The Textorcist est un jeu particulièrement charmant disposant d'une esthétique magnifique, d'une musique exceptionnelle et d'un gameplay unique et accrocheur. J'ai été constamment surpris par la qualité du jeu et ce sur tous les niveaux. Le pixel art et le character design sont impeccables, la musique est appropriée et entrainante, l'histoire est absurde et les dialogues et situations m'ont fait rire à plusieurs reprises. Le gameplay est difficile, mais très satisfaisant. Il est facile à saisir, mais difficile à maitriser.
J'ai cependant plusieurs critiques au niveau du gameplay. Tout d'abord, les équipements sont presque totalement inutiles dans le jeu et pourtant auraient constitués une manière parfaite (une fois combiné avec le système de score) de laisser les joueurs choisir leur propre difficulté. Un premier objet est obtenu pour vaincre un boss, un deuxième est obtenu pour vaincre un boss sans perdre de points de vie et un dernier est obtenu pour vaincre un boss sans commettre d'erreurs. L'immense majorité des joueurs ne verront pas les objets autre que celui obtenu pour vaincre un boss, pourtant ce sont ceux disposants des effets les plus intéressants et les plus utiles. Le problème avec ce genre de situation est que si tu as réussi à vaincre un boss sans commettre d'erreurs ou perdre de points de vie, tu n'as habituellement pas besoin d'une pièce d'équipement pour t'aider à triompher. De plus, la moitié des pièces d'équipements offre des malus, mais offre un multiplicateur de score en contrepartie. Le problème est que le score ne permet d'atteindre aucune autre récompense, ces items sont donc totalement inutiles pour la grande majorité des joueurs. De plus, le jeu ne te laisse pas utiliser d'items en mode hardcore ou lors de la DLC, ce qui les rend encore moins utile. Ça aurait été intéressant si obtenir un certain score à chaque boss permettrait d'obtenir ces items, ainsi le score et les mécaniques qui s'y rattache seraient plus importants.
Par après, les boss plus difficiles ont tendance à enchainer d'immenses attaques aux patterns irréguliers et aux projectiles très rapides. Il n'est pas toujours possible d'anticiper la trajectoire de ces projectiles, ce qui force à subir des dégâts encore et encore jusqu'à trouver une stratégie appropriée, ce qui est particulièrement frustrant. Dans ce genre de situation, la bible empêche habituellement de prendre des dégâts, mais ce système n'est pas non plus parfait. Dans environ 50% des cas, après avoir subi des dégâts, la bible va rebondir jusqu'à atterrir au centre d'une zone couverte couverte par un projectile stationnaire ou en plein milieu d'une autre attaque. Ce problème est partiellement réglé par un des équipements, mais encore une fois, il est indisponible pour une bonne partie du jeu. Même lorsque je triomphais de certains boss, j'avais plus l'impression d'abuser de la bible que de véritablement gagner au travers de mes apprentissages ou réflexes.
Mes dernières petites critiques sont que la police d'écriture du jeu rend la lecture parfois très difficile (particulièrement le cas lorsqu'elle devient démoniaque), que la bible cache complètement les attaques en provenance du bas.
Ultimement, c'est un excellent jeu que je recommande fortement malgré ces problèmes.

Ik heb dit spel gekocht tijdens de uitverkoop voor spelletjes die met typen en taal te maken hebben.
Het design sprak me aan omdat het me deed denken aan de spelletjes uit de tijd van Leisure Suit Larry of de ouderwetse MS-DOS Moeder de Gans spelletjes. Het stelde daarin niet teleur, want de graphics zijn zeker gebaseerd op deze tijd evenals de muziek die erbij zit. Heerlijk 'slecht' en een feest van herkenning. De combinatie van dingen (op)zoeken en daadwerkelijk de exorcismes uittypen terwijl je aanvallen moet ontwijken maakt het een afwisselend en leuk spel. Er zit een doorlopende verhaallijn in die ik zeker nog niet uitgespeeld heb en waarbij de verhaaltjes tussendoor echt iets extra's toevoegen. Ik vind de flauwe humor ook ontzettend leuk, maar dat blijft een kwestie van smaak.
Je moet wel snel (blind) kunnen typen of het leuk vinden om dit te oefenen, het is geen makkelijk spel.

На пустынном поле typing-игр не так много качественных завершенных игр, и Textorcist как раз одна из таких. Добавление к печатанию букв bullet hell'а делает игровой процесс слегка сумбурным и чуть неуклюжим, но при этом динамики и драйва становится предостаточно.
Игре немного не хватает полировки то тут, то там, но вообще если вам нравится быстро печатать, то игру пропускать нельзя.
I highly recommend this for people with a high level of tism, this game will not only test your manual skills but will also overheat your brain. Highly recommended. Game Of The Year.

It does have two big difficulty spikes, but honestly, i did have fun with it.
The story and humour can be hit or miss - the church runs more or less everything in rome and they have their own version of google called godle, i think this should give enough of an idea for the rest of the game.
There is a setting to change fancy font to plain one which does help quite a bit with readibility on later stages when you have to type in a lot of difficult latin words.

I sadly can't recommend this game, even though I like the idea.
The game doesn't have good settings and it wants you to type "settings" to go into settings, which does fit into the games theme, but was so unexpected that it took me a while to figure it out. You can't mute the game in the background, you only have one single option for windowed mode, can't resize the window and the intro scene already has the texttempo going way too slow imo. There aren't many cutscenes like that, but I'd like to be able to fast forward that, as I do not want to skip that entirely. But you can click enter for the dialogue ingame to have it scroll faster. You also can't change the settings while ingame, gotta go back to the menu.
When you get hit, you drop your book used to chant, but it can get stuck in places you can't reach, making it impossible to clear a stage. The camera can also get stuck when there is dialogue in the middle of the fight, making it impossible to use the entire terrain, because you'll be running outside of the screens view.
Something interesting however is how this game has controller support. It changes the way the game plays. You see two different letters and gotta choose the right one by pressing either the left or right bumper. I believe this makes the game a lot easier though, as you can freely move while playing like that, something that is a lot more complicated to smoothly do while typing on keyboard. It does take a bit longer though, so it kinda balances itself out a bit by doing that. You can see which button to press at the very bottom of the screen in advance to be quicker than just going through it letter by letter.
However, I must say, later bosses, no matter which type of gameplay I choose, it feels too hard, even on maxed out artifacts making things easier. There is simply too much going, I can't even dodge everything without typing words, how am I supposed to do both at once? There would definitely need to be some difficulty options. Overall I would have wished to finish the game, but I can't even reach the last boss.

游戏可以尝试，但是难度过于巨大，看到有人拿魂系列对吧，我觉得这是极大的误解，魂系列是操作下限比较低的游戏，专注于那几个操作，后面就是磨练自己的耐性和技艺了。但这个游戏要用到键盘的那么多按键并且基本有手柄也是一样用文字按钮迷惑你，一面手忙脚乱的攻击一面手忙脚乱的躲避纵版飞机游戏的弹幕，没有刷级、没有练习、决不妥协。游戏是有特色的，但是难度过大，大部门常规玩家不推荐。
Knackige Kämpfe, schöne Pixelgrafik, guter Soundtrack. Mir hat es Spaß gemacht. Wenn man keine hohe Frusttoleranz hat und über kein überdurchschnittliches Talent verfügt, hat man vermutlich keinen Spaß. Was mir an Schreibskills gefehlt hat, habe ich durch Frusttoleranz wettgemacht. Mich hat es motiviert an den Bossen zu scheitern, die Psalme durch die vielen Wiederholungen (ca. ab Spielmitte habe ich die Bosse nicht mehr beim ersten Anlauf gepackt) beinahe auswendig zu lernen und jedes Mal ein bisschen weiter zu kommen und besser den Bullets auszuweichen.
Das Spiel ist echt schwierig nach meinem Empfinden. Wartet auf einen Sale. Ich habe es für ca. 90 Cent gekauft und für den ersten Durchgang rund 6 Stunden gebraucht, inkl. Idletime. Für den Preis eine klare Weiterempfehlung. Vermutlich wisst ihr aber schon in den ersten beiden Stunden (Rückgabebedingungen), ob euch das Spiel Spaß macht. Mir hat es Spaß gemacht, ich kenne aber keinen Freund, dem ich das Spiel weiterempfehlen würde, aber ich weiß, dass es unter euch da draußen bestimmt noch den einen oder anderen gibt, der daran Freude hat.
Great game, dont listen to people saying the gameplay is to hard or that idea of typing and bullet hell is made badly, they probably have skill issue. This game suppose to be challenging, and going out of comfort zone trying to try dodge and type is part of it and its fun.
Difficulty progresion is alright. I think there is bit of bigger jump after 5th boss, but that isn't gonna throw you right into hardest fights
Bullet hell meets typing game! It doesn't work for some, but it's a great game if it works for you! Doesn't have a 2 player mode, but I sometimes will play with someone on typing and someone on arrow keys to move around
This is a game for "touch typists." If you can type very quickly without looking at the keys, and if all the other typing games out there are too easy and boring for you, >>THIS IS THE ONE<<. It is incredibly fun, but SO. DIFFICULT.
The shift-WASD controls for moving your character are very creative and pretty intuitive. The movements are super accurate for a game that asks you to dodge dozens of attacks while also typing. I am currently stuck on one of the last hardcore levels... The game is sometimes a little unfair in hardcore mode, but repeat it enough times and you'll make it.
There are a handful of typos in the story dialogue that bothered me, but it doesn't affect gameplay at all.

Not for everyone, but very very fun. Get this game if you love typing games but feel as if most aren't challenging anymore. Took me about 6 hours to beat the base game all together (multiple sessions, after several attempts at some of the boss battles my hands were shaking so bad I had to quit for a day lol). Frustrating, but feels SO good when you beat a level. For reference, my WPM is about 130 at the highest, but you don't NEED speed if you're a pro at dodging (which I am not) - it just helps. Mostly you'll need accuracy. Highly recommend giving it a try!

It's a mix of bullet hell and typing games. I'm not sure if that combo could work, but in this game it definitely doesn't.
You want to have your fingers on the home row to touch type quickly, but you always have to move them off to either move with shift+wasd or the arrow keys. It's easy to mistime releasing shift and type an extra a or d when moving around, this moves you back one letter in the word, which means that if you then blindly type the rest of the word while you're looking at the bullet hell all of your key presses will be incorrect and send you even further back until you notice. Not that you can even type from memory all the time because sometimes you need to type in Latin.
This game has controler support by the way! It just replaces all the letters with left or right bumper. I actually prefer that!
Sadly the controler layout doesn't fix all the unfunny jokes and uninteresting dialogue in-between each fight. It feels like a bad translation of an Italian comedy. Maybe I just don't get it, maybe I'm just irritated from restarting the last fight 10 times. On top of that you can't easily skip conversations since any time anything on the screen moves it counts as a new conversation that you need to hold space to skip again.
I will give give it credit that it does look and sound really good, so if you're better at typing than me and you like the jokes, you might actually like it. Right now it's on sale for under 1€ which is how much I'd be willing to pay if I ever wanted to play it again.

How you can play this without third hand is beyond me. It would be way better if you had to avoid projectiles first, and then had a chance to hit back by typing, during some kind of a pause. Otherwise it's just... strange, to say the least.

ну сложно относительно, интересно, что вкачиваешь себе скилл печатания одной рукой, а еще и одновременно аккуратно стрелочками водишь персонажа. В общем, шестереночки двигаются в игровом режиме, так что неплохой способ покачать извилины. Из минусов могу отметить отсутствие русского языка, и залоченный фпс, немножко дергано.
За цену маленькую мы получим то, что довольно уникально в своем инди-роде)

Ici on se retrouve dans la peau d'un exorciste qui va devoir progresser pour dénouer les fils de l'intrigue. Lors des combats il faut également rester mobile afin d'éviter les projectiles de nos ennemis. L'exercice demande une concentration de tous les instants afin de venir à bout de nos assaillants et réussir les affrontements. Au fil des missions que l'on termine on débloque des bonus qui nous permettent de nous aider dans notre mission.
En définitive, le jeu est prenant et l'univers bien ficelé avec une réalisation aux petits oignons. Préparez vos doigts agiles, vos claviers vont chauffer! Il faut noter que la capture d'écran semble ne pas fonctionner dans ce jeu et il vous faudra la jouer à l'ancienne si vous souhaitez partager vos captures.

Un experimento curioso y entretenido, aunque de momentos frustrante. Así definiría The Textorcist, un juego donde seremos un padre renegado que exorcizará a los demonios a través de la palabra santa, literalmente hablando, ya que tendremos que escribir cada versículo hasta vencer al mal.
Un juego sencillo, con pixel art bonito y bastante entretenido, aunque la mayor desventaja es que solo está en inglés (o chino). Cosa que hace que se dificulte mucho la escritura y te haga equivocarte más de una vez. Sumado a lo desafiante que es moverte en este bullet hell sin soltar la biblia.
No hay mucho más que decir.

没点开之前不知道是这么好玩的驱魔打字通游戏，结果闯了两关发现需要第三只手。不是，这困难模式是给人玩的吗，不让背关的，手柄都来不及反应更别说本身游戏对象的键鼠玩家。心疼一秒。嘿嘿音乐真上头再玩一会儿。

This game was made by Satan himself. How come no one before thought of combing typing and bullet hell. It's hard to pay attention to moving projectiles while typing with 10 fingers. I didn't make it very far as of writing the review and I'm not sure if I want to continue. I don't think I have the balls to become an exorcist.
i've only beaten 2 bosses so far, but it's really fun, I'm excited to improve my not so very good typing skills
As a typing + Bullet Hell game, it's better than expected.
BUT, every time the game is redownloaded, the save files disappear. This is such a disaster due to it's difficulty.
The game often crashes during or right after a battle, which means lost of progress, did quite some physical damage to my keyboard.(From my smashes :/
Unless people spend time fixing these issue, I won't recommend buying this game.

Очень целостный нарратив, музыка, механики - вот прямо идеальная игра-шкатулочка, бюджет потратили на разработку с толком. Но времени домучивать её нет, она слишком маленькая чтобы раз за разом пытаться её преодолеть - есть вещи попроще и побогаче.

вся боевая система строится на том что тебе надо уклоняться и писать фразы (прям по буквам)

若想不被恶魔附体，要么拥有钢铁般的意志和飞舞的手速，或者有身旁的亲友替你减少负担。什么，你都没有？那你就只能造科技或等变异了

Great game. Unique concept, good as a bullet hell, satisfies the typing niche, challenging in a bite-sized way (on first play).
This is one of my favorite bullet hells! I'm still on playthrough one but at just around 2 hours I'm almost done. If I wasn't going for achievements this game is probably under 2 hours in length. This is a bad thing for the "casual" gamer because of how the games replayability is tuned.
So 2 hours of campaign, not 2 hours of gameplay/content. There's hardcore modes I am looking forward to earning the achievements on but most gamers do not repeat the content for higher difficulties so if you fall into this category be warned you probably don't get more than 3 hours out of this game tops. Note that this game goes on sale for 1-2$ a lot though, and that is a steal even just for 3 hours of content. It's good content.
Now for the 100%ers. The game seems more focused on repeating the bosses within the game and perfecting the fights. There's modifiers that increase challenge for score, etc. I really like the mechanics and I'm actually looking forward to trying out the hardcore bosses to see just how far they went with tuning it. I would recommend this game to anyone who's interests align with this. Repetition/skill building is this games replay value, but even without that it's a steal for 1$ on sale.
非常精致的弹幕小游戏，高难版金山打字通，可以用手柄游玩大大降低了游戏难度，bgm画面boss设计都很顶，一共有十关大概是boss rush的模式。一边打字一边驱魔，一些小细节设计得特别有趣，比如dlc的赛博村庄里村民会吃夹了电路板的牛肉，感兴趣的一定亲自游玩试试！(可惜不能截屏)

躲避弹幕的同时还要打字，创意不错，但是操作难度太高了，上手难度极高，而且要打的字是英文也就罢了，还有拉丁语？这对受众人群来说很不友好，小众群体里再筛选一批对其它语言感兴趣的小众之小众。

This game has a really cool gameplay idea but either I'm missing something or it just doesn't end up working well. If you use the "Shift+WASD" to move like the game suggests, that means you're straight up not typing anything while evading enemy attacks (and you'll be evading more and more every fight), and if you use the arrow keys to move, it kinda works as long as the letters you have to type are from the left side of the keyboard. As soon you have to venture into the right side of the keyboard, you either have to stop moving and use your right hand to type those letters, or look at the keyboard to find those keys with your left hand, since you don't have muscle memory to type the right side of the keyboard with your left hand.
And if you use both hands to type, you'll just end up being hit by enemy attacks, and the further into the game you go, the less downtime the attack patterns have.
The obvious solution is to make all the required typing only use the left side of the keyboard, but then the stuff you type wouldn't have been biblical stylized stuff. The game went for both the cool style and the typing simulator and ended up being good at neither.
Avoid unless you have three hands.

Typing as a mechanic in video games is not common, and this game manages to do it well. This game's ending gets very hard though so be prepared to try hard.

Extremely underrated
Идея игры казалась отличной. Печатный тренажёр про экзорциста с крутым саундтреком, стиль и атмосфера на месте, юмор дурацкий и прекрасно сюда подходит.
К сожалению, «оба полушария мозга», как пишет разработчик на странице игры, у меня одновременно не работают. Во время печатания надо уворачиваться от кучи летящего в тебя говна, и я смогла найти только два способа, как это сделать: 1) печатать левой рукой, ходить по стрелочкам правой (что убивает смысл тренажёра печати); 2) печатать обеими руками в промежутках, когда главный герой стоит в относительно безопасном месте (очень недолго это длится).
Я пыталась играть с геймпада — там надо вместо набора букв нажимать LB или RB для каждой буквы отдельно, что медленнее, чем печать. Я пыталась играть одновременно с геймпадом и клавиатурой — очевидно, чтобы печатать слова на клавиатуре обеими руками, а ходить, управляя стиком ногой (без комментариев). В конце концов пришла к выводу, что мне не хватает третьей руки. Впрочем, если бы все слова были только под левую руку, то было бы вполне адекватно.
Геймплей меня полностью сломал. Но думаю, весело играть в коопе — кто‑то ходит, кто‑то печатает.
