This is quite unfortunate because I very much looked forward to release of this game.

But I'll start with what I quite like with The story though not a master piece by any stretch it's even a bit generic is still quite enjoyable, Iden in perticular the man with the Banner is a cool character really likeable and charismatic, the world of AoS feels a bit more tangible the Nigthaunt a faction that I actually play on the table top seeing them animated move and interact is really cool and details like the fact they have two version of the Stormcats Liberators prior to their actual release it of their updated models is quite nice.

Unfortunatley that's where all the good ends.
The first negative I can instantly think off is the Tzeentch sorceror "champion" for the little time I got to experience them immedietly made me want to erase them from exsistence.

Gameplay by far is the big problem... for one this rock, paper. scisors idea they've got going on in this game... Yeah nah if I send a unit of arial assault hammer wielding heavily armoured lads against an single balista with one crew with the element of surprise and then the winged hammer boys ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loose that engagement... We have a problem and this has cause almost inumerable moments of utter frustration units that aught to defeat some units get utterly trounced them all because of this system.
Furthermore unit movement feels TORTUROUSLY slow and when they're locked in mele they are TRULY and UTTERLY LOCKED unless you select the retreat button and combine that to the fact that ranged units are window lickers that don't even have the initiative to alter their own field of fire when enemies are STANDING RIGHT! NEXT! TO! THEM!!! To even begin describing how utterly FRUSTRATING! these things were to deal with cannot be quantified it is just not fun at all to deal with.

I got as far as chapter 7 where you have to control Sigrund by her self... I though maybe it was a bit of skill issue involved so I started the campaign from the begining again... and yet again chapter 7 became the filter point so I called it there... and that sucks PERIOD. The gameplay THE point of this game is THE thing you have to slough through to experience the story that in itself was not too enthralling to begin with *sigh* it's just disapointing, you'd be better off experiencing the story via a YouTube edit.

There are other smaller things like how oddly limiting playing tzeentch is like you'd expect to have other ways of upgrading units like the Cultists or Tzarngors to make them more useful and yet they have NO upgrades... Huh?! No equiping a banner, musicians, shields or duel wielding weapons? Those units feel almost like fodder at best.

It is truly dissapointing to say that this game failed I genuily wanted this game to succeed however there were design descisions that can only be described as utterly baffling.
