" section of Steam instead of the "Software" section. This is a common mistake for developers who are new to Steam, or don't understand the difference between games and software which isn't a game. It seems this software published incorrectly as a game is simply lack of experience/knowledge of the correct process.

It's unfortunate this process was not known about/followed, resulting in a non-game "art experience" being published in the wrong place.
Publishing things which aren't games on Steam in the Games section as games is misleading to gamers and somewhat harmful, because it pollutes the Steam marketplace and takes away visibility and market exposure for genuine game developers who do the right thing and make games for gamers.
There are no gameplay loops in this rejected art school dropout exhibition, no "gameplay", no meaningful game like interaction. As such, this has no merit as a video game for gamers, and so I cannot recommend this non-game as a game to gamers.

It's not quite a game, but more of a story. It's fairly short and kinda melancholic, though I'm not sure if this is the right medium for it.
主人公乌鸦先生，其设计语言让人联想到了中世纪黑死病时的医生，那时的愚昧让医生穿上了象征防御的鸦嘴医生防护服，美好与希望都拒之门外，只留下绝望的黑白，天不助自弃者，自己不前进的话就只能自我囚禁。BGM叫自私，歌里歌外却充满了理解和悲悯，这种后来者看前人的悲剧，很推荐去了解一下当时的历史。

there's no dialogues at all in the entire run, but the story can be interpret in many ways I believe!! yeaa for me it's like a 5 mins-ish experience then tbh it ended just like that. andddd, plus point cuz you get a lovely BGM to accompany your experience alongside the sketchbook style arts. there aren't that much to it, but ig it was alright for the price of free. the game really takes storytelling by art instead of words.

É basicamente um monólogo do Corvo sobre suas relações com algumas pessoas da cidadezinha. No fim, ele acaba ficando só — apenas com flores e pedras ao redor, vazias, silenciosas, que não reagem. Isso me fez pensar sobre os relacionamentos, os presentes que recebemos e os momentos que vivemos (ou deixamos passar).

This game literally left me just saying different variations of "aw" at every slide. Starts out heartwarming... but after finishing it I was just silent, with a weird sense of dread and sorrow. Really beautiful, both just overall visually as well as the story and meaning.

Хоча вона досить коротка, розробники пояснюють це тим, що проєкт був експериментальним, своєрідним пробником. Найперше, що мене вразило — це висока якість мальовки, яка справді заслуговує уваги. Хоч у грі лише одна музична композиція, вона напрочуд меланхолійна і чудово доповнює атмосферу. Сюжет не розкриватиму, оскільки розробники залишили його відкритим для вільної інтерпретації, тож рекомендую просто зіграти самостійно.

有点难评啊……是不是游戏分类里应该给这种类型的作品提供一个单独的可以区分的标签用于展示和筛选比较合理。带着玩游戏的心情点进来却被人拉着手硬说了几句话的感觉，跟期待落差太大了。不给差评一是免费“游戏”惯例不给差评，二是音乐和美术值得尊重。至于故事……我真的不喜欢这种故弄玄虚硬凹格调的流水账故事，这个题材免不了会踩在像我这样的玩家的雷区里。如果它真的是一个游戏，那剧情不会被过多的评价，互动性和艺术性会占据更多的比例。很遗憾它不是。我有强烈的缺斤短两上当受骗的感觉，这种感觉放在一个“游戏”上是很糟糕的。
