Storyline

When I had first started this game, I enjoyed the game because it was different and more forgiving in terms of loot for looter shooter games. If you didn't get the roll on a particular set of gear you were looking for, you could stat-swap that specific part to what you wanted it to be to turn it into the god-roll you wanted so long as you had the resources to do so.

With the addition of prototype gear and how heavily RNG-based it is, Ubisoft & Massive have taken what people liked about Division 2 and shot it out back. You had systems in this game to help with the otherwise abysmal RNG that is present in this game only to go straight back to Year 1 with RNG loot that is going to take hundreds to thousands of hours to get the equipment you need for what you want only for that specific gear (Prototype Gear) to not be able to be used in certain game modes.

Great Art Direction, probably one of the best if not the best in gaming.
The Performance is very good.
The graphics are very good on the parts that matter, which is also a sign of good optimization with this game.
The gameplay contains shooting mostly running for objectives - there is no decision making or anything but for what it does, it does its job very well.
There is lots of exploration.
The sounds and ambient music are very good and fitting.

It is a live service game so from time to time you might loose connection, the servers might be restarted, or you cannot join a game due to the Bravo Code Error.
I would skip the PvP and go for coop.
Getting a good build together is also way better than in the former Divsion game.

Last but not least, I really like the skin/cosmetics section alot of the stuff downright looks like it is supposed to make sense, for example the fairview set looks like former workers which tried to keep the power plant running or from blowing up, so they taped up their stuff and so on.

The events are absolutely fun in this game. The PvE part is very good, the grind is a bit obnoxious sometimes but for me way better than in the first game.
The Brooklyn DLC wasn't bad either but needs some balancing especially on the end boss's part(also barely anyone ever plays it.)

Lots of thoughts went to into making this game and I rate it a 7.9/10

I bought the game on sale for €3 and it feels like a €3 game. The story is laughably cliché, and the gameplay isn't actually all that much better. For a looter shooter, there's isn't that much looting (I'm pretty sure I looted mostly kneepads instead of fun weapons), and honestly, the shooting isn't great either. Shots lack impact (and feedback, for tougher enemies), enemies quickly outlevel your weapons as you level up, and enemies stay in cover annoyingly long. There are skills, but you can't choose your first skill as you're forced by a tutorial, and the skill options aren't... really all that, either.

Then there's the fact it's a cover shooter when cover shooters were long past on their way out, combined with the fact that the cover mechanism doesn't even really work properly. The keybinds are awkward, the UI is awkward and overall, there just doesn't really seem to be much to this game.

Играть интересно, но разрабы подогнав бонус ввиде разовой прокачки до 30 уровня хотя бы предупредили что скипнется весь сюжет, да он хоть и такой сибе но все же сюжет. я апнул 20лвл и черт меня дернул воспользоваться пакетом повышения. Перс стал 30лвл ресов и бабок накидали но при этом и весь сюжет скипнулся в итоге и играть перехотелось))) игра прикольна но кто приобрел аниверсари у вас должен быть такой бонус на первом прохождении не саветую трогать только если создаете нового перса, так как я уже начинать заново не хочу просто удали и вернось когда захочется в шутан поиграть

Bom, como um gigante fã de Destiny e looter shooters posso diser que me aproximando das 100 horas de jogo, o jogo é maneiro!
Infelizmente ao chegar ao nível 40 o jogo realmente não te da uma instrução do que fazer ou pelo que farmar, e diria que até a comunidade do jogo tem essa vibe. Em diversas ocasiões sejam lives ou vídeos os criadores de conteúdo tendem a dizer "ah tem MUITA coisa pra fazer" e é isso, sem um guia direto ou uma sugestão do que fazer.
Estou ansioso pelas próximas atualizações e espero encontrar mais motivações do que fazer dentro do jogo, a base é bem sólida e o sentimento de estar jogando um jogo do meu genero favorito que tenta se aproximar da realidade é muuito dahora (envés de matar o bilionésimo robô que nasce de leite pela 0933298502 vez)

Recomendo muito pra quem curte gastar aquele tempo sozinho matando bixinho e ver dropar corzinha maneira na tela, depois de seguir uma build a gameplay fica top!

The Division 2 takes what the Division one had, and impressively improved on it with essentially unlimited end-game content. Whereas TD1 was set in a world destroyed, doing an amazing job in taking you along in that atmosphere, TD2 feels like a world that’s trying it’s best to rebuilt itself.

No longer are you surviving, you are thriving.

This makes sense lore-wise, and although the story didn’t ever really catch me since there’s no real sense of urgency or threats, the game starts to shine when you finish the story and get to level 40. It’s like you actually get to start playing the game then. The game, and the grind.

A proper experience will look something like this:
Finish the main campaign by yourself, or with a committed friend. Matchmaking in basic story missions does not deliver you any teammates, however if you call for backup after going down there’s a big chance someone will show up. After that, do the DLC’s (yes, you will want to buy the ultimate edition. It’s €12 on sale and it’ll give you many hours of content as well as enough premium tokens to buy the battlepass)

Alternatively, you can hop into end-game content straight after hitting level 40, however because the DLC can be quite easy with a good build I’d recommend doing the DLC.

You’ll probably look up some youtube video’s and find that you should try Countdown to try and get your first proper DPS build going. People will mention expertise, specializations, optimizing, reconfiguring, retaliations, raids and all sorts of other things you’ve never come across before. You’ll likely be overwhelmed, not knowing what to do and maybe even being scared to do the wrong thing or getting a FOMO feeling thinking “am I playing this game the right way?”. You are. There’s a learning curve to end game content. Just enjoy what you’re doing, keep on the grind and you’ll find so much content to enjoy that you’ll pick up all mechanics along the way. This game has something for everyone.

At the price of €12 for base game + all DLC, it’s a true steal. Get it, hop on in and you’ll love it. There’s plenty players on endgame, so you’ll always have people to play more difficult game modes with.

In short, this is still pretty fun despite being cheesy, repetitive and generic.

The things that sell it are the gunplay, the looter shooter aspect, the map is gorgeous and the AI is surprisingly clever.

The plot is dumb action movie with American hollywood logic about the break down of society.

It's especially amusing when told to go to the "DOJ" to get some files or something, I did smirk. It's kinda funnier when you play in the context of post Epstein.

I got it on sale, I wouldn't pay full price. Its usual Ubi open world formula but in this game it kind of works. Worth a buy on sale.

I recently bought this on steam for 9 Euros. I already owned the game on the Ubisoft launcher, but this come with the DLC, which I did not own on the Ubisoft version. On my old character it says I have 3 days and around 13 hours played, so I have played this game a lot in the past and I remember I really liked it. I played it when it first come out and did all the content possible and farmed for the weapons etc that I wanted. I just could not do the raid as there was no matchmaking back then for it.
Playing it through again now I still really like it, except now there is even more to do that before.

I like the game. Played it a bunch before it came to steam, got the base game on steam so I can just take advantage of deep sales.

I hate it's technical issues though. So negative review cause it annoys me that much.

Stutters are prevalent no matter what is going on. They are unsolvable, they either happen or they don't, you can't fix it, you will just randomly get lucky and they won't plague one of your game sessions, but you'll think you fixed it only for it to come back. This makes playing the game less fun as you will get intermitten stutters.

Bizarre aimbug that happens where your mouse input will randomly snap to angles, mostly directly up. This is not my hardware or anything and it has happened to my friends as well, it's the game.

Your framerate will degrade and be unrecoverable when adjusting settings, you have to then restart to get your frames back with the new settings. Very annnoying.
Ubisoft Connect makes dealing with all these issues more annoying.

Also just fomo cosmetics are dumb, but that's just modern slop gaming. Like there's some stuff I wanted, but it's not available anymore so... that's cool.

Currently as of writing this comment, I can't log in to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Ubisoft Connect ♥♥♥♥ because my account got suspended due to "multiple failed login attempts" even though I just made the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ account.
I've already waited 24 hours and it still didn't work, made another account and it didn't work, so I guess I'll wait 48 hours to make sure this time.

I'll change this review once I get to actually play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game because I'm sure it's good, but for now I just want to express how much I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate Ubisoft and their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass account system. God I hope it actually works 2 days later or I'm refunding this ♥♥♥♥ and never touching a Ubisoft game again.

TL;DR, if you haven't made a Ubisoft account prior to getting this game, expect some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that prevents you from playing the game you paid for.

I started this on PS5 and then got it again recently on PC. I will say the game is fun enough that I grinded to get to level 40 again from scratch vs using the booster. I did a little of the beta Realism mode and it was definitely a challenge I hope to explore more of.

People are getting back into this. All-in-all IMO it's s fun game to hop on and chill with the homies while you take back the city.

❗️To those new agent like me using Steamdeck or other steamos handheld. ❗️
If you stuck by pop-up says "Ubi connect is needed" error, change your proton to "experimental", it will get you pass the errors.
After you login successfully,you can either keep using proton experimental or using other proton like Ge-proton 10-3x.
The error won't show up anymore.
The game runs smoothly on AMD z1e legion, you can set amost everything on medium. High settings need the lossless duck 2x to get 60 fps.

Нормальная стрелялка в очень симпатичных декорациях. Типичный юбисофтовский открытый мир, в котором развлечение игрока - дело самого игрока. Интерфейс перегружен настолько, что нет никакого желания вникать во всю прокачку и все эти осточертевшие крафты. Благо без этого тут можно нормально существовать. Отдельный плюс за образцовую локализацию.

I'm so glad I opened steam today to see this game on sale. I have a few hundreds of hours on uplay so at this point, it's basically a collector's item.
I love almost everything about this game. The level design, the sound, the idea behind and of course ISAC, that inspired me to make my own using voice cloning AI.
The only things I somehow hate about it are the limited stash that turns me nuts (Too many builds, too many choices, too little space) and the dark zone that now days it's quite imposible to visit solo.

I wish we had the survival mode from Division implemented here. In rest, it's a great game!
PS: Ubi, please don't axe this game! It's one of the masterpiece games that made you who you are.

Dieses Spiel sollte unbenannt werden in Gaza Streifen Simulator. Ich und meine Kollege wollen einen Stützpunkt einnehmen und nicht ein Gegner trug eine Waffe. Es fühlte sich mehr an wie eine Klapsmühle in der die Zwangsjacken mit Bombengürteln ersetzt wurden.

Kurz nach dem ich von einem Mann, der nach ca. 50 Schuss eines Exotischen Sturmgewehres nicht gestorben ist, in die Luft gejagt wurde erlebte ich wie ein ein anderer Gegner mit seinem Flammenwerfer einmal quer üben den ganzen Äquator geschossen hat. Kurz darauf als ich wiederbelebt wurde begrüßte mich der nächste Bombengürtel und schickte mich wieder ins Jenseits.

Aber als wäre das genug schien ein weiterer Gegner sich Raketen und Mörser Raketen aus dem Arsch zu ziehen und verwandelte den Rest des Geländes in ein Glücksspiel ob man noch Atmen darf oder nicht.

Nach dem dritten Versuch und einigen bombastischen Erlebnissen später entschied ich mich das ganze ruhen zu lassen um selber nicht zum Kriegsverbrecher zu werden. Tendenziell würde ich dieses Spiel Menschen ruhigerer Natur ans Herz legen, da das Spiel einen nicht nur den Wunsch verspüren lässt seine Wut am nächsten Nachbarn aus zu lassen sondern man auch anfängt sich darüber Gedanken zu machen auf welcher Art und weise man Ubisoft seinen Frust mitteilen kann und gleichzeitig eine Anleitung für eine Bombe erhalten kann.

Das Spielt passt stand 25.03.2026 sehr gut zu den Aktuellen Ereignissen in der Welt und man merkt das Ubisoft sich hier sehr am Konflikt im Mittleren Osten hat inspirieren lassen. Weniger Waffen und mehr Sprengstoff. Ist man Teil eines Bombenentschärfungs Team dient dieses Spiel vermutlich gut zur Entensibilisierung

Alternativ auch stark inspiriert hat sich Ubisoft auch am Ukraine Konflikt. In manchen stellen des Spiels stellt man doch fest das Drohnen nicht nur zum Fotos machen von der Sexy Nachbarin zu gebrauchen ist. Sondern auch um Menschen das leben zu erschweren. Unrealistisch ist allerdings das ein Mensch 3 Drohnen gleichzeitig in mein Arschloch manövrieren kann. Und steckt erstmal eine Drohne in meinen Arsch. Greift der Gegner in seine Temu Tasche und holt gleich die nächste Drohne die eine stark unrealistische Menge an Sprengstoff trägt. Die Menge ist beinahe so unglaubwürdig wie wenn ich versuche jemanden nach einem 24 Stunden Marathon in diesem Spiel zu verkaufen das ich noch einen Willen zum leben habe.

Für Menschen die glücklich mit Ihrem leben sind und zu Aggressionen neigen nicht zu empfehlen.

Ubislop stinker like any other, don't get fooled that this game is somehow different from the rest of the garbage these incompetent tards make. I was surprised how much this game looks and feels like their every other game. There is a reason Ubislop is on the verge of bankruptcy.

I naively though that getting a game that is one of the better received and praised games from Ubislop for 3 euros would provide good value and decent amount of fun and after few hours after the fun would run out Id just move on. But the fun never ran out because it never started. From the first few minutes I started noticing everything that made me fatigued from all the other Ubislop games I played, and it felt like I was playing Breakpoint, Far Cry, Assassins Creed and For Honor at the same time. It starts with their stupid launcher being forced down your throat, then you open the game and immediately get spammed by promotions for the countless microtransactions, then you play the game and get constant pop ups explaining basic mechanics like its your first time using a computer, after 10 minutes you are absolutely burnt out on the uninspired and mediocre combat, enemies divided into several enemy types which at this point has been overdone to death by Ubislop, the same dumb friendly NPC that randomly stand/walk around, randomly repeating 5 lines they know until they see an enemy and start fighting them (like in every Far Cry game since 3), the environment that may have lots of detail in this game but lacks good level design, any depth or any interaction whatsoever, the mf collectibles that are in every Ubislop game (and honestly because of Ubislop I absolutely despise collectibles), the same washed out graphics with the same color palette that Ubislop slaps on top of all their games, the same corridors that lead to small arenas that spam several waves of enemies before you can move on.

We have all seen and experienced everything this game has to offer before. There is nothin original, nothing new, nothing interesting. This game is so painfully mediocre and boring its honestly not even worth it at mere 3 bucks.

Jeśli ktoś szuka spokojnego looter shootera, bez spin i stresu z gier typu CS czy Valorant to jest to póki co najlepsza w jaką grałem. Udźwiękowienie na wysokim poziomie i naprawdę zadowalające, sama mechanika strzelania jest dość uproszczona, więc nie trzeba się spinać co do trenowania po godzinach. Co do grafiki subiektywnie jest dobra, nie przeszkadza we wciągnięciu się. Ubawiła mnie solo jak i w coopie, fajnie się lata po tych mapach i czyści lokacje, oczywiście część może się stać powtarzalna, co nie zmienia faktu że progresja w tej grze istnieje i w toku rozgrywki zmieniają się a to rodzaje przeciwników, naszych broni, dodatków, mocy etc, więc jeśli się ktoś nudzi to zawsze może zmienić taktykę. Jedynym minusem jaki zauważyłem po tych 10 godzinach jest to że odbijając jakiś punkt czy robiąc misję poboczną jeden przeciwnik pójdzie gdzieś w pizdu daleko i trzeba go szukać bo misji nie pociągniesz do przodu. Dodatki typowego Ubisofta istnieją, natomiast jak za grę na promce za dyszkę naprawdę nie ma co narzekać i polecam.

The Division 2 — це гра, яка в першу чергу про геймплей, а не про історію. Тут ти постійно стріляєш, ховаєшся за укриттями, прокачуєш персонажа і шукаєш кращу зброю та спорядження. І саме це зроблено дуже добре — стрільба відчувається приємно, а бої досить напружені.

Світ виглядає живим і деталізованим, хоча й зруйнованим. Досліджувати локації цікаво, але з часом починаєш помічати, що місії стають схожими одна на одну. Через це гра може трохи набридати, особливо якщо грати довго самому.

Сюжет тут є, але він не сильно чіпляє — більше служить фоном для того, що відбувається. Зате в кооперативі гра розкривається значно краще: разом проходити місії цікавіше і динамічніше.

У підсумку, це хороша гра для тих, хто любить постійний рух і прокачку, але якщо ти шукаєш сильну історію — тут її не вистачає.

The game is good, i prefer the first much more but is good at least for the sale price that i buy it, if i paid the full price the review I would be more negative.

The game don't have the same atmosphere or the "good enough" history as the first but the core games is the same.

Personally i found that the weapons are somehow a bit unbalanced

Hab mir das Spiel für 3€ geholt. Ich weis nicht so recht. Ich hab das Gefühl das ein sehr einfaches Spiel gebaut wurde, was komplex zu bedienen ist. Besser wäre es gewesen ein komplexes Spiel zu bauen was einfach zu bedienen ist. Leider nichts für mich. Schade.

Okay so I'm a new 2026 player and I love this game. This will be a very long review. Remember that this is based on my personal experience.

The Division 2 Review:

> Gameplay - Very great action pack shooter combat. Love the rpg elements and the movement (similar to days gone). Cool minimalist UI. Lot of things to do and engaging. Intuitive things to explore. Great progression system, The world difficulty is shocking at first, but once you know builds it becomes a bit reasonable.

> RPG Elements - I love that there are many weapons and sets and builds with different passives that suits our game style. Then there's the idea of tinkering station and proficiency, basically "crafting station" and "equipment mastery" . Notably an MMORPG game "ESO" that has it (but you have to acquire blueprints by playing more).

> Environment - Post apocalyptic. Almost everything is architecturally detailed in scale and proportions, beautiful graphics and textures, great interior furniture layouts, landscape and schemes. Superb lighting, sunrays. The world's structure is a masterpiece. Very immersive, not only with those, but also environmental physics, dynamic prop interactions. Cars have different plate numbers. Animals ambience around the world. You have to, at least experience slowly every inch of the world by walking and pay attention to details, the amount of it is crazy. Weather change supports the environment. Whenever rain comes, there's a thunderstorm and clouds coming, becomes foggy. It'd be cooler if it affect the enemy vision.

> Lore - Very cool. Things related to lore scattered around the world has a short summary sentence. The dialogues are well spoken and well toned (intonation). Can dig more on the existing "codex". Main stories are great as well, with a very detailed specific environment. Small things put into matter.

> NPC - Different types of community and enemies. Similar to post-apocalypse era, where there are bandits, anarchs, militant. Their dialogues and activities are dynamic, vast and immersive. War and fights in-game between the communities makes it vary and lively.

> Sound & Music - Superb. Realistic ambience. The sound of weather, animals, flies, birds. Though I'm not sure with the water. There are very great songs in safehouse radio, gives fallout vibes, When in the open world map, it's more like "Skyrim". You walk, music will play. When in combat, it will change to according with the ambience. It's well arranged. Wishing for more blood-pumping music like "rotary balcony", "Kajika", etc. Love the music.

Already always at "Heroic" world difficulty with 3 directives always active.

I've played around 163 hrs before touching the DLC (Warlord of New Yorks Expansion), and I can't stop playing. Talk about the base game part (Washington DC), once I've mainly cleared the game, the flow became more tense because I tried to learn the game myself (without watching build guides in YouTube, because for me, that's the fun part!) and see other players gameplay through matchmaking. It felt like I've finished a marathon, proudly, and then practice much more by pushing myself even though it felt repetitive, but enjoyable.

I kept grinding for better equipments, so I can build all specialization loadouts. Like "ESO" (mmorpg) with it having so many sets, we can use any build however we like that suits our gameplay. We have options on how to play with our build, and it can play a role best in a group / party. Specializations here are like, if a dnd fantasy party has a tank, dps, and support, but it's close to the real world tactical gun combat. And rather locked between 6 specializations, all of them can either be a tank, a dps, or a support. Play however we like. Equipment here is limited with either "weapons damage", "armor", or "skill tier", as you can't have all of them to be overpowered.

After I'm done with all of my favorite builds for each specializations, I started to play the NY Expansion, and it felt like I'm running a new different marathon race. Like a refresh.

Current critiques, flaws, suggestion & feedback that I personally note;

> Friendly combatant NPC AI sometimes are bad. It'd be cooler if they have "classes" (like enemy's elite force) that's more unique to gears and details. I wish for more interactive and more variety NPC activities to make the in-game more immersive. (In WONY, NPC sometimes interact with dogs it's wholesome for a first experience).

> The game primarily use hit-scan mechanics which feels weird and as a sharpshooter main, sometimes I keep firing with bullet physics understanding. But I can accept for any reasons and adapt.

> Sometimes the ambience change drastically, like changing a filter of a picture.

> Sometimes, it's hard to navigate path lines, (more like buggy). For me, "Peace Front East". But not once you know the area.

> My first walkthrough was accidentally boosted to New York. I'd suggest to give multiple "warning" pop-up for it.

> In the open world schemes, NPC dialogues in world sometimes cut.

> Bulk donate in control points.

> Option in setting to "click" instead of "hold" for tinkering equipments, and maybe a mark for "owned in stash" because I'm collecting favorite named items, weapons, gearsets, and brandsets. (I fixed this by personally have a tracker in a sheet).

> The expertise system would be great to "Sort by :Inventory owned". But "Donate All Junk" is superior, once you've finished collecting items.

> I couldn't understand weak point of robotics (black tusk). I suppose it would be great for such information to be provided on the "database" collectibles (codex).

> More breakable lights because they are too bright in some occasions.

> All the specialization weapons are good, but as a sharpshooter main, TAC-50 would've been best if it has high armor penetration, since MR / Rifle weapons can't easily destroy helmets.

> Add timestamp on chat so we can see log of whenever players are chatting / recruiting.

> There is a bug when I change between loadouts, my character will hold pistol both arms are not in correct position. Left arm is gone.

> P-017 Launcher tembak muter2?

> Enemy bullet sometimes went through objects like trees. (specifically, in Kajika's story mission, ODER Electronics)

> Move all unequipped favorite items to stash button.

> Bug when doing specialization field research and started WONY, it cannot be "tracked on screen".

> Sometimes the global directive are buggy. Scavenged skills doesn't stack for artillery turret. Armor kit doesn't remove broken stack.

As a live service game, it's very good. But to compare with the best live service games, No Mans Sky, Enshrouded Warframe, and some others, they are basically one-time purchase (except warframe) with occasionally gives updates for free. While The Division have worthy contents of DLCs to buy. I'd prefer one-time purchase system, and more devs taking examples for the monetization system from whom I mentioned, as I personally think it can give higher player base and make players willingly put money into it. Just a bit sharing, I'm from Southeast Asia and in my country, it's not a nourishing one about money, but with reasonable pricing and a best live service I will invest to make it a two ways communication between me and the game. Most money I have put into is Warframe. While so, The Division is very generous about the reward systems. And with the current sale pricing, it's more than enough worth.

Lastly, kudos for the current condition of the game.

NB: As a southeast asian, I feel like I'm travelling to US through the game. Personally, it's just mind blowing.

There could be more of the review since I haven't played Brooklyn, but I think I'll put it later on.

TLDR; 10/10 game.
