In Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, players will venture through a story set long ago in a world shrouded in mystery, guided by the narrative voice of the Game Master (voiced in English by Todd Haberkorn). Set in a world of swords and sorcery, the game is told entirely through the medium of cards. Players will follow the protagonist as he sets off on a journey to defeat a recently reawakened Dragon, that is threatening the land and its people, in hopes of securing an immense reward. He is joined on his travels by his companions; Mar, a monster very attached to him, and Melanie, a black witch with a grudge against the Dragon. Players will need to make choices throughout the story, as well as join in turn-based field and dungeon battles that unfold on a board, in the manner of traditional tabletop RPGs.

As other reviews have stated, this is a casual jrpg experience. In my opinion the fights are a bit repetitive by the end, like many jrpgs with invisible fights, but not horribly so. You can run from battle if you're weary of it. No reason to grind if you deal with everything while exploring all the map tiles/cards.
The experience is more game than a visual novel with turn-based combat though not by much. The card-flipping as map tiles is just an aesthetic, which I enjoyed as different. Everything else is pretty standard jrpg fare. Level-up, weapons and armor increases, stores, potions, etc.
Oh, and the story is read aloud to you. It's fine, light humor, but you can skip through if you prefer.
Lastly, I got the three games in a bundle on sale, which was worth it in my opinion. I tried a demo and that interested me enough.

There were a ton of mixed reviews but i'm glad i gave it a go because i really enjoyed it. Its not a deck builder like Slay the Spire nor is it particularly challenging. But that's the kind of game i was looking for, something casual to play. As much as i love Slay the Spire, sometimes i get too frustrated with the difficulty and i don't feel that way with this game. The story is interesting enough and i love the overall style of the game. It's kind of like octopath traveler but with cards. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a casual turn based fantasy game.

If you like Square Enix, Yoko Taro, card games, and stylized art, then try the game out. It's pretty fun. At least to me. If there's a demo, try it out but if you don't care for any of those things I listed, then don't spend your money here, and go look for fun elsewhere.

当年在ns上购买的steam上补票，无中文，但是有日文，对我来说没啥。可能很多其它玩家不太友好吧。
怎么说当年很喜欢，我很喜欢卡牌类的或者jrpg的游戏。很喜欢，但是但是但是，剧情又臭又长，玩到后期真的不好玩。不好玩！剧情基本都是意料之中，没啥反转。反转了你也知道是什么反转。
怎么说呢，推荐，但是并不完全推荐！薛定谔的推！
ps：评价完突然想起来续作我也入库了，还没玩。好吧自己花的钱怎么都要咬着牙玩了。

a ver, esto es un juego mas o menos. me gusto pero definitivamente no es lo mejor y realmente no recomiendo jugarlo. Las mecanicas son repetitivas y aburren facil (lo peor es que es corto el juego). Por otra parte la historia esta bien, pero pues es bastante standar y realmente esperaba mas ya que esta el maldito Yoko Taro como director creativo. y lo ultimo que quiero agregar es que no es un juego de cartes es un rpg muuuyyyy tradicional con skin de cartas.
realmente no hay mucha diferencia con los primeros FF solo que si te gusta la trama mas que el gameplay pues este es mejor (porque los primeros FF casi no tienen una historia)

very fun and engaging at first but then the game has you make choices that they then turn into the other choice, like you had no choice at all. and the big end fight the victory is swept away from you at the last second and you instead have a very boring fight your way out under a timer that seems impossible to meet.

This game felt like a hostage situation. Square Enix locked Yoko Taro in cave and forced him to direct with the lowest budget possible.

The overall theme is consistent. The visual presentations and the soundtracks are great. As you progress through the story and meet requirements, you unlock extra information on characters and monsters that adds up to the world-building. However, at certain points it can feel obvious, tedious, and gimmicky.

There is not much to the gameplay department. You fight, level up, get new skills, upgrade your gear, move to a new town. Rinse and repeat. It is truly the most mundane aspect of the game 2-3 acts in. It would have been much more interesting if there are movements or environmental aspects like Final Fantasy tactics or D&D.

For your sanity, please avoid the parlor game (minigame). I swear can write a dissertation on how random and absolutely RIGGED it is. Unless you're going for 100% completion, then good luck.

Overall, it's not a bad game, but I don't think I'd ever recommend it for more than $9, much less it's retail price

20小时全成就，个人认为非常值得一玩，无论是为了美术还是为了这个新颖的体裁。
打完之后有一点淡淡的忧伤，但更多是温馨宁静的感觉。
在我的印象里有主持人的游戏和“宁静”是互斥的，但这个游戏把桌游和rpg结合的恰到好处
主持人陪着我，我陪着主角们，好像在听一个娓娓道来的故事，故事听完了，一段旅程也走完了

比起游戏的内容本身，我喜欢的其实应该是整个游戏营造出的氛围
特别喜欢旁白（日配）的声音，音色和语调都很舒服，听起来就有一种安心的感觉
加上卡牌偏黄的色调，菱格木板桌面，白色的大理石桌子，让我觉得好怀念，
不知道自己在怀念什么，但眼前总是浮现着在被炉里取暖或者坐在壁炉旁边的场景
bgm也恰到好处，尤其喜欢章节动画时的bgm，安宁，神秘，淡淡的忧伤
整个冬天让我觉得最温暖的东西除了热水袋就是这个游戏。。
真的是相当新奇也相当舒适的体验，非常有沉浸感。

剧情文笔很好，文字很优美，但是前期用词上比较性别叙事。。
不知道是不是这类型游戏的特色，能接受但是会有一点点不舒服的程度
（很多地方都有，最无力吐槽的是追求力量的女角色变成了肌肉女后第一反应竟然是以后不能穿婚纱了。。）
虽然大世界观很黑暗但是很多地方都很好笑，玩起来整体观感是很轻松愉悦的，
单纯看故事情节的话中规中矩吧，剧情桥段很王道但氛围上我觉得其实不太热血，感觉更多是温馨向
主要是无论主角配角还是路人，人设都做的很好
叙事节奏真的很舒服，伏笔也都埋的很早，不突兀，整体观感就是非常安稳，
我觉得比起特别出彩的故事，或许现在这样的安稳才是更适合这个游戏的
而且补充文本很多，图鉴很全面，每张卡都有小故事

主角的性格比较鲜明，虽然对话事件等可以进行选择，
但其实不是很自由，选项改变不了什么，大多时候还是会根据人设行事，
并且会把选项内容变成符合主角本身性格的形式表现出来，
甚至很多时候选择只是影响了文字出现的先后顺序，更像是同一件事的不同角度，
主角有着自己牢固的行为逻辑，选项只是把他内心的想法拆开展示给我看
甚至有些时候会出现主角离队，无法使用菜单这种伪meta。
所以是没办法塑造自己心中的主角了，虽然人称是“你”，但并不是玩家与主角合二为一的类型
玩家的角色更像是旁观并聆听，是一位没有出现在故事里的队友。

美术是这个游戏最出众的地方了，立绘的貌美不用说，连路人角色都很好看
好喜欢旅馆老板娘和道具店店员。。
不过不知道是画风问题吗，这游戏好多男的都像女的
比如森之民男，在斗牌场出大字姓名之前我一直以为他是美丽的精灵姐姐。。
好女凝的衣服，因此原谅这个非常性别叙事的文案一秒钟

动画效果做的也真的很好很有质感，
虽然都是卡牌在战斗，但还是根据不同职业和属性差分了很多不一样的动效和特效的，所以战斗场面还是很华丽
（前提是能理解并接受这个游戏是在卡牌的框架下进行表演的）

不过虽然能看出是想尽力在写实桌游的前提下创新做出不同玩法了，但实在是还是受限于体裁
探索和战斗很多地方都做的比较拖沓，尤其是小游戏
其他地方都还能接受，火山实在太烦了！
限定步数的同时要翻卡找路还要打怪，本来就很紧张，几步一个怪更是红温，
很容易失败，失败了只能读档，之前翻过的卡和打怪的经验又不继承，真的很烦。。
但我能想出的缺点也就这一个了，瑕不掩瑜吧

总之对我而言是十分轻松愉悦的体验，能静下心来花几天时间听完这个故事真的太好了

Чудесная и милая игра. Чувствуется стиль Йоко Таро: в истории нпс и монстров периодически присутствует какая-то чернуха или двойное дно, а в конце на тебя вываливают порцию серой морали, где если поступить "правильно", ещё и виноват окажешься. В общем, рекомендую) Проходится быстро, а удовольствия я получила выше крыши.

I feel like I played a different game from everyone else.

I mean, i do agree that the gameplay is bad.

But so is everything else.

I mean, yes, the sound and art are nice but also still clearly lacking. You see the same artwork constantly repeated, and it really isn't so nice that it would be impressive.

The story is about as basic as it can get, and the characters are actively unlikable.

Especially the protagonist, whose main character traits are that he is both selfish as well as pathetic.

Then you just have random side stuff like you helping some hurt woman get her ankle fixed up only to unlock the information that she killed her husband and is now eating him... okay?

Like yeah, it is random, but it feels random without there being a point.

The game is also agonizingly slow due to the card gimmick.

In total you have a game where most parts of it are mediocre at best and straight up bad at worst.

It was a really nice game. Gameplay is pretty standard, it doesn’t really do anything you haven’t seen in other jrpg's before, nothing special but not bad either. The only thing is that the random encounters could have been a bit less frequent.
In the end, the two things that really make the game interesting are its visuals and that Yoko Taro was the creative director. As for Yoko Taro, I see why people say this is his most normal game, but I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing. Maybe it’s because of my expectations, but essentially I got exactly what I expected, a fairly normal JRPG by Yoko Taro.
I also liked the characters and the story. It’s one of the few games where I would actually use the word cozy, because it simply felt cozy to play. You explore the world with your party and go on adventures without it feeling condescending, which is often the case with many so called ''cozy games''.
Next, the visuals. I really like those as well, especially how much they get out of the idea that everything is made of cards. An incredible amount of personality is conveyed through the animations, the way the cards are positioned, and so much more. And I can also respect that it’s a very efficient way to make games, considering how close together the releases of the three games were.
The only thing I didn’t really like were the voice actors, neither in English nor in Japanese, a bit more emotion wouldn’t have hurt. There were moments where I wasn’t entirely sure who was speaking and who wasn’t.
Overall, it’s a very solid RPG that doesn’t overstay its welcome and is great to play in bed. I’ll be playing the sequels very soon.

按顺序玩的，初见演出很新奇，幕间音乐很好听，打完2代后回味1代，剧情多半有点白开水，都是日式rpg中的常见展开，而且充满了先沟通必定无效，一定要先打个两败俱伤才愿意说话/听人说话的奇怪日式rpg风格设定。
道具格子有点少，对囤囤党是极大削弱。
就那样吧，二代打完感觉一代多少有点鸡肋。
除了音乐和立绘确实没有很出彩的地方。

I'd recommend it, but specifically because I play it for Japanese language study. There is narration for most lines and all of the text in the game is on the cards and each card waits for you to click before it progresses, you can take as much time as you want to look up words, phrases, or whatever you need. It's an amazing study guide while also being able to play a decent game.

If this game is your first RPG you might enjoy it however passed the first impression of "It's on cards it's cool" this game is basic as basic can be, it's really easy and will never really challenge you, straightforward to the point of being close to being on rails, the story is pretty boring and the "twist" comes extremely late and is very predictable...when taking a look at the other 2 and seing that this game is considered as the best of the 3 i wouldn't recommend buying the whole set as well...
If you're looking for a really easy rpg to pass some time or want to support Yoko Taro why not otherwise pass as there are some indie RPG that are far more worthy of your money.

给推荐主要是我太喜欢它的美术和音乐了，打折可玩，要剧情有美术，要玩法有音乐。
但是又没难度，体量又小，一周目十小时差不多，加上二周目可能能玩的总时长也不到二十小时，原价真的太不值了，总之喜欢商店展示出来的游戏风格的人等打折吧！

More of a mixed review, the core gampeplay is fun and all the budget went into the art and the music (superb quality there), sadly it gets really repetitive really soon, the enemies and encounters aren't varied enough, and you end up wanting to escape most of the battles, which is counterproductive since the bosses will give you a hard time.

It's a good foundation to build on, but it needs some polishing. The game works perfectly on the Steam Deck, which helped me finish it in short bursts.

I wanted to give it a chance because I generally enjoy these types of games, but I ended up refunding it after just 30 minutes of "gameplay".
From what I played, this game has no RPG elements whatsoever. The character is fixed, the dialogue options feel like they're from a mobile game, and his personality completely clashes with his appearance.

In the first dialogue choices, you're asked to help an old woman by carrying her. If you agree, this useless character can't do it, despite having been carrying a backpack with a monster on the top and a long sword on his back the entire time. Apparently, carrying an old lady is just too much for him. When he fails, he suggests it's better to just leave her there, and his companions end up carrying her while getting angry at him.

I tried to look past that, but literally five minutes later, you bump into the idiots from the demo while walking. No matter which dialogue option you choose, the game forces you to fight them, justifying it by saying your character accidentally grabbed their money pouch during the collision...

I refunded it the second I saw that.

先说结论，不推荐原价购买，较短的流程和贫瘠的游戏内容配不上198的原售价。
游戏整体算是机制比较古老的jrpg，经典的回合制战斗，只不过资源消耗模式换成了卡牌游戏的耗点回费。刚开始玩的时候会感觉有点新颖，但随着战斗次数增多，就显得乏味了，再加上游戏本身内容量偏少和暗雷遇敌机制，最终导致了游戏流程中不得不经历很多重复的战斗，这也是老式jrpg的弊端之一。玩下来的感受就是，正经剧情没看多少，时间都耗费在沿路打怪上了。
还有个小问题，每次重新启动游戏，都要再设置一遍高速模式……

主人公をプレイヤーの分身としてみてしまうと選択肢のことごとくがクズの言動なのでその行動を強制されるとロールプレイどころではなくイライラしてしまい序盤で無理でした

２０時間程度、たぶん半ばまではプレイしたのですが、手を止めました。
雰囲気の有るカードの演出はとても素晴らしいのですが、自由度が低すぎます。

私の想像したTRPGとはかけ離れたものでした。
自分の選択の上でしたら同じシナリオでもカタルシスを感じる事もあるでしょうが
そうではないのでご都合としか感じませんでした。
それならば読書に近いADVにした方がさっぱりした感じがしたと思います。
あと語り部は女性の声優も選択できるようにして欲しかったです。
男性の声優も語りそのものは素晴らしかったですが、女性版もあればもう少し続けられたかもしれません。

A simple and fun RPG told through cards. We can thank Saito Yosuke for this amazing experience as the silliest man alive, Yoko Taro himself, wanted this to be a mobile game 0_0
The cast is quite different when compared to usual parties in fantasy based stories. The main character is not as shallow as it seems and there is a deep story to uncover within the somewhat generic fantasy setting. The music is awesome and the game is just fun to play. Very much worth the investment, a good game!

마스터가 전부 진행 해 주는 TRPG같은 게임이지만
자유도는 전혀 없는 한권의 소설을 보는 듯한 느낌이다.
그렇다고 스토리만 보기에도 rpg답게 전투가 발목을 잡는다.

거기에 한글마저 없어서 추천은 못 함

[h1]Petit jeu charmant mais clairement pas parfait[/h1]

Il faut toutefois préciser que ce n’est pas un jeu de cartes au sens classique du terme. Bien que la direction artistique et le titre le laissent penser, l’aspect “cartes” reste purement esthétique. Le gameplay s’oriente davantage vers un JRPG tour par tour assez traditionnel pour les combats, et un jeu de plateau pour l’exploration. Ce n’est pas un problème en soi, le tout fonctionne bien, mais il vaut mieux le savoir pour éviter les mauvaises attentes.

Le défaut principal du jeu vient sans doute de sa lenteur. Le scénario met du temps à démarrer (je reviendrai sur lui), mais c’est surtout au niveau du gameplay que ça pêche : les déplacements sont lents, les menus peu réactifs, les combats un peu tirés en longueur. Il y a une certaine rigidité dans tout ce que l'on fait, et j’avoue que ça m’avait refroidi au point de mettre le jeu en pause pendant plusieurs mois après mes deux premières heures.

Et pourtant, je le recommande quand même, et je l’ai terminé. Alors comment j’ai dépassé tout ça, et qu’est-ce que le jeu a à offrir ?

Côté combats, c’est sympa, sans être incroyable. Le système fonctionne bien, on peut facilement spécialiser nos personnages ou non, et certains boss de fin de jeu demandent une vraie gestion des ressources. Si le rythme avait été plus dynamique, je pense que j’en aurais gardé un excellent souvenir. On pourra juste regretter un petit manque de folie ou de personnalisation dans les builds, notamment au niveau des équipements qui ne proposeront jamais rien d'autres que des stats de défense supérieurs. Vous n'irez jamais équiper vos personnages différemment qu'avec la dernière pièce d'armure trouvée.

Mais là où le jeu brille vraiment, c’est dans tout le reste. La direction artistique “tout en cartes” est superbe, les chara-design sont accrocheurs, et la musique accompagne très bien l’ambiance. Une fois passée la pénibilité des débuts (à retourner toutes les cartes une par une presque), on prend plaisir à explorer cet univers.

Ce plaisir vient aussi beaucoup des personnages et de l’histoire. C’est, à mon sens, le vrai point fort du jeu. L’ambiance est à la fois profonde et très drôle, avec un anti-héros nonchalant et un narrateur qui multiplie les remarques piquantes. Les personnages sont certes assez archétypaux, mais on s’y attache vite, et leur évolution est agréable à suivre. L’histoire principale n’est pas en reste, avec quelques twists bienvenus et une narration un peu plus poussée que ce à quoi on pourrait s’attendre. Le tout est peut-être un peu affaibli par une “true ending” assez convenue, et des choix illusoires qui servent surtout de prétexte au narrateur pour placer des blagues. Mais ce n’est pas fondamentalement gênant. Comme je le disais, ça met du temps a démarrer mais c'est globalement très bon.

En bref, ce Voice of Cards est un mélange un peu bancal entre un gameplay qui manque de nerf et une proposition artistique et narrative vraiment réussie. Ce n’est pas un jeu à mettre entre toutes les mains : il est lent, trop rigide parfois, mais il tente de proposer une expérience à part. Et c’est exactement pour ça que je l’ai apprécié. Je pense que c’est un excellent compagnon pour des sessions de jeu en transports ou en détente entre deux titres plus nerveux.

Very rich JPRG that scratches the itch if you a card game or a board game enthusiast. Without spoiling, the world building and the narrative of this game is really praiseworthy and you could see Yoko Taro's influence in it. I was not ready for the world to get that dark that quick. Loved the game-master and so forth. As my first turn based game definitely would be something close to my heart.
But if you are wondering if it's worth it? IT IS WORTH YOUR TIME!

键鼠引导有BUG会闪退，手柄不完全适配，不过我是一个不会随便扣初始印象分的宽容玩家内，开篇很王道很符合日式RPG预期，旁白和演出蛮有新鲜感，嗯优点就说到这里，打了不到三个小时就无聊到不行了，战斗0挑战性属性克制和BUFF系统堪称敷衍还三步一遇敌（这个遇敌频率加上演出不能倍速，开图体验像劣化八方旅人），结算难以言喻的粗暴（我最难以接受的地方，卡牌的演出方式不应该是主要卖点吗怎么可以就三张卡片甩我脸上）。没事就锁定地图跳转和存档读取，打不同结局强行拖时长，故事也挺无聊的。。发现自己对横尾的故事实在是欣赏不能。图鉴翻卡的想法很好但是内容充实不起来，黑深残图一乐，而且图鉴藏在菜单里然而UI也太不流畅了、、总之助眠效果好适合午睡前打，不打补丁这可怜的文本量也可以用来复健英语阅读，但我能打完一周目不是因为这些，是因为定价真特么贵史低也贵

J'ai adoré ce jeu. Déjà une grande amoureuse de Nier:Automata et Nier:Replicant, je n'ai pas hésité une seule seconde pour Voice of cards, et je suis encore plus suprise que je ne pensais l'être. Pour celleux qui aiment les jdr et les aventures pleines de de choix c'est le jeu pour vous.

Muy bueno, no tiene una historia muy compleja pero aun así consiguió darle giros al guión que me han pillado por sorpresa y hacerlo interesante con algunas cosas que no te sueles preguntar en la mayoría de los RPGs, la presentación también es preciosa aunque se echa en falta que aprovecharan para ponerle sus propias voces a los personajes al margen del Game Master que es muy bueno pero no es lo mismo. También que fuera algo más rápido.

Los personajes son geniales aunque algunos de ellos deberían haber tenido más desarrollo, quizá en otras rutas lo tengan. La localización, aunque no me impidió disfrutarlo, es al parecer algo horrible(yo lo jugué entero en español sin saber esto y me dio igual, pero para quien quiera saberlo).

El sistema de combate es simple e intuitivo, no hubo muchos combates que me hicieran si quiera usar objetos, es un juego muy fácil, pero la verdad que me dio igual, la historia lo valió. Debo añadir que no es excesivamente larga, tiene múltiples finales(aunque se deciden solo al final, más uno especial) y la posibilidad de jugar con cosas que ya conseguiste si quieres empezar desde el principio.

Boring, formulaic gameplay. Boring, formulaic story. No player agency. Thankfully it is not that long and the high speed mode made it even shorter. I bought the trilogy that included this game while it was on substantial discount. I haven't played the other two games, but this one is not worth playing. Yoko Taro must have used all his juice on Nier because this game's got nothing going on story wise. Newbies go on an adventure that ends up being to save the world in the end. The multiple endings are simply a choice you make after the final boss (except one requires an extra step).

This feels like an RPG Maker Game, that had nearly unlimited budget in the art and music department.

The whole presentation, visuals and music are great.
Sadly visuals and music do not make a great game alone.
The gameplay is so overly simplistic and slow, without any trace of depth, that even the great artistic part of the game just gets old too quickly.

Let's talk about the problems:
This game has all the sins of early 2000s RPG Maker games.
What does this mean?
- Way too frequent Random Encounters pretty much everywhere (even in Boss Areas for some reason)
- Exploration barely gets you anything (there's like 4-5 meaningful gear upgrades that you can find, except for the best weapons, where 60% of them are in the final dungeon)
- One of Mechanics (Torches for dark places, get used a single time)
- Area Design that is only meant to increase the length of the game, by making you take detours
- Everything in this game is either fighting or walking
- Fighting System that could have depth but never gives you tools, nor gets creative with them.
-> We are talking every character getting a high resource high damage attack, elemental attacks are mostly the same, as in cost 2 deal elemental damage of type x. There's just nothing special to them at all. It's basicly just deal damage and if low heal. A simple script could "play" this game.
- Enemy placement of story encounters is... incredibly horrible. The final dungeon legit features 5 fights back to back against the same enemy type. No increase in difficulty or other mechanics. It's legit the same mob 5 times in a row.
- Mandatory Escape Sequence, but given it's grid based movement (on the cards) it's not using time, it's using a turn limit.
-> These Maps are completely empty to walk through with no real urgency, and just spams random encounters at you.

Aside from those there's an overarching problem with the whole game:
it's soooooo slow.
Given the artistic focus that everything is a card, everything is animated and takes ages.
The animations are great to look at per se but if you see them every single time you wanna do something they get old very quickly.
The Game also has incredibly convoluted menus you have to navigate through.
Wanna flee a battle? Press a hotkey (esc on keyboard) then aknowledge you wanna flee then throw dice (even when the attempt is a guaranteed success), aknowledge again and press through 2 sets of text. Only for another encounter after taking a single step (if you are unlucky).

Now given the game advertises with Yoko Taro, what about the story?:
Worldbuilding and characters are great, sometimes the usual crazy as expected.
However the main story is incredibly predictable and lame. Nothing really happens all game until you're at the final boss.
The game is also divided into multiple chapters... each chapter has a small recap cutscene after you beat it. Sounds cool and all... But some of these chapters are like 5 minutes long. And the story in them fits on a single bookpage.
Imagine reading a book and every new page is a new chapter and said chapter spends half it's page recaping the previous page/chapter.

To conclude this review:
Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars has the major flaw of being so mediocre and slow in it's gameplay, that even design, atmosphere and music can't make it work.
This games biggest flaw is simply being boring.
And if a game is boring... don't play it.

De prime abord, un assez bon jeu de cartes japonais de type RPG, à la Final Fantasy, développé par Square Enix. L'idée est originale, et les musiques sont agréables. Cependant, le gameplay et l'histoire sont répétitifs et ennuyeux au possible. Je me suis arrêté à la fin du chapitre III.

Pretty decent game. The story is interesting with colorfull unique characters. The only thing bad about the game is that DM is an Old Man, I don't know why they decided to do it, but you also can turn on japanesse not so old man. The second thing that could be better is how immersion breaking some of his comments are when he says "turn on the map" or just says what to do. Also the game could be quite a lot faster random enemies encounters can become very tediouse after a while when you're just too strong for them.

8/10 - pretty fun oldscool RPG

A game created out of cards, but battles are not card-battles O.o - whaaat? The game got me immediately with its beautiful music! - without the music the game would hardly earn 6/10. In my opinion the narrator also did a pretty good job, so thumbs up!

Pros:
- Beautiful music
- God job narrator :)
- beautiful designed cards
- first few hours are fun

Cons:
- the Game-Parlor card-game is annoying (imo)
- The AI is really bad (throughout the whole game)
- pretty short game (25h are 2 complete playthroughs)
- very linear

As an avid fan of card battler games (and Square Enix), I jumped into this game with my hopes up. The first two hours kept me interested, but I quickly got bored by the tedious combat and lack of variation within the game's enemies and mechanics. Even though the aesthetic and music was pleasing, I got annoyed by the narration (which felt out of place), the one dimensional characters and the horrendous and slow UI. I eventually played until the end, but it was not really worth it and it felt like a drag to finish.

1회차 플레이 시간은 대략 10시간
2회차는 클리어 데이터 계승받고 잡몹전투 스킵하고 스토리만 보는데 5시간 걸림

스토리는 trpg의 정석인 용을 잡으러 이곳저곳 돌아다니는 스토리
맵 디자인들도 파이널판타지나 쯔꾸르게임들에서 봤던 느낌이 드는 디지인으로 친숙했음

아쉬운 점은 크게 3가지 있는데
1 한글패치가 없어서 스토리보는데 귀찮다는 점
2 선형적 스토리라서 나의 선택지를 고르는것은 스토리에 영향이 가지 않는다는 점
3 배속진행이나 스토리 스킵기능이 없어서 게임진행이 매우 느림

시간떼우기로 하기에는 가격도 있고 진행 느려서 속터져서 비추
할인할때 옛날 게임같은 느낌의 요즘게임을 하고 싶을 때 추천

Jeu fini en une douzaine d'heures et platiné en 17, je jeu et très sympa, le système de map en cartes pousse a l'exploration, les cartes sont magnifiques, la musique est sympa et l'histoire est juste géniale.
Le seul petit bémol c'est que le menu a une ergonomie digne d'un vélo sans guidon. Ah oui et le jeu ne fait quasiment jamais de save auto donc si vous perdez un combat vous risquez de revenir très loin en arrière donc pensez a save souvent.

A part ça j'ai passé un super moment et je le recommande chaudement a tout les amateurs de jeux de cartes et de jrpg.

Take note that the Voice of Cards games are not "card" games but instead turn based RPGs with cards.
After having played all 3 Voice of Cards games, the first game is by far the simplest but that doesn't make it bad. Despite telling a fairly simple story and having much simpler gameplay, I would say it is the strongest of the 3. What it lacks is difficulty because for most of the game you can probably play blindfolded without needing to use a single item the entire run.
The only one of the three games with more than one ending to it too.

My overall experience is positive, I have enjoyed the game, enough to play it on two platforms. The story telling is well done.
However it feels like its made for beginners as there isnt a lot of strategy, and the game for the most part is very easy. It also is short by RPG standards. Reminds me of FF mystic quest.
There is a NG+ but it is primitive.

Grundsätzlich mag ich Cardbuild-games nicht sonderlich, aber diese hat mich positiv überrascht als NieR Fan.

Tolle Musik, schöne Grafik und voran getrieben von einer oberflächlichen aber urigen Geschichte.
Das Gameplay ist sehr simple und wenig komplex. Ist was für Anfänger. Mir hat gefallen.
