This is the best pirate games I have ever played. The only problem of this game is the developers do not care about the players opinion and the anticheat is terrible. But the game is fantastic, the graphics are fabulous, the water physics are the best out of any game, you can buy it whenever its on sale. Honestly the gameplay itself is very good and the various stories are very cool. Overall 9/10 game for me. Its good for chilling with friends aswell.

I played this when it came out it was incredibly simple and fun. Today I can't even play with my friend, I am FORCED to play a tutorial which I refuse to do so, becauze I don't want to be stuck in gameplay preventing me from my right for a refund. MICROSOFT RUINED THIS GAME

Sea of Thieves is a fantastic game: fun, colorful, and full of great mechanics and co-op moments.
My main reason for stopping is the complete lack of official VR support (this game would be perfect in VR). What makes it worse is that trying VR through third-party tools/injectors (like VorpX/VR injectors) can put your account at risk because anti-cheat / rules may treat it as tampering — even if you’re not trying to cheat, just to play differently.
I’d also love an optional third-person camera mode. I understand the fairness/PvP concerns, but even a limited option (private servers / accessibility setting / non-competitive mode) would be great. Other games have managed to offer more flexible camera options (for example, ARC Raiders), and there’s nothing “criminal” about it — it’s just player choice.
I understand security and design constraints, but I’d really like to see some supported direction on VR and camera options. I’ll gladly come back if anything changes.

Man, I love this game. I've been playing for a little while and I find myself constantly coming back to it. If you play this game with a friend or several (like me), I think you will have a very good time... or a bad one if your friends keep doing stupid ♥♥♥♥ like leaving the sails down and anchor down which at tomes made me want to eat shards of glass. But overall, this ♥♥♥♥ is gas.

Ein Tolles Spiel. Man kann viel entdecken und machen. Durch die regelmäßigen Updates und Seasons bekommt man immer mehr Gameplay. Ich spiele es gerne und kann es nur empfehlen. Auch wenn einige Spieler etwas unhöflich sind. Aber das wird durch viele Menschen die super freundlich und Hilfs bereit sind gut gemacht. Alles im allen ich Liebe das Game und Spiele es sehr gerne.

I could go on a multi-paragraph rant about how much Rare sucks as a company and how they've completely ruined this game.
But if I'm being honest, what's the point? We all know what's wrong with this game right now, and I don't think things are going to get better.
This used to be one of my favorite games, but constant greed, empty promises, and player-hostile decisions have completely destroyed it.

I have over 170 hours on xbox but switched to pc a few days ago but in my experience this game is really fun and chaotic. Chaotic may sound bad but its chaotic in a fun way, shooting yourself out of a cannon, firing firebombs at skeleton ships and other peoples ships is really fun. I highly recommend playing this because its funny to accidently leave a banana on a stove and set your ship on fire lol, but in all seriousness this game is fun and i do recommend you play it, even if its buggy you can get a refund. This game can and probably will make you ragequit so be warned, but i hope you enjoy this game, the tutorial is boring and starting the game with no gold, doubloons or ancient coins is annoying but thats why you need to be a pirate, to get loot and plunder sea forts and kill skeleton captains for their heads for money and doing voyages.

You guys keep adding ♥♥♥♥ no one asked for and - lmfao idk if that's the worst part but honestly you lots take the piss with these updates. Removing sea dogs was really really stupid. I also wont forget the hacking issues of 2024. Now days I just find this game doesn't hit like it used too for me. There was a magic about the game before and I feel a lot of the updates have in an attempt of giving the game a new breath of life taken away from what it used to be. I don't want to not recommend this game as I have got a lot of my friends into SOT over the years. It's a weird one for me.
I am about 75 days in game on Xbox and just recently picked it back up on PC.
This game got me through some pretty hard times. The sheer volume of missions and achievements to work through gave me something to focus on.
I love the campy graphics, the mixture of PVE and PVP, and the variety that the game brings.
I'm a little rusty after switching from Xbox but I absolutely recommend it for anyone from novice to more intense gamers.

Снова я появился, поплыл дальше, и потом я попал в шторм, за мной увязалась огненная акула. Затем я чуть не потонул (я ее не убил, а уплыл от неё). Я поплыл дальше — за мной увязались скелеты, я и от них уплыл. В конце меня потопил галеон :) 10 галеонов из 10.

К нам приплыли типы которые разговаривали на ломаном английском, я еле как вкурил че они от нас хотели. Они хотел обменять сундук сирены на припасы, я сказал подождите одну минуту. Мы из другом обговорили и решили отдать сундук по доброй воле потому что у них был ключ от него, они его открыли и положили череп возле носа корабля. Они нам дали ящик припасов и благодорили за обмен, и когда мы начали прощятся, они отвернулись к моему другу и я благополучно спиздил этот череп и прыгнул в воду по пути говоря: Thanks for the supplies, good luck(Спасибо за припасы, удачи), они не заметили сначала пропажу, а когда заметили начали плыть на остров где получили ключ. Этот череп стоил 50к. рекомендую 👍
