It's a fun game to play with friends. It isn't revolutionary as far as the survival genre goes but it is a good time.

would be a 4.5 if not for the lore and theme, game has some frustrating mechanics like rest, repetitive predictable world gen and enemy "variety" and a disappointing final boss.
P.S durins folk DLC is way too expensive for things that should probably be in the game already, Since the whole theme is about reclaiming moria, After vanilla endgame everything just feels empty and pointless.

the combat Feels fun and simple at the same time. (until stats/ craft start becoming an issue)
the jabber of the locals is interesting but needs more variety.
Negatives (solo difficulty playtest)- Its missing simple tiny core human improvements to a completely sensible repeatable gameplay loop.
Building takes practice to figure out, it needs an alternative snapping to grid feature that can be toggled.
Most Reasources do not to regenerate despite being far outside the players Hearth Ranges/ line of sight, or even not being in that same room for days.
Non renewable resources and Map Environment: the mountain shudders, enemy patrols come and go, creatures respawn.... yet the environment stays exactly as you left it. once you use up a micro node or mine out local minerals, break down collectables, its gone for good meaning you have to open a new cave which may give you more higher level danger to deal with, this feeling grows the higher difficulty things get. Even on the Lowest difficulties.
your character targets terrain / decor / foes alike with All of your weapons. this wastes limited reacources, collectable crops, or fighting indoors to protect your own base damages it.
This game favors favors Linear progression in the form of upgrades to unlock everything, despite the gameplay loop remaining the same. Scout, Gather, build, Sleep, Eat. Raid?
"gatekeeper" stats keep your weapons, tools and gear at a considerable disadvantage, rather than okay. new area? better get new everything that you have not/ found or unlocked yet!
Enemy scaling to damage issues "My weapon doesnt have enough stats!" + Corpse runs
( im not a fan of- "it deals tickle damage to an already tanky foe/ regular enemies in that Room.)
( when you die, everything is dropped, always make backup outposts/ gear/food ect, some enemies may not leave and guard that location.)
This game is fun, the base building is pretty good and fun, and the main quest has a few dozen hours of content.

Infelizmente a lore de Tolkien não consegue carregar tantas escolhas questionáveis de game design pro jogo. Até daria uma opção meio a meio, porque esse jogo com amigos se torna completamente divertido e suportável, mas para jogar sozinho é um porre.
Por algum motivo vc sempre está mal equipado quando muda e área para uma região mais avançada.
Você precisa explorar e reconstruir estátuas para liberar certas receitas de craft, até ai ok, mas as estátuas não ficam marcadas no mapa, se vc achar uma é melhor catar pedra e reconstruir logo.
Algumas áreas são cópia e cola.
Não aguento mais ter que dar flechada em bicho que buga no pilar e na parede.
A verticalização do jogo é tão lindo quanto uma batida de carro, o goblin num degrau abaixo do seu não leva cacetada da sua espada de jeito nenhum.
Eu adoro os anões de Senhor dos Anéis, mas só gostar da franquia pesa muito. Se vc for um jogador solo fique longe desse negócio, agora com amigos é tankável e possívelmente divertido.
Vai jogar Valheim ou Conan Exiles se for pelo survival craft, é melhor.

Прошли с подругой The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria - и это было одно из самых атмосферных кооперативных приключений за последнее время. Игра буквально пропитана духом вселенной Толкина: Мория ощущается живой, древней и немного пугающей, а гномий вайб передан просто шикарно. Особенно зашли моменты, когда начинаются задушевные пения песни во время добычи руды или распития эля - в такие моменты реально чувствуешь себя частью гномьего братства под горой. Очень порадовала система строительства: можно создавать свои чертоги, обустраивать базу и каждый раз возвращаться туда после вылазок как домой. Вариативность в постройках достойная, и это добавляет уюта и привязанности к своему убежищу. Боевая система простая, но при этом приятная - не перегружает, но даёт удовольствие от сражений. Оружия хватает на любой вкус, а крушить орков, гоблинов и прочую нечисть - отдельный кайф.
Отдельно хочется отметить:
- Крутая атмосфера и лор - особенно для фанатов Толкина
- Исследование Мории и знакомых мест
- Кооператив - с другом игра раскрывается в разы лучше
- Удобная система телепортов (не нужно постоянно бегать с ресурсами)
- Кастомизация гнома до мелочей
- Красивая картинка и отличные текстуры
Из минусов:
- Иногда встречаются баги и шероховатости
- Нельзя просто перемещать постройки - только разрушать и строить заново
- Нельзя избавиться от ненужных предметов: если что-то скрафтил случайно (например, лишний рюкзак), его нельзя удалить - он просто остаётся лежать. По сути единственный вариант это унести и выбросить куда-нибудь подальше, например в глубокую реку
В итоге: это не просто выживалка, а полноценное приключение с сюжетом в любимой вселенной. Если вы фанат "Властелина колец" - игра практически обязательна к прохождению. А если есть с кем играть - готовьтесь к куче весёлых и запоминающихся вечеров.

La historia en sí es buena, pero en vez de trabajarla, darle contexto y continuidad, explicarla o hacer nuevos escenarios (completos me refiero porque hay cosas nuevas y molan), se dejaron todo a medias.
Me huelo que la idea en su cabeza era que con las excavaciones el jugador automatizaría la recolección y creación de la barbaridad de recursos que pide todo (metiendo las mecánicas nuevas de gestión y que el jugador no tuviera que recolectar todo a mano) y mientras las hacías crecer, tu te ibas a vivir la nueva aventura (que daría sentido y necesidad a la mecánica de gestión). Pero la realidad es que la gestión de las excavaciones y las profesiones es muy muy torpe y nada automatizada o intuitiva, y la narración de la historia cojea por todos lados pareciendo que siempre te falta información... Te quedas con un sabor de boca amargo pensando en lo que podía haber sido. Lo alargan artificialmente todo, parece que hicieron un plan enorme que por pasta, tiempo o ambas se quedaron a medias y mal hecho.

Unfortunately, this isn't a game that I'd recommend to play - purely due to lack of polish. There's a lot of cute and fun surprises along the way with the singing, drinking, and some exploration. However, the UI being difficult to navigate, the story being sparce, and the lack of cohesion between the exploration and the characters makes it difficult to continue. There are just long silent segments in the tunnels where there's no background music, and the map is hard to follow. So you kinda just end up dying a lot.
If you're a fan of the LOTR franchise, you'll find a lot of fun trinkets and nods to the story. They had fun with the language, the songs, and the lore. I don't think I can say the depth translates well for those that aren't as engrossed.

Значит по существу. Мало сюжетных поворотов, много ХП у теневых орков (камон, я тролля и дракона быстрее убиваю), мир весь построен из очень похожих промптов (не сами области, а именно отдельные поселение орков, переходы локаций, пещеры), системные требования лично для меня проблем не составили, но в целом можно было и лучше оптимизировать игру, фарм, вечные лазания по пещерам очень душат, спасал фортнайт, явно не доплатили автору катсцен я считаю.
По прохождении могу сказать, что оставаться восстанавливать Морию я не буду, это выглядит как бесплатные переработки на работе, не более того, очень задушнился с игры. Не назвал бы себя казулом, прошёл от начала и до конца Abiotic Factor и там так душно и пресно не было.

So far so good on story mode.
Spelet är fint, nära Tolkiens historia med fina små hintar och nickar mot både film och böcker. Buildingsystemet är okej men skulle behöva en del arbete.
Striden och Storyn är väldigt bra och rolig, crafting systemet är bra.
Det mest fantastiska är sången i spelet som är väldigt medryckande och bra kopplat till loren.
4/5. Värt många timmar.
Es muy buen juego, entrenido y con buenos graficos. Lo unico es que solo vas aumentando el nivel de las cosas que construis. Por ejemplo, tenes un pico nivel 1 y en determinado momento tenes que tener un pico nivel 2 y despues otro nivel 3 y otro nivel 4 etc etc jaja como que es lo mismo subiendo de nivel una y otra vez. Obviamente con amigos es 10x mas divertido, pero tambien es un juego que se puede disfrutar jugando solo.

лично мне игра понравилась но по большей части она выигрывает из за лора, сетинга и атмосферы, лично на меня глубины очень нагнетали а кристальный спуск завораживал, но есть три минуса: во первых на данный момент до сих пор нет русского языка хоть и игре 3 с лишним года а вот все другие есть (я не удивлюсь если где то можно найти официальный перевод на латынь), второй минус это боевка хоть я к 5 часам привык но как я уже понял люди которые любят щиты и стоять танковать на одном месте они вымирающий вид, ведь всем увароты и перекаты нужны а тут они очень криво сделаны (я кстати к вымирающему виду отношусь), ну и на последок 3 минус это разплывчетая прогрессия в начале ты статуи чинишь в середине почти все предметы через кузницы открываются или через просто нахождение новых ресурсов мне это лично не понравилось как то так.

I cannot recommend this game as much as I enjoy parts of it, the fact that you have to struggle through entire areas doing half damage and basically unable to defend yourself until the game happens to drop the new materials you need to do damage in the area you're in, I literally had to sit there for 20 minutes as 15 orcs destroyed my entire base and lost about half the items as they glitched through the floor, the fact that I didn't lose game critical materials during it is a miracle, having a bunch of invincible enemies run in and progress wipe you is incredibly disheartening.

Return to Moria delivers a truly unique and immersive co-op experience, especially for fans of Tolkien’s world. The atmosphere, sound design, and sense of exploring the depths of Moria together with friends are outstanding. Many moments—discovering lost halls, rebuilding structures, and surviving the darkness—feel genuinely special and memorable in multiplayer.
However, the game falls short in several key areas.
One of the biggest missed opportunities is the lack of enemy variety. The game would have greatly benefited from more diverse and evolving threats: cave trolls with different weapons (clubs, swords, armored variants), progressively stronger enemies, and more dynamic encounters. There was huge potential for enemies to actively reclaim lost territory—imagine Orcs, Trolls, and Goblins launching coordinated attacks as your base grows stronger, especially as your gold hoard increases.
Additional enemy types could have added much more depth and tension: giant spiders that trap players in cocoons, Wargs and boss-level Wargs, and even powerful sorcerer-type enemies inspired by figures like Sauron or Morgoth. And most notably—why is there no Balrog encounter? That alone feels like a major missed opportunity given the setting.
The biggest issue, however, is the lack of endgame content. After defeating the dragon, the world becomes lifeless. There are no meaningful quests, no escalating threats, and almost no enemies left—aside from small, trivial patrols of a few goblins. At that point, the game is reduced to building, and effectively feels “finished” far too early. This is especially disappointing because the co-op experience up until then is genuinely great.
On top of that, the game suffers from noticeable technical issues. Bugs such as enemies getting stuck inside rocks break immersion and reinforce the feeling that the game was released in an unfinished state.
In summary, Return to Moria has a fantastic foundation and shines in co-op exploration and atmosphere, but it ultimately feels incomplete. With more enemy variety, dynamic world mechanics, and meaningful endgame content, it could have been something truly exceptional.
Meh... its pretty bad. Might be better with a group, but its just a middle of the road survival crafter with a LoTR skin applied. its fine, but forgettable.

The official nitrado servers are garbage. Online the consensus is that the last update destabilized the whole game, whatever the reason it's impossible to play with 3 people- let alone 8. I've bought every DLC. Hardly feels like a 45$ experience + 16$ a month for a dedicated server. Make your game playable. Enough said.
side note, game has been out for two years and there are no quivers, instead your arrows comically point straight upwards out of your backpack.

Decent Game very enjoyable
The more the merrier, usually. The game can get hectic at times with many players. I started with 4 siblings and my wife and it felt a bit rushed, but overall it has been a wonderful experience. I would like it if the dwarves sung longer songs! The base building can be a bit tedious if you go for something large and communal like I am, but the game is well paced and feels fair and fun to play. The hunger isn't a huge problem, but rather used for buffing yourself and others instead. So far having a blast! Except for the sea monster kraken guy, he sucked. We tried doing that forge early (it felt really early bc we got one hit by the kraken every time he moved lol) and got stuck there but that felt like human error, not game error.
TLDR: amazing game, would recommend for small groups that like survival games!
Are ye fer hearty meals, fine ales, good song, and hard stone for a roof o'er yer head? I've no desire tae be no fancy, flitting elf meself, and reclaiming the ancestral home of me kin is me dream! Such fun tae be had, adventures and orc-skulls tae split. Be careful not to leave yer axe embedded in one's nervous system, or that darned Elf might claim it as his own in the tally! (Elves not in game, as it should be in Moria).

The game starts strong with a good sense of atmosphere, but the gameplay quickly becomes repetitive and uninspired. Combat is really bad, so the only hook the game has is the Lord of the rings aspect (which seems to bit pretty well used).
Comfortable, relaxed-paced Survival game in LotR style. Some Lore from the books/movies included. Never feels stressed. The "sound" mechanic in the deeps as long you did not kill the boss of that region generates a bit athmosphere so you can't just rush through all minerals and craft the best stuff instantly.

Let me try to summarize before my anger explodes... you move and fight like a copy of Hardlands from 2018. You sprint like 100 yards on a full bar of stamina, yes dwarf, but you are also tragically weak and squishy without a weapon suited to your area or armor. The resources for your gear is from the area you have to enter... sooo... running isn't an option. better get creative. your a dwarf with little to no crafting skills, linear weapons that become trash after clearing your current area, and no stamina for your heavy attacks. the things you craft can't be broken down, so they just... exist. when you dont use them anymore. they are just there. in a box or laying on the ground forever. Orcs can spawn a swarm around you from thin air. your armor breaks from like 2 maybe 3 hits.... when your defending your base, you can hit your own buildings. ... just... go play Craftopia or Palworld... a bunch of copy and paste amateurs slapping a big name on a little game. Finally got Tin ore... trying to get out of the enemy town without getting 1 shot bc my armor is busted from the last time I was here mining. I could explode right now. CAN'T EVEN CLIMB A 2 FOOT WALL IN TIME TO AVOID AN ENEMY WEAPON.... BAHHHH... no traps, explosives... i mean... your a punching bag that takes 3 hits from a grunt and have weapons that aren't much more than your fist till you grab and run with new resources from areas you need them literally to enter... Like playing PS2 games again, but with less content.
Amazing game, all the little details are so fun to see, but way better with a friend
friend gifted it to me and ngl this game is pretty easy to sink hours into my first time playing 6 hours half with my buddy half solo. its got pretty decent combat for the type of game it is. building could be a little bit better as its really just super basic but thats also not always a bad thing i just like to have more options personally. progression with gear being tied to exploration feels great especially when youre doing it to restore the glory of the dwarves!
love exploring and singing while i mine.
feels awesome to take out orcs and goblins, and always great when you find a chest with goodies.
discovering the path of the fellowship is lots of fun, and I'm always excited to see what's around the next corner.
I know i'm just getting started, and i look forward to getting lost in Moria!

It’s a solid co-op experience that really finds its rhythm when you’re mining and singing with friends, even if the UI feels a bit clunky and stuck in the past. The loop can get repetitive and the exploration feels a little empty at times, but the atmosphere and sense of progression keep it engaging enough to recommend.
A bit like Valheim underground.

I really want to love this game and I do like it well enough, but I am super frusterated with it.
For context, I am playing as a single player offline.
I chose to play story mode because I want to have a good time, but it still feels very combat focused. Why do the orcs have to respawn after I go to sleep?! I'm annoyed that I'm constantly running back and forth between camps until I unlock the mapstones which I can't do until I beat Orc bosses/camps, but I can't beat Orc bosses/camps until I have better materials which I can't access without beating Orc camps it seems.
You're also limited with a small pack which means more back and forth. The tutorial missed the part where it should tell you that repairing the statues unlocks weapon recipes, and for the first few hours I thought repairing them was a side quest. Even more running around trying to find all those statues after!
Base building is trash, progression is trash, and you can't delete items.
If this wasn't LOTR based, would have returned this game so fast.
It's fun to be a dwarf, wish there were more content though.

An sich ist es ein schönes Spiel, nur, dass die Ressourcen nicht alle an einem Ort ordentlich gelagert werden können, ist echt nervig und ein Grund für mich, dieses Spiel nicht weiter zu spielen.
TL;DWTR: Only buy this if you LOVE dwarves, and I mean LOOOOOOVE dwarves, and even then...
The LotR vibes end real quick. The game gives you that feeling in the beginning, but the rest of the game misses capturing that.
But that's not even the real issue with this. The issue is that it feels like a survival game made by someone who heard about survival games second hand one time years ago. SO MANY mechanics, gameplay decisions, and balancing that doesn't make any sense. Even down to the way base building works. It's all so bad, ESPECIALLY the optimization. Getting stuck on weird areas that are so open you know you can't be the first to walk that way. Just.. ok at best, AT BEST.

简中区极其冷门，加上之前的口碑两极分化，纠结了很久要不要买。
结果一边玩儿一边陆陆续续买了所有DLC（通关也没觉得买亏）。
IGN能给评4分真的是个大节奏，当年没给他们钱是吧？
这游戏当年问题很多，但不至于和咕噜一个档。
本体更新到现在的版本，绝对值得一玩！

4.明明箱子里有制作材料，NPC依旧无法制作
5.国王的酿酒塔有时候无法用酒袋子接
6.NPC卡在奇奇怪怪的地方
……
就感觉哪儿哪儿都是问题，修复和更新速度还巨慢无比。
实在不行花点钱请个程序员大手子吧。目前这程序水平简直Pile of Orc ♥♥♥♥.

Nach ca. 60 Stunden kann ich mal sagen, dass dieses Spiel auf einer Seite doch recht viel Spaß gemacht hat. Es gibt viel zu entdecken und viel zu Bauen bzw. herzustellen. Die Story ist aber eher irrelevant und eigentlich habe ich die in den vielen Spielstunden eigentlich immer wieder vergessen. Aber leider gibt es für mich dennoch viel zu viel negatives.
- Die Spielwelt besteht aus größeren Spielabschnitten, die es nur einmal gibt. Aber dazwischen gibt es oft Gänge und Ecken, die sich immer und immer wiederholen. Warum sieht z.B. jedes kleine "Orkstett" gleich aus? Warum kann man dies nicht irgendwie anders gestalten? Die Gänge und Ecken sind halt nur mit anderen Ressourcen und mehr Gefahren gefüllt. Daher mein Tipp: Ihr müsst Fackeln als Wegweiser nutzen bzw. als Sackgassen Schild
- Auch die "großen" Schmieden sehen ALLE gleich aus und müssen auf die gleiche Art wieder befeuert werden
- Die Gegnerauswahl ist auch sehr gering... die Unterscheiden sich meist nur vom Aussehen, wie viel Leben sie besitzen, wie viel Rüstung sie haben und wie viel Schaden sie austeilen (Wobei die letzten Sachen auch per Schwierigkeit einzustellen ist)
- Das Bausystem ist mit den ganzen Extra sehr nett, aber das ANDOCKEN ist eine Katastrophe. Oft will eine Wand drüber, weiter weg, darunter an einem anderen Bauteil anknüpfen, aber passiert oft, dass es schief ist bzw. 1-2mm raus guckt bzw. es ans falsche Bauteil anknüpft
- Man hat Rezepte für Waffen etc. immer früher bekommen, bevor man die Ressourcen dafür in der Welt gefunden hat. Das hat uns verwirrt, weil wir oft dachten, dass wir was übersehen haben
- Die Erze im Spiel sind ENDLICH! Das heißt, einmal abgebaut, bleiben sie weg. Wir haben zu zweit gespielt mit Welt-Erze auf Standard (das geht bis sehr hoch glaube) und es hat gereicht. Aber wenn man die Erze in Barren und dann z.B. in Pfeile/Bolzen etc. verschwendet, dann kann man sich quasi eine Sackgasse bauen, vermute ich. Wenn man auf Pfeile und Bolzen verzichtet, reicht dennoch das ganze Erz - SOFERN ihr auch ALLES immer schön abbaut. PS. Man findet später immer wieder solche einzelnen Steine auf den Wegen, die andersfarbig glänzen. Da kann man auch Erze rausbekommen, aber sehr wenig und das lohnt nicht bzw. dauert recht lange
- Und natürlich bekommt man das beste Rüstungsset erst, wenn man das Spiel durchgespielt hat... WARUM`? Wenn ich ALLES besiegt habe! Die Story abgeschlossen habe! DANN BRAUCH ICH DIE NICHT MEHR! Ich habe die nur Hergestellt, weil es dafür ein Erfolg gab. Danach war Ende im Gelände
- Die 100% Errungenschaften sind eigentlich einfach. Es ist auch NICHT das DLC notwendig! Achtung: Wenn ihr das DLC habt, brauchen das auch ALLE Koop Spieler! Ansonsten muss man nur alles farmen und abbauen und besonders auf die Statuetten achten, die euch auf den Story Weg begegnen! Entweder macht ihr die sofort fertig, ein Screenshot bzw. ein Reisestein davor. Daraus kommen Rezepte! Wir haben den letzten fast 2 Stunden gesucht... wegen 1 Schild Rezept. Ansonsten nur Durchspielen und 90% aller Waffen/Schilde/Rüstungen und alle Biere einmal Herstellen.
Ich fand das Spiel irgendwie doch gut, aber halt zu viel negatives bzw. starke Kritikpunkte. Daher gebe ich Daumen runter. Und ja, liebe Kinder. Man kann auch Spiele durchspielen bzw. mal 60+ Stunden haben und dennoch Negativ bewerten!

first things first i love dwarfs and i am huge fan of LOTR and Warhammer Oldword/age of sigmar DWARFS
So the only best mechanic this game actually has is the mining and singing while mining
and i really like the special weapons/tools they for your special slot to make you feel special and grant opportunity for role in the party
the worst

-story and its phasing
-boss fights
-weapon strength system
-and bugs LOTS OF BUGS
im sad and its not about the money i wasted its about the potential this game wasted. i honestly hope that DRG will steal the singing system because it was just that good
also the fact that they locked the NPC's on DLC is kind of wild considering that singleplayer is an insult to this game and so lonely.

El juego esta guapo, apenas llevo 18 H cuando Escribo la reseña. Si te mola el mundo de El Señor de los anillos,
cuevas, muuucho farmeo picando durante horas te va a encantar. El progreso es lento lo cual si me gusta porque si te lo pasas rápido no tiene sentido; Si eres jugador solitario puedes jugarlo pero se te va hacer algo tedioso y aun mas lento, está hecho para jugar cooperativo, Mi recomendación? Alquila o Hostea un server 10$ asi todos podran jugarlo aunque el Host no esté conectado e ir progresando, Lo que se aprende 1 lo aprende el otro es es una ventaja. Un fallo que yo veo? El tema del apuntado no es exacto en la " cruceta" el centro, quiero decir para picar o disparar flechas etc notas la desviación hacia la izquierda , osea que tienes que ir contra instinto y mover el pico hacha arco etc a la derecha de donde quieres dar... Por lo demás? Tiene recoleccion de recursos, siembra, crasteo gigante, preparate para leer todo su contenido segun vas avanzando en la historia, eso es obligatorio xD
Great game love that they got the voice of Gimli for the films and it continues the story after The Lord of the Rings. Another cool thing is that it has the descendant of Azog the Defiler in it. Even though the game appears to be set in the movie universe, the areas that the Fellowship of the Ring go to look different due to randomized areas.
Pros:
- Fun building game in an amazing universe
- Voice of Gimli returns John Rhy-Davis
- Has a decent story
- Loved digging new tunnels
- Continues the movies story after Return of the King
- Has fast travel
- Can build a new base anywhere
Cons:
- The areas of the film do not look the same
- Furniture is a little bare
- Finding some statues and pages was hard to find

Honestly, I kept trying to give this game a chance as I played but was constantly disappointed. LotR rings fandom can't stop me from recognizing a bad game. Once I equipped chest and glove armor and took the exact same damage from the wolves and such as I explored, I decided I was done with it, but for some reason I kept on going... Also, I know it's a survival game, I love the genre, but having to return to base to eat and sleep every ten minutes? With severe reduction in stamina from lack of rest shortly after a certain threshold, which is about 8-10 mins after sleeping in the game. It's ridiculous.
Then I got to the elven quarter. All geared up, chest and gloves and shield and war axe, thinking I was ready for this. I spent four hours repairing every statue in the first area to craft all the gear.
I encounter my first enemy in the new biome. It's a cave bear. I hit it. My war axe did 16-19 dmg a hit to enemies in the previous biome. It does 5-7 dmg to this bear. the bear hits me for 20 damage a hit, which does not tickle. I later discover the goblins and orcs are plentiful and stronger here, as well. So what? Suddenly I am supposed to sneak around cause everything can beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of me all of a sudden? But how can I sneak around when enemies litter the landscape...?
F*** that. And f*** your game.

I won't lie, I got this game primarily because Gimli is voiced by John Rhys Davies who voiced Gimli in the original trilogy and nostalgia but what followed was a fun builder experience.
Don't be intimidated by the reviews saying this was overly difficult and there were raids constantly etc... There is a story mode/easy mode for a reason. It's absolutely playable solo (though it's infinitely more fun with a couple of friends as you sing and dance together and the extra voices add some fun). I'm currently playing a solo run in the sandbox and a campaign with friends on normal. We've gotten to the the first Great Forge and only got raided maybe twice? We had iron swords and it was more than enough to beat them back. I only died at the Great Forge because I had jumped off a ledge and took fall damage. Plan your blocks and dodges and you'll be just fine.
The map can get difficult to understand where you are when you start hitting the deeper levels. I don't even use it in the sandbox anymore tbh because it's just a confusing mess but I craft a waystone wherever I can to fast travel. This is an area where I think they can certainly optimize.
You can travel and take materials from one world to another which is a bit cheesy but when you really need a material and you know one world has an abundance, it comes in handy. Also keep in mind, different world seeds have different material combinations. Meaning one may have more ore and another more coal (for example).
If you're looking for a casual, nostalgic, weekend builder to play solo or with friends, this will fit the bill (but again, check your difficulty). If you're looking to be a one dwarf wrecking crew out the gate, you'll be disappointed.
По скриншотам, трейлерам и отзывам игры подумал, что игра хорошая для коопа, но оказалось это не так.
В игре интересно только от силы первые 4 часа дальше просто максимальная скукотень. Локации максимально пустые, исследовать их не интересно от слова совсем, а еще и стамина душит с такими локациями. Куча необоснованного гринда. Урон от оружия мизерный на любом уровне прокачки, для чего я открываю новые оружия, если урон чуть ли не такой же даже с учетом чар не знаю. Были моменты, когда враги просто не видны, но зато ты получаешь урон, за такое количество времени проведенной в игре такое происходило 3-4 раза. Смысл от сундуков так же минимален и лут в них однотипен, карта сделана на отъебись. В общем не советую игру к приобретению даже с учетом скидки.

現状サンドボックスのバランスが悪すぎる。
初期鉱石からの次の鉱石やレシピ解放が最終MAP
発見後の場所から繋がったMAPで手に入る、
みたいな糞バランスだったりする事がある。
一応シードでその辺変わるけど、
その為にシード厳選が必要となるなら
バランス悪いとしか言えない。
勿論初期鉱石から作る装備で
最終的なＭＯＢに勝てる訳が無く、
無駄に復活マラソンの回数が増える。
何より、お勧めしないにした理由として、
進行不可能になるバグが存在している事。
自分はウバサムの木を採集中に足元のブロックとの
ちょっとした段差にスタック判定が出たのか、
ジャンプ程度の高さから
一生自分が降ってくる状態になり
操作不能でそのデータは終了した。
こういった致命的なバグがある為
お金を払ってプレイするのを
お勧めしないという評価にしました。
とはいえ、ドワーフ的な思考を持つ、
もしくはドワーフな皆様にはお勧めできます。
洞窟を堀りながら歌い、酒を飲みながら歌い、
鍛冶に勤しむのが人生と思えるドワーフなら
楽しめる事必死なので、お勧めします。

probably around 2 hours of afk time mixed in.
I played entirely solo and can't really speak on the servers or multiplayer generally.
TL;DR Buy on sale, worth a playthrough, Achievements are easy
This review Is mostly from the perspective of a 100% achievement completionist, but at the end i will give my opinion overall on the game.
I bought this during the Sale -55% off. at this price point it was about 13.50$ U.S.
All the achievements are pretty straight forward. enter x area, kill y boss, craft z thing. The achievement that took the longest was craft 1 of every brew which accounts for some of that afk time (brews take 10-25 real time minutes to craft) although finding some of the statue chests was a bit of a challenge.
In terms of difficulty acquiring achievements id say its about a 4/10 once you get the basics down.
Overall I would say the games about a 7/10.
Combat is pretty basic and once you have dodge mastered is pretty trivial.
Crafting is what you'd expect from a crafting game, although a little unique in that the setting is underground the whole time basically.
Lore wise it fits well into the Original Lord of the Rings with easter eggs and references throughout.(Even though the game lore isn't considered fully canon.)
One big criticism I have of the overall game is that as soon as you get an upgrade gear wise its almost immediately made useless by moving onto the next area.
Overall I'd say if you're a LOTR fan and like this style of game it's worth a playthrough, but I'd probably grab it on sale. 35$ is a little steep for something this basic.
