Es ist ein kleines aber feines Indigame ohne große Story oder vielen Elementen. Aber es hat irgendwie seinen eigenen kleinen Charm und es macht echt Spaß es ist auf seine eigene art Witzig. Man kann sagen man Spiel eine Piraten Kolonie die sich gegen Eingeborene und Imperiale Kolonisten auseinandersetzen muss. Ziel scheint es wohl zu sein einen Großen Schatz zu finden den man mit Zwei Sonnenschlüsseln öffnen kann. Nur bin ich leider nicht soweit gekommen. Wie gesagt für zwischendurch ganz nett und der Preis ist meiner Meinung nach Okay. Wünschenswert wäre noch etwas Hintergrundsmusik aber es ist nicht zwingend nötig.
Básicamente voy a decir que es un mal juego. Podría mejorar mucho pero no lo hace. Recomiendo que no pierdas tiempo jugandolo.
Game simply wont let you progress. Building placement system is so clunky I just simply can't build advanced buildings to find new lands to build
I am very impressed on the amount of gameplay you get for such a small file. it really has no tooltips and you need to look up how to play otherwise you will have a bad time. if you build a boat and settle on land, from what I can tell all your efforts dissolve at that moment into resource. combat is auto resolved which keeps the game simple. there is trade stocking ships to sail for coin or resources.

Начнет раздражать что никаких объяснений сколько требуют платы рабочие и за какой срок, и за какой срок они поставять тот или иной ресурс, ресурсы валяются где попало, нет ни малейшего намека на здание - склад - но видать програмисту невдомек что даже пираты о нем подумают - могу только предположить что програмисту просто лень было это все делать, по типу -А пипл схватает. Далее - раздражает что карта маленькая - все острова мало того что маленькие так и из них попадаются какие то невразумительные кишки. Да вообще можно было много чего написать но время так же жалко тратить на обзор как и програмисту-разработчику было жалко время на написание нормальной программы.
Вообщем если Вы мазохист можете купить эту игру- помучится, Но ИМХО игра не стоит даже тех денег сколько за нее просят.

Продрался через необычное косвенное управление пиратами-дуболомами, которые не всегда понимают с какого конца заходить на корабль, в тонкостях изучил искусство саботажа, знаю что из чего делают и почти понимаю почему у меня нет снабжения между островами, но никак не могу завалить главаря колонистов. Вернее, главарь, это я, а он предводитель наверное, у его ребят есть штыки, а у моих только сабли да упитые рожи.
Вообще ничего не собирался этого узнавать, хотел выйти после первого знакомства и обнаружения отсутствия музыки и прямого управления пиратами. Но как-то втянулся, несмотря на издевательское отношение к игроку игра глубокая по механике, затягивает своими странными, но, в целом, логичными законами и мелкими фишечками, типа пещерок, возможности красть или вручную подтаскивать ресурсы на свои стройки века.
Впереди меня ждёт отстройка собственного замка и набор победоносной армии. Горстка прощелыг с саблями пока на армию не тянет. Йо-хо-хо, ребятки! В отличии от толпы слабаков, забросивших игру в самом начале, я почти продрался к победе! Руби швартовые!

Игра повествует о капитане, рвущемуся к власти и богатству, который приплыл на нецивилизованные острова в поисках сокровищ.

[*] Необычная и редкая система управления юнитами, строительства и производства, где вы не просто какое-то божество наблюдающее сверху, которое телепатически управляет роем своих юнитов, а физическое лицо, которое даёт команды голосом. Тоесть подходишь, говоришь строителю что делать, он это делает. + здания здесь возводятся по механике : померил землю где можно какое здание поставить, делаешь фундамент, ждёшь пока принесут нужные материалы, строишь. Производство здесь как в stronghold. К примеру для того чтобы чеканить золото нужна золотая руда и уголь, чтобы собственно расплавить золото и выплавить в монету.
[*] Вся игра будет происходить на одной большущей карте, которую нам предстоит постепенно исследовать, осваивать и воевать на ней.
[*] Некоторые враги довольно таки умные, а именно те, про которых вы узнаете позже. А вот туземцы если честно очень тупые, но об этом позже.
[*] В добавок ко всему идёт ещё и подземелье в стиле обычного рогалика данжн кравла, где вы лутаете и убегаете от опасных противников.

[*] Туповатые и медлительные враги. Здесь я в основном жалуюсь только на индейцев, потому-что они жутко глупы, и будут штурмовать в основном толькло маленькие острова рядом с вами. Да и вообще они даже если успешно высадятся на вашем острове будут долго тупить перед нападением.
[*] Странная боёвка. Да , я сказал это. Странная боёвка в данжн -кроуле. Заключается же её странность в том, что когда вы скрещиваете мечи с противником, нельзя от него убежать. То есть, если вы там дрались себе спокойно с одним своим противником, то вдруг к вам подбегает ещё один оппонент, а потом ещё один. И всё . Можно писать финит ля комедия и загружаться с последнего сохранения. Это очень часто выводит. К примеру хотите вы уже уходить с поля битвы, так как проигрываете, но тут на вашем пути подвернулся какой-то строитель, из-за которого жирные вражеские юниты вас нагоняют. Безвыходная ситуация. Видимо наш капитан слишком благородный, чтобы отказать своему оппоненту в дуэли и лучше погибнет в битве, чем убежит.
[*] Чересчур сложное подземелье, что делает его ужасно скучным + эта боёвка. В этом подземелье вы вообще никого кроме змей и свиней не убьёте. Соответственно вам приходиться прятаться и не подходить к монстрам ближе чем на 2-3 клетки. Я даже просто ради проверки спустился туда с тяжёлой бронёй и вторым по крутости мечём и всё равно меня убили крокодилы на 2 уровне. При этом нигде кроме этого подземелья вы не сможете достать действительно хорошее снаряжение, потому-что единственное место где куётся оружие это крепость, но делает она только сабли, что является самым слабым оружием ( не считая кулаки ).
[*] Загробная тишина. В игре почти нет звуков. Никаких. Абсолютно. Разве что звуковой эффект нажимания кнопочек в меню, меню команд и после загрузки сохранения. Ладно что нет музыки, боженька с ней, её и из вк можно поставить, но вот звуковых эффектов в игре крайне нехватает. Игра просто чувствуется мёртвой, да ещё и с такой лаконичной анимацией + ещё и то , что здесь самому приходится учиться механикам игры наблюдая за происходящим.

Хочу сказать что игра делалась, как я понял, одним человеком, да ещё и на собственном движке. Такие проэкты достойны как минимум уважения к мастерству и трудолюбию автора, ибо сшить воедино такой большой мир с сложной механикой одному ну просто требуют космических усилий. Увы как конечный продукт он пустоват и как-то после прохождения каких-то особых запоминающихся моментов не находится. Но всё-же я получил удовольствие от того что я потратил на неё своё время и не сожалел о потраченных деньгах ( Конечно, покупал ведь по скидке. Лицемер ...) Конечная оценка (если бы я был обзорщиком из Stop Game) "похвально" . Игра точно не для каждого и не для любителей быстрой игры. Однако если у вас есть 160 рублей, настоятельно рекомендую хотя бы просто поддержать разработчика.
Иии помните ! Всегда стройте верфь, когда колонизируете новые острова.
Игра нечто непонятное. Напоминает раннюю серию игр Settlers, но с сильно непонятым геймплеем и даже усложненным. Хоть и в самом начале автор предупреждает что в игре нет Туториала, но это не повод вот так преподносить игру покупателям. Интерфейс должен быть хоть чуть, чуть интуитивно понятен. А тут только чтоб разобраться что куда уходит уйму времени. А когда вроде немного понял как играть выясняешь что и ресурсы имеют свойство кончатся в неподходящий момент, монеты в игре это самый главный ресурс и без него рабочие не работают. И любая ошибка в первые 2 минуты игры, через 2-3 часа выльется и в проигрыш. Трудно охарактеризовать нравится ли она мне, очень смешанные чувства. Автору стоит ее доработать, дать хоть какие-то подсказки, люди всё-таки ее купили.

This game is unfinished and the creator has said that he likes it the way it is.
First off a large part of this game is combat: with natives, colonists and wild animals. You need to fight colonists for many reasons, wild animals to get gold and access to islands and natives to win the game. The only problem is that combat is impossible. Colonists, who you have to raid else they attack you later on, will pull you into a fight with a single man, one guy! And then their entire colony comes to kill you with spears, swords, armor. Want to run away? NO RUNNING AWAY COWARD!! As you are forced to click, click, click which is the only impact you have on combat: clicking determing how fast you attack capped by your weapon, you cannot run away, you fists cannot stand up to their weapomns annnnndddddd...... there are about 15 of them for you to fight with your fists. This is incredibly fustrating as a large part of the game's mechanic and your survival is based upon raiding these colonists. While it may be fun to dance with death as you try to do what you can to steal there resources and destroy, maybe one hut.
Dungeons. Dungeons in this game are horribly designed. There are chests with very little loot: the basic resources are all you can expect from the chests you can get to. Other chests are either guarded by wild animals who deal 3x your damage, have 4x your hp and lock you in combat as per the stupid mechanic until the rest of the cave is drawn to your fight.
Oh yeah natives. The one enemy you can actually click on and not die to. They have a really strange time where they do not attack you and then out of the blue they start fighting you. Do not go anywhere near one of their archer towers, of which you can expect 1-3 of on every island that has any resource you want/need. These archer towers will draw you into combat which again YOU CANNOT RUN AWAY. Only this time it is A STATIONARY OBJECT. They also deal either more or less damage than you, its hard to say but what i can say is that they have maybe 5x your hp so good luck fighting one on your own.
Enough about combat.
Early game all you can do is play another game. You can literally press 3 keys, wait maybe 40 secs then press another 3 keys then you need do nothing for the next 5 mins waiting for the 6 keys you pressed to get you resources.
Once you get to exploration you can go off frolicking through the world to find the 1 island that isnt dominated by animals, native archer towers or colonists, you then get stuck on that island for another 5 mins repeating the process all over again. Then once you return home you find that either you men have all destroyed their own houses because they dont have gold or your men are dead and the buildings occupied by colonists.
So if you have read to the end thank you for having the patience to read my rant about another good idea turned into a money grab.
If you are the creator of the game to you I say please put in the great amount of effort I know it must take to fix your game. It would be great if even the little it has at the moment just worked.

I don't get it. Is this game still in alpha? There is no music and little to no sound. No instructions are provided. As much as I like the premise, I saimply cannot give a game in this condition a thumbs up.

木や石、鉱物などの資源を収集しながら、他の入植者や原住民を排除し、コロニーを大きくしていくというタイトル。
基本はリアルタイム性のある4Xだが、ダンジョン探索などの要素もアリ。
プレーヤーが操作できるのはキャプテン1人で、あとのキャラクターは指示に従って勝手に動き回る仕様となっている。
シンプルな見かけに反して、なかなかに骨太の難易度となっており、油断すると即死亡。
資源マネジメントも非常にシビアで、建設の順番を間違えるとコロニー全滅の憂き目にあうことも。
また、ゲームの進行上必要な説明がほとんどないこともあり、なかなかに厳しい。
フルプライスの価値を期待するとがっかりするかもしれないが、セールで買ってちょっと遊ぶ分には十分に引きあうか。
Controls are extremely clunky, movement is not fluid, and there is barely any sound in-game. I'm thinking that there is a cool concept behind all that, but it's hidden under too many frustrating things to be able to enjoy.

It's simple. The UI is a bit unforgiving at first (it took me a bit to realize that buildings spawn workers which also spawn resources; many games make you work for each of those things individually, so I was slow to catch on). But once it "clicks" for you, which doesn't take too long, you'll be hard at work. And the "violently running headlong into crocodiles" to kill them before they eat your workers" thing doesn't get old. Especially when you can sell their skins for iron ore. Which you need for weapons because CRAP HERE COME THE ANGRY NATIVES. Like I said, it's simple, but it doesn't feel totally banal either. Losing a logger to a crocodile's maw hurts, especially when you need them to chop enough wood to build a way off the island.
The whole "pour a cup of coffee and watch your minions carry out your orders" shtick makes for a great angle. It's the perfect game to play in the morning as you wake up: just mentally taxing enough. The pastel color scheme is easy on the eyes too (though, on the flip side, I've heard some say they're not crazy about the graphics - to each his own, I guess).
Honestly, I paid a dollar for this thing. If it hadn't been so cheap, I might not have tried it. But now I have, I would definitely pay more. So long as it stays under $10, and updates come regularly, this can grow into a fun little hobby. It's no Dwarf Fortress, Gnormoria, etc etc etc. But as a relaxing management sim, it scratches just enough of the right itch.

OK, I’m genuinely confused here. I bought this game because negative reviews made it look like the game is extremely underrated, but guess what? It isn’t. But I can’t say that the original idea is bad. And that’s why I’m confused. To understand what the [b]Way of Gold and Steel[/b] is, you should be old enough to remember how it was about computer games in the late [b]80s[/b] and early [b]90s[/b]. Those were crazy times, when just a bunch of people was able to make a cool game. Remember [b]King’s Bounty[/b]? The game, that started one of the biggest turn-based franchises ever made, [b]Heroes of Might & Magic[/b]? Remember how many people made it? Two programmers and three people, who worped on graphics. And that was it - the legend was born. Realistic graphics didn’t kill the gaming yet back then and people didn’t need expensive machines to make something that will look cool for everybody. Nowadays, there are cool-looking [b]AAA[/b] projects and those poor-looking indie ones. Back in the days it was possible for indie games to look cool too. Thanks to that there were also some interesting fan-made games back then that looked almost like their commercial counterparts. Like [b]Ukraininan[/b] guy [b]Sergey Prokofiev[/b] made an unofficial sequel to [b]King’s Bounty[/b]. It was left unfinished, but it was pretty cool for one-man project. Why am I telling you all that? Because that’s exactly what the [b]Way of Gold and Steel[/b] is - a one-man project. It’s made by a [b]Russian[/b] guy from [b]Moscow[/b], whose name is also [b]Sergey[/b], [b]Sergey Bobrov[/b]. It may sound very interesting for old school gamers, since one-man projects are often unique, but the problem here is - the game feels like it was made in early [b]90s[/b]. And it isn’t a good thing.
I mean, yes, all of us can enjoy some retro. But the [b]Way of Gold and Steel[/b] is [i]not[/i] a retro. It's [i]dated[/i]. Even though it was made not so long ago, it feels like an old game. Like its maker used to live in a bunker for many years. Retro is a one thing, but [b]Sergey[/b] just ignored everything that can be improved and made his game to feel dated instead of giving players a nice retro feeling. For example, all of us enjoy [b]Dune 2[/b], but nobody will want the genre to willingly jump back to the uncomfortable [b]UI[/b] after [b]Command & Conquer[/b] showed how cool things can be. Same thing here - interface is a pain in the neck with no proper reason. But enough about that, let’s talk about the game itself.
The [b]Way of Gold and Steel[/b] is some sort of mix between strategy and roguelike. Remember the [b]German[/b] clone of the famous [b]Settlers[/b] called [b]Knights & Merchants[/b]? Check it out in [b]Steam[/b] if you don’t. It was an [b]RTS[/b] about the kingdom at war, where you were supposed to build yourself a village to support your army. You were supposed to build mines and vegetable gardens, plant trees and do other stuff to keep things going and produce the goods. Like you were supposed to plant the tree first and let it grow before your woodcutter was able to cut it and deliver it to the other villagers to produce some other stuff from it. Same thing here. You build the huts for various workers and make them producing things to keep your incomes going. Only all that is in roguelike-like mode now. Sounds pretty nice again and it somewhat is, but only before you understand how dull and repetitive the whole thing is. You build the lumberjack’s and forester’s huts to be able to cut and plant trees, you build some mines, you build the shipyard to be able to travel to the next island, you move and repeat the process. The end.
The only goal of the game is to collect two special coins by killing everybody in the world. The whole game is just a single map. Imagine what would happen if [b]Sid Meier[/b] was seriously hit to his head before he started working on his famous [b]Civilization[/b] and that’ll be it. There are no researches, there are no quests, there are no special goals, or something like that. You just build stuff to get more resources and expand. There are enemies though, but even that feels wrong.
First of all, the game is random. [i]Way too random.[/i] You may be invaded by a huge enemy fleet during the first few minutes. [i]or[/i] you may play for hours and see no enemies, while the battles themselves feel absolutely terrible, since enemies have no [b]AI[/b] and just keep running across the map. [b]UI[/b], as I’ve already said, is a royal pain in a neck too. Also, even though you’re playing as a captain of the pirates crew and supposed to give your guys the orders directly (you can’t even do that from far away, or they won’t be able to hear you), you can’t level up. No level ups, no skills, no even proper equipment screen. You can equip weapons and some basic armor, but you just add them to your inventory and select “equip”. There can’t be anything more dull. There are some dungeons, but you’ll die from boredom long before you’ll even get to them and those are nothing in comparison with proper roguelikes.
Finally, the game looks pretty poor. You may think that it’s some sort of cool retro style, judging by screenshots, but no, it’s just a poor graphics (the whole game is only [b]8mb[/b], by the way). Also, no music, no sound (no even [b]PC speaker[/b], lol), no customization at all (which is must for any roguelike), nothing. It’s just that - a single map with some enemies on it and you, who’re supposed to build things and get resources. Just to be able to build even more things. Imagine [b]Civilization[/b] without researches and city management. Imagine [b]Pirates![/b] without being able to interact with the cities and without interesting sea battles. Imagine [b]King’s Bounty[/b] without quests and hidden treasures… That’s exactly what we have here. An extremely uncomfortable routine without anything special in it. The game feels unfinished. Like [b]King’s Bounty 2[/b]. With some more time in development, it’ll have a small chance. As is, it gives me a strange feeling that I traveled back in time and played some poor game from late [b]80s[/b] / early [b]90s[/b].
In other words, if you want some old school, buy yourself some true classics. Like [b]Pirates![/b]. But don’t pay for this, because it’s literally not worth your time. It may be OK for somebody’s school project, but why should we pay for it - that’s the question.

It's very vague, which turns off a lot of players, and it almost turned me away. I realised the game wants you to learn it yourself with very little hand-holding, and I learned the mechanics over time. It's a surprisingly fun and challenging game as a result, though not for everyone - if you're a fan of rogue-likes and RTS (and if you're patient) then this game is great for you.

Although the game looks interesting in the beginning, it's just too primitive and barebones to be considered enjoyable. And I am not talking about the graphics, graphics are actually adequate, as far as indie games like Dominions go.
I am talking about the gameplay. Very simple chain of production, no flexibility in case something goes wrong (no space for shipyard?). You can't even decide whether to attack or parley with the other entities - they either sort of ignore each other, or start killing each other, without clearly defined or communicated reasons.
The feedback about the ongoing events is lacking, the detail of the simulation is lacking, the ability of the game to create interesting emergent stories is also lacking.
Dwarf fortress is fun because it creates characters with tons of details that seem unique and memorable. NPCs in this game just resemble ants - by behavior, appearance, and interactivity.
Some may like the game, but I have found few reasons to play it.

일단 시작하면.. "vigilance is important. the game has no hints of explanations, you will understand what is happening only by watching surrounding life around you." 이런 말과 함께 아무런 튜토리얼도 제공하지 않는데. 정말 제작자한테 돌 던지고 싶습니다.
플레이어의 목적은 -아마도- 원주민들이 지키는 2개의 황금 태양을 탈취해 '엉청난 보물'을 찾아야 하는데.. 게임의 배경이 되는 군도에는 매우 많은 원주민들과 야생동물, 그리고 타국의 식민지(AI)가 존재합니다.
타국의 식민지는 넓은 땅. 많은 자원, 즉 금수저를 물고 시작하는데 플레이어의 스타팅 지점은 스타크래프트의 밀리맵인 헌터를 1:7로 11시에 갇혀서 출발하는 것과 같은 수준입니다.

자신의 섬에는 자원이 부족하니 다른 섬으로 가봐야겠군요~ 조선소를 지으려면 돌이 필요합니다.
그렇게 석공의 집을 3배속 키고 건설. 조선소에는 많은 자원이 들어가니 아무것도 안하고 기다리고 있어야 겠네요!

조선소가 완성되었으니 다른 섬으로 떠나봅시다! 두근거리는 개척시대가 열리나요?
그런 플레이어를 기다리는건 엉청난 테크를 자랑하는 타국의 식민지와 사방에 깔려있는 수많은 원주민들입니다.
일단 금속 테크를 올려야하니... 철이 있는 섬을 찾아 텐트부터 작업장까지 테크를 다시 올려야 합니다.
Q. 배타면서 자원을 옮겨다니면 편하지 않나요~? / A. 다른 섬에서 테크를 올리려면 배를 파괴해야 자원과 선원들이 생깁니다.
이 과정 도중 적이 와서 늦춰질 수도 있고. 9할은 이미 식민지가 점령하고 있는 상태입니다.
철 말고도, 게임 제목이 애초에 'Way of Gold and Steel' 이니 금도 존재하는데. 이 금을 제대로 사용하려면, 금광과 목탄 제작소와 조폐국이 필요함. 조선소보다 더 많은 재료를 요구. '너 지금 나랑 장난해?' 라는 소리가 절로 나옵니다.
거기다 한동안 업뎃도 안하다가 세일에 맞춰서 트레이딩 카드만 출시.
정말 게임 할 의욕이 안 생깁니다.. 파고 들면 뭐 파고들 요소가 조금은 있겠지만 말이죠.
There are definitely some things wrong with this game. But the main question is...is it fun and worth the money (for me $3.14)? Yes.
You start out on a small island and must manage whatever resources you start with in order to expand onto other islands. Your starting island never has all the resources you need. After a couple hours, you could have a pretty big civilization going, but there's a big difficulty curve after your second island. It's pretty hard to manage resources between two islands and if you don't do things perfectly, you might as well start a new game...again and again. I got to a point where I actually managed to build a fortress, but I didn't have an iron mine going because my second island was too close to a big colonist island. The colonists would constantly try to settle on my island and destroy buildings and people. Make sure to explore the whole map after you get your first ship and choose wisely where you place your second settlement.
Pros:
- Good fun if you're into city/base building games
- Great, simple game mechanics that evolve as your base improves
Cons:
- No music or audio at all...it's bizarrely quiet
- A lot of trial and error learning and game restarting
- Very odd controls and game settings ('Enter' speeds up time, 'i' loots stuff, 'e' enters caves, just odd...)
- It feels and looks pretty unfinished.
Wishlist:
- I really wish there was a way to customize your own world or modify how worlds are generated. Instead of easy or hard difficulties, by modifying your starting island, you can make it much easier or more difficult for yourself
Definately not for me.
If you like the feeling from back in the 90's when a ton of games were made that weren't really very user friendly, where the main feature of the game was figuring out how the game worked, then this is for you. Compared to 90's games, this one is bad. I would rather get my old floppy disks out and play some of my old games.
Game could be fun. If it wasnt so danm clunky and if the developer gave it a lot more polish. But right now this just seems like an school project.

Looking at other reviews for this game, it seemed like those who didn't like it hadn't really given it the chance. I bought it on sale, and now 3.5 hours in I think I'm done, unless there's a serious update. The reviewer who really sold the game to me was the one that said this game wasn't about conquest, but exploration. Unfortunately, I spent more of my playtime trying to "explore" how to do anything. Others had mentioned it was a bit clunky, but it was more frustrating than I expected.
You start out on an island, procedurally generated like most roguelikes. You get a tent of workers and need to get them building. Your first option is to build a lumberjack's hut. Go grab yourself a snack, it's gonna take a bit. Once that's done, several new options will open up, but none of them matter except the forester, cause you've already chopped down half the trees on your island. Next you need a shipyard, because you're running out of gold, and it'll take a gold mine AND a mint to start producing your own coins to pay your men, and the last game your guys wouldn't even build the mint (why? good question, and I don't have an answer, cause every time I've used the building placement checker thing, it showed placing options for every building but it.)
You get a free ship with the shipyard, but you'll need a 2nd if you want to colonize another island AND don't want to abandon everyone and everything you've worked for on your first.
I experienced all of that through several restarts in the 3.5 hours I played. I never went into the underground dungeon, and never got any iron or anything that can be built with it, therefore I never got awesome armor/weapons to take on bigger/more enemies, I could definitely reach that point in another 3.5 hours, but I really don't know if I will. There's a real gem of a game in here somewhere, but it needs just a little more of both clarity and complexity.
Is cute that they wanted to add mystery and challenge to the game. But . . . most of the time you don't even know what your people are doing. You can't control resource allocation so the bloody gold mine shuts down cause someone stole the gold so it leads to a paradox situation. If I gonna play a game of anarchy and watch people defy your instructions / not listen to you, I would go play with my niece
Zanim kupicie, ogladnijcie sobie lepiej zalaczony film. Ja tego nie zrobilem i zaluje, bo myslalem ze bedzie to cos dla mnie ;).
Я рекомендую эту игру, но конечно лишь тем, кто может её оценить. Рад, что творения sb3d появились в стиме.
Что касается самой игры, то должен предупредить тех, кто решился в неё поиграть: не ждите стандартного геймплэя ни от этой игры, ни от стальных игр данного разработчика. Тут нет обучения, нет менюшек, советников, автоматики и тому подобного. Придется включать интуицию и внимательность.

Всё время игры и особенно первые часов десять, вы будете мысленно возвращаться к проблеме нехватки территории. Вначале это кажется очень сильной недоработкой и искусственным, "натянутым" ограничением, на деле всё оказывается иначе. Это самый настоящий ZPG (Zero Playing Game) Tetris, вы можете только примерно учитывать место и порядок строительства и тут начинается самое интересное. Все постройки имеют свои сигнатуры и занимают определенное место, которого не хватает, их поочередное расположение а то и снос и возведение заново. Фактически это собирание мозаики и тот же тетрис только растянутый во времени и с возможностью замещать фигуры новыми. Нечто подобное можно встретить и в других стратегиях, но именно тут это представлено в самом понятном и доступном формате. Тем более это неотъемлемый элемент геймплея, игра весьма размеренна даже при функции ускорения времени, поэтому такой своеобразный "тетрис" с постоянной перепланировкой становиться интересным. Возможно автором подобный ход не учитывался и получилась совершенно спонтанно, интересный игровой миниконцепт. Игру конечно он не спасает, но тем кто его обнаружит и опробует, может открыть новый игровой опыт ;).

[i]Casual[/i] - проходите мимо, тяжело, скучно непонятно, управление ужасно непривычно, большая вероятность никогда не пройти игру. Отсутствие обучения расстроит вас больше чем осознание проблем общества.
[i]Normal[/i] - неплохая попытка опробовать нечто новое, открыть для себя жанр Roguelike, но лучше поискать более дружелюбные и динамичные варианты казуальной направленности. Бросьте вызов низкой реиграбельности! Познайте силу собственного воображения!
[i]Hardcore[/i] - вы не по наслышке знакомы с жанром Рогалика, возможно играли в предыдущие игры автора (они к слову, более целостные и интересные). Неплохое испытание способностей выдержки и толика нового игрового опыта ждут вас.

Сначала испугала графика и роглайк(особо ничего не порадовало), но это стратегия. Цена приемлемая. Подумал: Беру!
Сначала я не воткнул что и куда. Да и ночь была глубокая. Но вызов принят. На следующий день дошел до карблей и фармил аборигенов как маньяк.
Позже я наткнулся на развитый город и 2 колонии колонистов и при***ел...
Быстро взял все в руки и начал усилено развиваться. Железо выплавил и думал как делать мечи...
Но наслаждался я недолго...ибо нефига было так долго развиваться!
Пришли дядьки на черных кораблях с огромными дрынами и объяснили что: "Браток ты чёт попутал. Есть чЁ?"
Итог жестокое изнасилование 3х моих колоний.
9 из 10 дрынов в моей ж*пе.
После я начал заново. Быстро сварганил корабли. Пришел к колонистам и начал отжимать все что могу. Щемиться от гвардов, мочить рабочих и воровать все что к полу не прикручено(да и то отвертка решала).
Позже преследовал и грабил корабли для создания колонии новой. Это шик просто! Они воюют с крокодилдо, а я тырю все что они притащили для новой колонии.
На другом острове тупо сломал в наглую верфь и забрал все золото.
Получил массу удовольствия доведя врага до истерики и потом до меланхоличного добывания камня на основном острове. Путуем разрыва шаблона ИИ мы и победили;)
Враг мог меня вынести, ибо замок первым поставил. На это и расчет. Потом я погулял по пещерам и собрал армию и отомстил.
9 отжатых золотых из 10 сфиженных.
Не дотягивает лишь тем что враг глуповат. Разработчику огромный респект!
Автор слишком застрял в 90-ых(возможно в 80-ых) и игнорирует все достижения игровой индустрии последних 20 лет.
В игре нет подсказок, объяснений, ачивментов, даже скриншот нельзя сделать. Если это вас не пугает и вы любите всматриваться в пиксельных человечков и разбираться в не интуитивном гейм дизайне то игра определенно вам понравится.
Моя оценка 7/10.
A nice little apparent hobby project, but even for this price I feel disappointed; none of the elements listed as selling points really work.
Nethack element means random map which doesn't make sense [most of the time], and some random events which you've mostly seen in few hours. This usually consists only of randomly appearing boars or natives which mostly seem to appear out of thin air.
The start of the game is almost literally the same every time and just consists of waiting, mostly. Combine this with the problem above, and the lack of substance just becomes a real problem.
UI is even more clunky and amateurish than in an average indie game and that's sadly saying quite a lot. The settings screen blows my mind, but in a wrong way; you'd need to see it to believe it. The game also hides almost everything from the player which is unacceptable.
It has almost non-existent audio and the few little bumps and bleeps it has would take me under an hour to whip up. Scene is full of starving artists, it's sad that the developer hasn't been ready to take that little extra step to get some decent audio and music.
Sorry, refund for me.

really shallow tech tree. Feels like the developers didn't include a tutorial or informative menus to cover up for the lack of actual content.
Dungeon crawling component seems tacked on... can't take soldiers down there, and nothing necessary in dungeons (able to beat the game without armor).
Very little replayability.
Weird game. Gather ressources and build buildings, like The Settlers, but you move a character like a rogue-like game. Then you sail around, kill locals, trade, or get killed, be carefull to save often, because you have only one life. Then there is a cave, and I didn't played that far till now. No more explications, this game is very weird...

This game is UNBELIEVABLY HARD. If you're the kind of person who likes trial and error, this game is for you. The whole point of the game is to keep exploring your options, expanding from your tiny little island to bigger, more dangerous islands with valuable resources. Of course, you have to manage your resources, or else you have to start all over again. The more you play, the smarter your choices get and you can further explore some more. Later on, you get to the dungeons, but the monsters inside will kick your ass. So more trial and error. I want to keep going with this game, seeing as how I already spent money on it and I want to see endgame items.
I reached the end of the game this evening, after defeating almost everything on the map, pity , thats the end of the game, was a nice little adventure not many bugs, was very playable and can be finished with a little hard work in management and army strength, not going to provide any spoilers, if you explore enough you will figure how to finish the game. But i understand why it was only $7, was worth every penny a fun night dying alot and the second night success, the turn based caves were interesting, however it can only be conquered with clever strategy, some mobs impossible to kill in dungeons (ancient croc) for 300 health and with ancient armor and sabre. And you cant take any beckup with you into the dungeon. Good Luck Adventuring nice little game, pity it wasnt longer cheers:)

Но сама игра еще далека от совершенства. На мой взгляд, ей самое место в разделе Early Access.
Поиграл совсем немного, игра не понравилась, интерфейс не удобный, сама игра по началу не понятная, тебя просто бросают на остров и ты должен сам разобраться, что же тебе делать, а занятся то и нечем, меня высадило на остров 4х4 клетки, по которому я просто бегал в зад вперёд и ждал пока подчинённые пираты достроят лесопилку, после чего я ждал того, как они построят каменоломню и так далее, вообщем порекомендовать эту игру я явно не могу.
This game..... you play as a boss, you give orders, you do nothing in return other then defend when needed to. other then that, you basicly wait on others to get what you need to build the next thing
This game is like a book.
The longer you read, the more details add to the picture.
You start with small island and few buildings.
You expand on a larger island. Build even more buildings. Kill some things. Mine some ores. Burn some enemy buildings.
Then sail around and see even larger world, meet colonists, get your butt kicked, load, get your butt kicked again, load, wipe sweat, load, run away.
Find a cave. Delve in. Get your butt kicked. Load. Avoid enemies, delve even deeper.
Find a chest. Get eaten by bears. Load.
Find another chest full of royal treasure. Equip things. Try to leave the dungeon alive. Get eaten several times.
Now we're cooking!
By the time you reach this, colonists will have weapons and large city. There's a LOT of work and sabotage to do.
Remember to save often!
This is what would happen if you simplified Dwarf Fortress' adventure mode, blended it with Tropico, and then made it take place in Oceania. Beware, bugs are liable to ruin 2 hours of work.

Once you get the hang of it its really fun to play. It gives you time to build up your civilization while at the same time still giving you constant threats and challenges also the dungeons are really tough and challenging. This is the kind of game where to will have to die a couple of times in an area before you figure out what is the best course of action to take. However i wish the ending was a bit different it was kind of sudden and the game becomes unplayable afterwards. I do still recommend this gane its very addictive even with its few flaws like not being able to willingly attack the aboriginals unless provoked and such. 7.5/10 for me.

Awesome old school game!
Я играл в эту игру недолго, но, тем не менее, за полтора часа уже начал в ней что-то понимать. Здесь есть отзывы о непонятности игры, и вот что я скажу - мне это в ней как раз и нравится! Постоянно находишь для себя в игре что-то новое, приходишь к пониманию, что все прошлые разы строил дома не такие и не там, не говоря уже об опыте первой стычки с более-менее серьезным врагом. В этой игре реально интересно получать новый опыт и пытаться использовать его в последующих партиях! Игра сложная и азарт ее одолеть велик, так что стратегия-рогалик удалась на все сто!
Отлично! Настоящий хардкор! Затягивающая атомсфера. Путешествия на корабле и исследование мрачных пещер. Множество возможностей и необычный геймплей, сочетающий в себе стратегию и roguelike. Определенно стоит сыграть в эту игру!
Следил за разработкой некоторое время. Даже удалось поучавствовать в самых ранних тестах. Релизная версия - вааще улет! Честно говоря не ожидал, что игра так подтянется в плане геймплея. Игра для тех, кто привык думать своей головой. Тут не будет надоедливых подсказок, стрелочек указывающих путь и чего то подобного. Главное правило в освоении игры - наблюдательность. Достаточно просто следить за тем, что и как делают твои подопечные, чтобы понять как все работает. Следует также обращать внимание и на поведение других существ. Первые несколько попыток победить врага, скорее всего могут быть неудачными. Но весь потенциал игры начнет раскрываться только тогда, когда уже поиграешь в нее час-два. После того как обустроишь свой первый остров, построишь верфь и спустишь корабль на воду. Тут то и начинается весь кайф. Игроку открывается множество возможностей. Можно приплыть на остров к врагам и устроить им диверсию, красть ресурсы и перехватывать их транспортные корабли с различными материалами. Также плавая по океану, на некоторых островах можно найти пещеры. Эти пещеры, черт возьми я люблю их! Зайдя в них, игра переключается в режим чистого Roguelike (игра при этом автоматически сохранится). Но будьте осторожны, в них вы найдете не только много клевого лута, но и кучу монстров, которые сожрут вас даже глазом не моргнув. Так вот, когда поднимался наверх с полным мешком лута, чуть в штаны не наделал. А поднимался я не через тот ход по которому пришел в пещеру (Да, иногда в пещерах можно найти и отдельные ветки, которые могут вести совершенно к другим островам). Очень жесткое ощущение, когда ты понимаешь что если сейчас сдохнешь, а сдохнешь непременно, потому что ни хп, ни лечилок уже не осталось, а каждый монстр желает (а за частую и делает ) разорвать тебя на куски, то придется проходить все заново, от последнего сохранения. Вот это хардкор! По ощущениям подземелья чем то схожи с Darkest Dungeon, когда ты понимаешь, что за любым из следующих углов тебя ждет смерть. И тут предстоит выбор, быстро сваливать назад, или рискнуть и налутать еще немного... а потом еще немного... а потом валить со всех ног, матеря все подряд и проклиная себя за то, что не свалил из пещеры еще два этажа назад. За то когда выбираешься на поверхность, наступает такое райское облегчение. Не можешь поверить что выбрался из подземелий живым. Вокруг никаких монстров, родной голубой океан, где-то там даже свой родной остров с верными матросами. Садишься на корабль и с безумной улыбкой плывешь домой, потому что трюм у тебя теперь забит ЦАРСКИМ ЛУТОМ! ХА-ХА ЙАРРР!! ;)
И самое приятное, что игра на этом не заканчивается, а только начинается! Так что, если вы считаете себя крутым пиратом и матерым морским волком, вперед! Становитесь на Путь Золота и Стали!
When I saw pictures of this game, I wanted to try it, because I think this idea is great, but when I instaled the game, it made me sad a bit.
Settings menu is stupid. How can I know, what key is key 47? Some functions doesn't work, for example closing inventory, which is funny, because there is no function for opening it. How can I use abilities, when I can't find them anywhere?
While combat there is blood everywhere, like half of my island covered with blood from two guys, you can't aim them through that, you can't even see yourself. When some enemies come on your island you have to wait until they get mad, because you cant attack them before that.
Building of structures is strange... When you tell your workers to build something, they will start reading newspaper and after a minute they'll tell you they can't build it. You can't know what to build, because there is no information about those structures, only the name and how much does it cost, which is useless, so you have to try sometimes what to build until you can make your camp functional. You can't build two buildings of the group at the same time, even if you have enough workers.You can't build two same buildings, so you will run out of resourses quite soon
Your peasants come of nowhere, when you build something there appear someone in the tent and start working. Your character moves extremely fast, like over whole island per 0,1 sec. There is no tutorial, so you are only confused of the game...
This game can be good, but now it's bugy and nothing makes sense...
[THIS IS MY OPINION AS SOMEONE WHO HASN'T PLAYED MUCH IN THIS GAME GENRE]

First of all, this game be improved upon, because i think this game has a lot of missing features that needs to be fixed to make gameplay, more playable. But, the game has great potential and I hope these issues will be fixed. When they have been, I know this game will be great.
I currently have given the game a bad review but also given it a positive-mark. That is because I don't want people to think this is a bad game like those "Early-Access, will fix it after ppl buy" cashgrab-like games. This game is GOOD. When other people write reviews for this game aswell, i will be changing the review mark to negative again, until the developer fixes some of these issues and makes the game more playable, which, then I will be giving this game a positive review and I will be removing this negative review.
The game is nice, it is really a change from them FPS shooters, and the 8-bit graphics is awesome. It plays out nice, and some basic features are added, like zooming, increasing play speed, pausing etc. It's thought out well, but even these features have some parts missing. Increasing speed only has one setting, and that is 3 times faster than usual. This feature bugs out sometimes and no difference in speed occurs.
The movement in the game is nice. That is, you play as the captain of your crew and you move around engaging with certain stuff. But, that feature bugs out aswell. Sometimes while moving, your character will just stop moving and glitch out in a certain building. When you try to move him to another direction, he will only move 1 STEP AT A TIME. This needs to be fixed too.
Building stuff is really hard. When you want to build a building, you only get the name of your building, and the cost. There is no information about what it does, and how much resource it will cost (like workers who need gold). Your only chance is the name it has, and that isn't that helpful either. When you can't build on a certain spot, your builder guy will find the best spot for this build. If there is nowhere available for it, the build will be cancelled. Rather than cancelling, I suggest that your builder guy would scope out the entire island you are in, and look if certain structures are built on the grounds that have the requirements of your wanted build. This would be much more helpful than cancelling the build right away, at least he should ask.
Combat. Combat is really difficult to accomplish. When somebody is engaged, the game creates blood sprites on the ground. This would be much trouble normally, but these blood sprites cover EVERYWHERE. While fighting, I couldn't see my character, or the enemy. This needs to be removed, or the blood should be reduced, or defense in this game would be so difficult. I haven't done much combat, but I can assure you that it is too difficult right now.
Overall, the cost of building structures, and the working cost of pirates are way too high for starting off. It isn't impossible, but while grinding those resources, I got constantly attacked and I had to destroy some structures to build the new one I wanted. I kept losing my men. This can be balanced by reducing the overall cost of buildings, or giving players more resources when they start. Or being able to dismantle and loot ships of people who attacked you might also be a good idea.
Also, there is no tutorial. None. You get a random text popup at the start of the game, and nothing else. Nothing is explained. You're expected to know everything off the start. I saw the game and immediately wanted to play, so I bought it, installed it, and booted it up. When I got into a game, I wasn't asked If I wanted a tutorial.
The settings menu also needs a lot of explanation. A LOT.
To sum up, this game requires you to be experienced with this type of game. It is incomplete, and needs to be fixed. The fighting mechanic is bad, the building system requires much more than point and build. There is very limited resources, considering you spawn randomly on some islands which are so small, you can only fit like 3-4 buildings before you run out of space, which you need a LOT MORE. Nothing is explained in the game, which is essential in a game like this.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AT THIS STATE. IT IS INCOMPLETE, AND NEEDS MUCH FIXING.
