По сути это копия оригинальной Pretty Girls Battle, только с «школьницами». Геймплей тот же самый - обычный риичи-маджонг против ИИ. Проблемы тоже остались: нет обучения, интерфейс неудобный, разблокировка персонажей слишком затянута.
Если уже знаете правила, поиграть можно, но ничего нового эта версия не предлагает.

OMG! The last time I played this game was on 07.10.2015! And I still have no idea how to play it LMAO

EDIT (31.03.2024): After 9 years, finally, a few days ago I started learning Riichi Mahjong and playing this game. I still don't know very much lol.

EDIT (23.07.2024): Redownloaded just to complete all the girls' challenges, and what I saw is too cruel... The game DOESN'T SAVE YOUR DATA ON CLOUD, nothing, not challenges, not records, not stats, NOTHING, so be careful before buying this, if you are an avid statistics fan like me! Luckily, I always save my stats manually either on my PC or virtually.

日麻，初级入门最简单要诀是，断幺九（幺能不留就不留），不吃不碰（只为了立直）。至少点炮几率很少。大多情况下是刘局，和了就是大的，手里在有几张宝牌，基本上就是满贯。

Why do the scroll bars in the menus work backwards!? Is that how menus work in Japan?

It needs a proper tutorial. I'm normally against hand holding in games, but I don't wan't to have to read a book before I can play something like this.

It may not be the most polished nor intuitive mahjong game on steam. It may not even teach you as it should, not have intuitive options for cusomizable plays. The girl's design may be a bit rubbish. But it's still mostly the only real mohjong game, on Steam if we exclusde those not real mahjong games that are solitary mahjong.

The game is good Mahjong fun but only if you are able or willing to learn how to play Mahjong with other people you play against the machine meaning pc but it definitely is not a solitare Mahjong version be willing to have a traditional Mahjong with 4 players. First of all this is japanese mahjong.

If you know the rule and you know how to play this game is simple and not bad to play with so don't listen to those annoying people told you in the review change your mind I'm already play mahjong in real world so many time and this game is quite enjoyable as long as you don't think that all those bot is lucky bastard cheating you to draw all Doras(ฺBonus tile) and win all the time becuase if you experienced mahjong in real life you'll probably know that sometime you got a very bad day for playing it.

And yes I'm not recommend this game for beginner as many those annoyer told you this game is poorly translate and too much for a click but believe me it's pretty easy if you know what tile and win condition and special win conditions such as kokushi musou(thirteen orphans),Chiitoi(seven pairs) or nagashi mangan that actually some beginner won't know it is win condition when about do it first time.

Experienced mahjong players should be fine.

美少女+日本麻将
可玩性方面其实也就那样了，真要喜欢麻将的QQ游戏比这更适合
有好多角色需要场数解锁，但角色立绘不算很多，想要全解锁的在设置里把round数下调，这样可以更快一些
没有自带的steam成就，常常有90%+off，买回来挂卡，徽章也挺养眼的

TLDR: Thin experience, unsatisfying on both the mahjong and fan service sides.

This uses a combat version of mahjong where you can repick tiles and build a board, presumably with something to do with picture matching. Not sure if you match yourself or opponents and I am not too interested to find out. This suffers from the same lack of polish, lack of fan service and overall value that you can find in the Poker version of the game which I found more intuitive and engaging than this and that game got removed for declutter as well.

If my time in this game doesn't speak for itself then let me convince you to get this game.
The Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle games is the only riichi mahjong available on Steam. Initially I was repulsed by the nsfw theme, the characters have diverse personalities and looks that oddly start to grow on you.
Although I do reccomend you get this game, THIS GAME IS NOT SUITIBLE FOR BEGINNERS.
The game does not do much explaining on rules and is way too difficult for beginners.
If you are confident in your skill then I reccomend getting the normal pretty girl mahjong game as that one is slightly easier then work up to this one.
I do mahjong irl and this game is an amazing way to practice and I have seen a lot of improvement in my playing.
TL;Dr It's a great basic riichi mahjong game but I do not reccomend it for people that are looking to learn as it offers no explaination or skill build up.

So... This is the Schoolgirl edition of their Mahjong Battle Game. However, I can only recommend it to those who know what the heck they are doing. Unlike some of their other games, the instructions are... not clear. So while I was getting trios and other matches to other players' tiles... I still was losing badly... all the time.

So... cannot recommend this for the casual player...

I will probably run up my playtime on both, though... May as well get the darn trading cards...

Dear Indie Developers,

Please create and release an English-language multiplayer mahjong game that I can play with my family. I'm disappointed this is currently my only option on Steam.

That being said, this seems to be an alright mahjong game, and the anime ladies are more of a window dressing than all up in your face.

I absolutely wouldn't pay full price for this game, but at the $1.50 I did buy it for, I can reccommend it.

1.畫面粗糙我不想多講，其他人講過了
2.裡面有人人物要拿到100次第一名才能解鎖，靠運氣的遊戲要拿到100次第一？
我們先算算機率，每局4人，所以拿第一的機率是1/4，平均400局可以拿到100次第一，而每局至少10分鐘
也就是說你要花4000分才能解鎖，相當於70小時左右了
3.承2.如果這是一款普通的麻將遊戲，當作消遣，有空就摸摸，遊戲長度我沒意見
可是這是一款萌少女賣肉遊戲啊，你要我為了這個圖片花這麼多時間實在說不過去了，重點是CG還不怎麼樣
4.如果還能退費我會去退，即便這是特價買的我也會退

The same deal as the previous one. Only really good if you already know how to play. If you do it’s good, if not… go learn before.
I for one will keep buying these mahjong games to support the existence of non-solitaire mahjong. We need more of these games.
Maybe one day we’ll even get one in English with lobby and only game… I would like that, except if it was with the US rules, those are really dumb.
Over all a pretty good Riichi Mahjong with an AI that’s no slacker, get good or go home.

ごく普通の麻雀ゲーム…であるはずだが難易度選択がないため麻雀の麻の字も知らない入門者にはとてもではないがお勧めできない。
上がり方や役を覚え始めた初心者にとっては敵の上がりの速さに苦戦を強いられることは間違いない。
麻雀がそれなりにできる人でかつ女キャラで対決したいという人にお勧め
幸いにも音声字幕共に日本語であるため英語のタイトル名からやや予想が出来ないほど綺麗な女性キャラ達を使った麻雀を楽しめる。
しかし初期の4人を除き新しいキャラクターを出すには特定のキャラクターで1位を複数回取ることを迫られるなどかなり時間がかかる。
暇潰し程度にプレイするのがちょうど良いのかもしれない。

It's the best Richii Mahjong game your going to find on steam. Not exactly the high bar as it's the only Richii Mahjong game on steam. It is just a reskin of Zoo's mobile game Mahjong Nagomi. This game will not teach you how to play Richii but if you already know how to play or are willing to put some outside work it's totally playable. I recommend the mobile game more but if you see this game on sale and want a PC version in English it's fine. There are much better Mahjong games but for one that is in English this is one of your few choices.

Well.. not much difference compare to Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle.

This one is using school girls and lady teachers as opponents so the voice is cuter...

same type of graphics.. same sound effect... same player AI.. and even the same character unlocking steps.

Again.. this game don't have steam achievement but it got ingame achievements and you need to win 100 games or so to unlock all characters. After playing and spending an entire afternoon I was able to unlock half of them..

Game rule is japanese mahjong. So you will do well if you learn about it first before trying to play this.

6.5/10.. no plot.. and not enough research material .. just plain mahjong fun.

I guess the major point of the game is the amount of girls and their looks. But, even though that, this game actually plays surprisingly well.

You will need to know what to do, you need to know how to play Mahjong, to play this, but it actually does a pretty good job of monitoring the outcomes. It also helps you a lot, indicating when you can win and also pausing the game when a tile is played, something that does not occur in a normal game. So, the game actually makes it pretty easy for you.
Yet, the ai seems pretty strong sometimes, they can make some pretty good plays, finishing the game quick. You actually have to be careful.

From this game and the "normal edition", I guess, there is no difference at all. So you shouldn't, probably, buy both. Well, I don't actually recommend you to buy any, since I think that this game lacks a lot of content for its price. But, if you must play a good game of mahjong (only with AI), you may consider this...

I installed it mainly for idling the cards but I've checked if there was something new compared to Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle. Apart the blue HUD and the fact that the girl are now with school uniforms, nothing really changed.

If anything, everything written for the other game stands:

I love mahjong since I was a kid. However, I wasn't aware that two versions existed: the solitaire one, which is the version I love, and a sort of poker one, which I don't understand anything despite trying to decypher the rules in the help of the game.

True, I could have searched elsewhere but for me, the version presented here isn't interesting me. My brain isn't really strategy-oriented, which is why you don't ask me to play poker or other cards games if you're more interested by winning than to pass a good moment.

Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle could have been a good game for me if the rules were clear (they're not well translated) and if there was a real tutorial included. However, I ended up to play by instinct, which reserved sometimes a good suprise but almost all the time, I got defeated by the AI.

I suppose that for anyone used to this version of mahjong, the game is very enjoyable, though your only real visual is a board with the tiles. However, the characters are girls drawed for fanservice: some have big breasts (not really realistic), others are normal.

Besides, the soundtrack isn't remarkable but after a while, you'll get used to girls screaming because they have a winning move and you don't understand how they arrived to that.

My hours ingame reflect mainly idling for cards, but I've giving up pretty quickly to try to understand the rules. I'm pretty happy with my solitaire version, which isn't requiring to plan carefully your next move (well, yeah, you have sometimes to plan carefully your move but you don't have adversaries in front of you, ready to take advantage of your discarded tile).

You understand: the game is only reserved for those that understand the rules and that enjoys new costumes. However, while I thumbed up the other one, this game was a sequel, with nothing new and sold at 15 bucks, I can't thumb up this one for that. Besides, they're honest, they're announcing that: *This game is character replaced version of "Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle".

推荐打折买不推荐玩
缺点：
1.每个语音不超过3句（笑起来像吃错药），立绘不超过2幅。没18X更别说爆衣，赢多少局也没有。
2.AI纸张，全求人吃碰了一看像混一色的牌，最后大吊车了一张索子。
3.立直、吃碰、和牌的动画不能跳过，回头想看别人的副露还要扒拉一下桌子。
4.你都1280p了，牌山没有，看别人的副露还要扒拉一下桌子。
5.任何时候，不知道怎么就扒拉到桌子上了，画面来回闪。
6.作为一个纸张AI麻将一般都用比较爽的牌或者能力可以弥补一下给你点错觉，然而没有。
6续.比如好不容易小四喜字一色听牌被断幺。
7.点数需要扒拉左上角才能看见，需退出点数才能继续打牌，不能永久显示。
8.看不出摸切，扒拉桌子也不好使。
9.局中只能中断，不能sl，没联机模式，役种记录里的一票役都没法演。
10.和了结算前本场数迷之看不见。分数结算没有符数显示。
11.除非立直，没有自动摸切选项。
12.游戏内帮助没有役种表，对新手比较不友好。
总而言之，感觉上有点鸟笼的影子，最大提供1280p的分辨率却做出了手游一样的布局，比如扒拉桌子。
优点：
1.普通版校园版两个游戏，打折的时候都卖4块钱，还掉卡，卡每张能卖9毛，可以掉5张。
2.立绘奶子都很大。
挂完卡我就删游戏，这波不亏。

First off, let's be frank here: MPGB:SGE is badly translated. The team seems to have done a middling job at best of adapting the game for English audiences, and it shows. There's not a lot as far as... well, anything to make the game accessible, and there's really no reason for the 'girls' to be there, aside from generic player stand-ins.

As far as being a mahjong game, it's actually pretty decent. The AI isn't bad, and the gameplay is smooth - again, for people that already know how the game is played. But really, I'd have killed for a tutorial and (dare I dream?) story mode to bring more people into the game.

-Good control scheme

CONS:
-'MEH' everything else.
-Terrible translation.

OVERALL: 3/10. Not recommended - and the worst part is that I could see how it COULD have been good.

The very first thing that should be iterated about this game is that it is by NO MEANS a good way to learn how to play Riichi Mahjong at all. Don't buy this expecting it to include a tutorial on how to play; the only "help" it includes is a quick reference to what buttons do what when pressed. This game is basically your standard, low-budget, offline Mahjong software that's pretty common in Japan. As such, it's marketed towards a demographic which is already, at the very least, passingly familiar with the game and how it's played. The translation was likely done via google translate in an attempt to make more sales by cashing in on a Western audience who might've watched Akagi or Saki and thought "man, I have no idea what the ♥♥♥♥ is going on but this looks really cool! I want in!" In that respect, it would seem that the developers were pretty successful in their endeavour, much to the buyers' dismay.

That being said, the game itself is solid as far as Mahjong software goes. It looks to be an almost straight-port of "Nagomi Mahjong" on Android, which as far as mobile Mahjong apps go, was one of the better ones. The gameplay itself is fine: it's responsive and all the yaku work (from what I've seen), which is pretty much all you can ask of a Mahjong game. It a fairly extensive set of customizable rules, and also includes gameplay statistics so you can track your performance over all your games. The only real gripes I have with the gameplay are:
1). Making any call plays this slow animation that becomes gruesome to sit through if you're impatient like me, and there's no way to turn it off.
2). The camera only views part of the table, and calls made by the Shimocha and the Toimen are only viewable if you click and drag the camera to their side of the table.
Also, the AI is pretty poor, but that's pretty common across most offline Mahjong games, so I'll give it a pass here.

These problems pretty much mean that the game plays much slower than some of the alternatives out there. If your main concern about the game is speed, you may want to look elsewhere for your offline Mahjong fix. It should also be noted that, as I pointed out a bit earlier, the translation is basically a wholesale travesty. This hasn't bothered me in the slightest because I use the Japanese language setting, however, if you're going to play this, you might as well just use the Japanese setting to avoid the headache. Learning the Kanji for all the Yaku is extremely useful in the long run if you plan on playing a LOT of Japanese Mahjong anyways, and since the translations used for the Yaku in this game are, for the most part, unused anywhere else, even in the few cliques of Japanese Mahjong players that use English terminology exclusively, there's no point in bothering to use the English language setting.

There is, however, a few unique aspects to the game's rules customization that I was pleasantly surprised with:
1). 3 options for game length. Tonpuusen (East only), Hanchan (East-South), and a non-standard option that I've never seen anywhere else titled "Tonba Nikyoku" (East Round, Two games). I'd never play a two-game match competitively (standard rules are enough luck as they are), but with bots, it's a pretty fun option.
2). Starting points can be set to any interval of 1000 between 10,000 and 50,000. Most games I've encountered have only between 25,000-30,000 as starting points options. Combine this with Tonba Nikyoku to have what amounts to a sudden deathmatch! Anything higher than Mangan means death!
3). It has the really obscure Yaku that I believe originate as local rules in the Kansai region that most other Mahjong softwares don't employ. These include:
*Sanrenkou
*Suurenkou
*Daisharin
*Daichiisei
*Shiisanpu-tou (No Shiisuupu-tou, however) [had to use dashes in the romanization here, as part of the name was censored]
*Benikujaku (Ryuuiisou except with the Chun and the red Sou tiles, fairly obscure by most standard rulesets)

As a collector of obscure Mahjong software, these few quirks alone made it a worthy addition to my collection. That being said, for the average joe just looking for a good offline Mahjong application (if you can call that person an average joe, even), Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle will most likely not suit your taste. There are certainly better options out there in terms of speed and presentation, and I can only recommend this game if you want either a). Obscure local rules or b). Mediocre art of school girls with large chest things. I will, however, still give this game a positive review, as personally, not only did the obscure rules please my autism, but I made the money I spent on it ($1) back with the cards I got from the game, and I can use it as a timetrack for whenever I play Mahjong on SEGANet or Tenhou, so I can now advertise to all my steam friends how much of my life I waste playing Chinese dominos!

If you want my recommendation for a pretty good offline Mahjong application, Saikyo no Maajan 3D is great, has excellent rules customization (more extensive than this game in terms of normal rules, but doesn't have the same non-standard yaku, points distribution or round lengths), and has a good English translation available. AFAIK, it doesn't include a tutorial, so if you need a game to actually LEARN Japanese Mahjong, I'd recommend Gamedesign's flash game above all else, as it includes a fairly good tutorial and has all the Yaku listed on the same page as the game for ease of reference. This alone may not be enough grasp all the concepts of the game, and for someone really willing to take the deep-dive into the world of Japanese Mahjong, I recommend watching HanaYoriUta's 4-part Riichi Mahjong tutorial on YouTube. It is inarguably the definitive English tutorial on how to play Japanse Mahjong for someone who lacks any real knowledge of the game.

Nettes Spiel, wenn man Mahjong spielen möchte und keine 4 Leute zusammen bekommt. Die Runden gehen auch recht flott da man die künstliche Denkpause der KI abschalten kann und das ganze dann recht flott über die Bühne geht.

Man sollte übrigens zumindest die Grundliegenden japanischen Mahjong Regeln können, da es ingame keine Regelerklärungen gibt...

This game is not beginner friendly at all. If you do not know how to play mahjong, then do not even consider buying this game. The game does not provide any tutorials on how to play the game. It doesn’t even tell you what the goal of the game is, you are just expected to know it.

I cannot judge the game any further than this because I do not know how mahjong works. I expected the game to teach me since it was in English, but instead, I wasted my money.

東風戦だけでなく東二局終了にしたり、CPUウェイトを早くするなどできるおかげで一対戦を短い時間で終わらせられる。

ゲーム設定がそれほど多くない事（初期点、上がりやめ、西入、赤牌、食いタンと追加役）と、キャラクター解除条件が若干めんどくさい（○○を使って一意を○○回等）、そして出てくる女の子の多くが爆乳か爆乳を通り越して奇乳かと思わせる位乳が大きいことが難点（少数だけど貧乳もいるよ）

女の子が出てきてキャアキャアする麻雀ゲームに飢えているならばセールを狙って買うのがよいと思う。但しプレイしてみてコレジャナクテモイイ感を強く感じることになるだろう。

I wrote a review for this game initially, not sure what happened to it, but... round 2!

Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle gets a qualified thumbs up.

It's far from perfect, and in some aspects even a poor game.

For instance, the UI is a nightmare. Trying to get the game to display full screen in the settings was an excercise in clicking around where a button should be. The text simply does not fit the layout. Text is overlaying other text and design elements. You'll see that throughout the menus. Game localization from Japanese to English can be tricky. A concept that can be conveyed in one or two kana/kanji characters can require many times that for an English translation. However, this isn't something I'd expect to see in a modern PC game and it simply looks 'broken'.

Personally, I don't care much for some translation choices. It's a little odd to see the kana for 'kan', 'pon' and 'chi' translated into 'kong', 'pung' and 'chow'. Those are terms usually associated with Chinese Mahjong more than Riichi Mahjong. I'd also would prefer a romanization of the yaku, rather than a translation.

Many of the other reviewers have great points. The game does go a little slow (doesn't really bother me, but clearlyit bothers some). Also it's strange that despite thier being two table views in the options, neither shows the whole table. Meaning you have to pan around to see any melds you or your opponents have made.

All that being said, the game has some really nice features.

The options are robust and you can configure the rules however you like. If you are frustrated by the slow unlocking of other players, drop the number of rounds to 2.

A very welcome inclusion is the 'shimmering' effect on any bonus tiles you may have. That is actually invaluable if you're not used to figuring out which tile is the bonus tile, particularly for winds and dragons.

Furthermore, when you riichi, the game will highlight your possible discards. If you're like me and you get tunnel vision, or back into tenpai, Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle doesn't leave you hanging unti you choose the 'right' discard.

Additionally the game has a nice look. The comical breasts do nothing for me either way, but I can see how it'd be a problem for someone. And I certainly would be careful who I'd let me see play this, lest they get the wrong idea.

At the end of the day it's Riichi Mahjong. In English. If that's what you're looking for, then this is the only game in town. It's not getting a positive review simply because it's the only choice. The core is there. It won't teach you Riichi Mahjong, but it does hold your hand in a few key ways.

I'm personally happy the developer bothered to localize this, and genuinely hope they take another run at it. The base of Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle, plus some attention to it's shortcomings, could make a really great sequel.

Ce n'est pas un mauvais jeu mais les poitrines exagérées n'étaient pas nécessaires (même si on ne les voit que très rarement, seulement sur l'écran-titre et sur quelques rares dessins lorsque els joueurs effectuent des "coups spéciaux" comme "chi/pon/kan/riichi/ron/tsumo"), à la limite, j'aurai préféré ne pas avoir d'illustrations du tout, mais bon, j'imagine que c'était pour essayer d'être un peu plus vendeur pour un certain type de clients.

Le jeu souffre grandement d'un mode de jeu en ligne. Certains pourraient dire qu'il manque d'un tutoriel détaillée mais je ne le pense pas. Si un joueur en vient à se demander pourquoi sa main n'est pas gagnante alors qu'il croit avoir une main gagnante, c'est que sa connaissance des règles "riichi" n'est pas suffisante (et aurait besoin de chercher les termes "yaku" et "furiten" pour trouver sa réponse).

L'I.A. est plutôt forte, un peu trop même je pense.

Je l'ai acheté en promo à -90% et je pense que le jeu est un peu trop cher pour ce qu'il est à son prix de base (avec un mode de jeu en ligne, il vaudrait largement son prix de base) donc je recommenderai ne pas l'acheter à moins de -50% personnellement, mais après, c'est à vous de voir (sachant qu'il a l'air, de toute façon, souvent en promotion).

システム面しかレビューしてなかったので肝心の対局面について
（キャラ解放優先の為ルール設定は東風戦、個人的な設定で赤牌無し、喰いタン無しでのプレイ）
（麻雀歴5～6年ちょっと。最近リアル麻雀やる機会が無くほぼ麻雀ゲーム）

前述の通り、キャラ解放は特定のキャラで数回1位を取る・・・のですがこれがそう簡単に行きません
プレイ時間のかさ増しさせる為と思わせるぐらいCPUのアガリ率と妨害が多いです
オマケにCPUが親の時にそのCPUがアガると高い確率で連続でアガられます
オーラスは流局流れが無いのでずっと俺のターンをされる事も・・・
苦労してクリアした先にご褒美（イラスト、CG等）があれば負けがこんでも次こそはと思えるのですが現Verであるのはキャラ解放のみ
プレイを続けるには1位がなかなか取れなくても折れない心が必須です

あと何故現在の点棒は別画面で表示という仕様なのか、ダブルクリックで場を見渡す事が出来ますがそれなら何故1画面で全部表示させなかったのかが分からない
もしかしてスマホ向けに作ったものをPC向けに変更したのかな？

文句ばかり言いましたがキャラ絵は良いと思います。可愛い子は可愛いのにボイスの種類が少ないのが非常に惜しい
アップデートでボイス大幅追加、グラフィック追加がくれば評価が変わるかもしれません

Crap game.... I got it half discounted and still think payed too much.
It seems pretty much a bad made flash game. Don't expect much... actually.. don't expect NOTHING but play riichi mahjong in a deep blue background. You don't see the girls, you don't see NOTHING but the game table. The much you see the girls is a static .PNG when doing special moves. Te game ends at it start... with nothing happening.
I just keep it bcose always wanted to learn to play riichi mahjong. As very unique game avaliable in western (this and a more ♥♥♥♥♥♥ flash game that not works on internet) if you REALLY want play, it's your only chance but maybe you will regreat.

This is not, by any means, a beginner friendly game. If you wish to learn how to play mahjong, I recommend you find one of the many free flash games online. The AI is extremely aggressive and the learning curve is more like a learning overhang. I'm not the best Mahjong player by any means, but I know that someone of my skill level shouldn't be coming in 4th place with less than 10k points consistantly.

I bought this because I enjoy Mahjong, unfortunately this appears to be Japanese Mahjong and not the Chinese version I'm used to. The game isn't bad, but it's not what I expected.
The voice work is all in Japanese with no subtitles. There is no instructions, tutorial or guides. Basically if you don't know Riichi Mahjong, and aren't willing to go learn it elsewhere, you're out of luck. This game won't teach you or help you along the way. To unlock characters you need to win 1st place a lot. So expect to be stuck on the first four characters for a while. Fortunately you do get 2 unlocks just for playing (1st at 10 games, 2nd at 100).
I'd really like to recommend the game, it's well done and plays great. But because of the lack of teaching and lack of English, and since it's not the game version I hoped for, I cannot.

I can't say anything good or bad about the gameplay, because I have no clue how to play Mahjong. I can however say plenty of bad things about this game's total lack of a Mahjong tutorial. No matter how simple or complex a game is, it NEEDS to include instructions, because not everyone has played the game previously. Some games you can figure out how to play as you watch other people playing or by messing around with the game or checking out online tutorials, but Mahjong isn't one of those kinds of games. So, if you don't know how to play Mahjong, this isn't a game for you, even if you like anime-styled girls.

如果没记错，这款游戏是STEAM上仅有的第2款麻将游戏，无聊打发时间还是很不错的，但只想说制作公司非常没有诚意，怪不得新作发售就是60OFF。你能够想象220M的游戏能有多少亮点？
1）画面略显粗糙，妹子只有微笑和普通状态的插图。
2）语音非常稀少，而且大部分语音都是简单的吃碰语气词，略显呆板。
3）AI的设计让人玩不懂，虽然麻将这东西7分运气，3分技术，但是试玩20分钟要么连输，要么连胜。

どの役でも特にこれといった演出がなく単調そのもの。
セリフのバリエーションは少なく、特に初期は同じキャラクターと幾戦もするはめになるため、新しいキャラを一人出すにもルーチンワークになり苦痛でしかない。

仕方のない所なのだが、セクシーに描かれてはいても特にどうこうするわけでもないので少しプレイしただけで飽きてくる。

キャラはもっと少なくてもいいので、セリフにバリエーションを持たせるなり、もしくは演出カットを加えるなり、もう少しどうにかならなかったのか、とても残念な作品である。

I can read japanese, so I don't actually use the english interface, but people seems to complain about the poorly translated rule book or something... well, I can't denied that, but for player who isn't even interested in Riichi mahjong shouldn't even buy this game... Want to learn about the rule, watch youtube video will understand better than just reading off a few words. and yes, the game will be better if it's translate correctly, I can't deny that.

Compare to previous game, the art and AI is indeed improve a lots too. There are no more 4 wins in a row by same person (in my experience). It's good, It's fine.

Overall, if you interested in Riichi Mahjong, learn the rules by googling, watch Saki or Akagi, look for youtube tutorial, learn by yourself. Buy this game AFTER you familiar with the rulez. It's a fun game to pick up IF YOU INTERESTED IN RIICHI MAHJONG.

至于玩？前作没出前我就从社区知道这是个阳春日麻游戏，加了几张立绘就出来骗钱的东西，我十多年前用MAME玩的日麻比这有趣得多，至少人家的CG很有诚意。

-Darte cuenta de que es sobre un juego japones que no entiendes y perder 4 horas viendo un tutorial en youtube sobre como se juega mahjong ya que este juego te odia y no te explica nada.
-Aburrirte por tantas reglas, combinaciones, nombres y demas cosas y ni siquiera llegar a la mitad del video.
-Creer que ya puedes jugar con lo poco que aprendiste.
-Jugar y ganar la primera ronda, perder la segunda ronda, perder la tercera ronda, perder la cuarta ronda y aun asi ganar toda la partida.
-Creer que ya desbloqueaste algo con esa victoria y descubrir que necesitas como minimo 5 vistorias para empezar a desbloquear personajes.
-Darte cuenta que necesitas 100 victorias para desbloquear a todos los personajes.
-Mejor dejarlo corriendo para que te de los cromos, desinstalarlo y nunca pensar en el otra vez.

This is one of those games that unless you're pretty knowledgeable about it, it would be a living hell.

A game relying on RNG (random number generator) can be one of the most annoying games. I play a garbage tile out, and I would then draw the same tile. It happens quite often too. I swear, this game is rigged. The bot that wins the first round almost always wins the other rounds. Some rounds can literally end in 10 seconds too. Just how one of the bot somehow becomes the "master" or the most lucky b@stard out there is pretty much the only (major) drawback for me.

For the unlockables, which is the other characters, being based on wins isn't so bad at all. Though I've only managed to win 1 round at the moment, my win rate is rising along with the minutes I put in this game.

Not exactly the game that is worth one's full attention, but rather occasionally clicking a few times when there is a spare moment available in another game. This is, at least how I would play the game.

Not being beginner friendly would be an understatement, I mean, who would actually look at the rulebook at its entirety?
Other than that, I think this game could potentially grow on any potential players.

Pros:
- fully functional Riichi Mahjong on Steam
- "custom rules" like number of rounds, starting points, open tanyao, red fives, etc.

Cons:
- "pretty" and "cute" are subjective. Just a handful of the girls don't look like ♥♥♥♥
- no tutorial for beginners, not even basic stuff like a scoring table or yaku-list. If you can't play riichi you won't learn it with this game
- horrible gamespeed. You have the choice between painfully slow and way to fast. Choose slow and one game lasts several minutes. Choose fast and the AI discards 3 tiles in a split second. Best thing about that: If the AI calls on a discard for a win you don't know who it came from and what it was until a cut scene ends.
- talking about cutscenes: Every call on a tile causes an unskippable animation that can't be turned off and starts to get annoying after the fourth or fifth time, messing up the flow of the game even more
- UI is bad, you can't see the whole table
- game isn't completely translated

Голых бупсов нет, анимации у персонажей нет, а от местного саундтрека можно стать умалишенным! Даже если обнюхаться выхлопных газов прадедушкиного педального односкоростного мопеда, то данная композиция никак не вписывается в азартную игру. Символов на игральных костях больше чем ВЕЛИКАЯ китайская стена! За 139 рублей лучше выжрать бутылку самогонки на брудершафт с беззубым дедом.

It's pretty good Japanese mah jong, it shows you all possiblities to play so you don't need to keep track of what was discarded, so it's easy to play, if not exactly easy to learn. There's no real tutorial, or, I can't tell if there's a tutorial because the english translation is pretty janky. It is fun to play once you get it down, and there's lots of girls to unlock, there's no 'plot' to speak of but there are lots to unlock.

The translation is garbage, the UI is full of annoying redundancies, the art is mediocre and the voice acting is lacklustre at best.

Even accounting for the need to know how to play riichi mahjong before jumping into the game (which I have no problem with), the game isn't worth any amount of money, let alone the $15 US asking price.

Отличный японский (риичи) маджонг! Игра похожа на Nagomi Mahjong которая доступна на apple store и в google play, только здесь твои соперники кавайные няшки!!! Если вы не знакомы с правилами маджонга, тогда ищите их и пробуйте! Жаль конечно что не присутствует мультиплеер((( Хочется проверить свой скилл с реальными игроками...Всем советую брать по скидке!!! Игра стоит своих денег!!!

赞
1.日麻好玩
2.萌妹子好

贬
1.打牌时感觉没有天凤好，可能是动画比较生硬
2.AI智商很低，我第一把打了七连庄，直接把人婊飞了...总之用天凤的打法这里面的AI 实在不够看
3.大部分立绘质量一般

建议如果不同时是steam和日麻的脑残粉，就不要入手，不值这个价格（即使60%off）

If you're look for a good Riichi game, this is NOT the game. Actually I don't really care about the girls, but gameplays.

Pros:
1. Graphics are fine.
2. There're lot of detailed rules in options.
3. It made me write this review even though my English is very bad.

Cons:
1. Everytime you want to Riichi or Kan, you have to click Action then click the corresponding action. This is redundant.
2. You cannot see the whole table unless dragging around with the mouse.
3. The animation of calling is too slow, compared to the game speed.
4. Things take forever to unlock, especially for a single player game.
5. (This one is my personal problem) Too many over-sized that things...

The game pace gives me strange feelings. AIs play tiles very fast, but it takes so much time to Call. Though I knew that you can adjust the speed of playing tiles, but AIs just take 0.x second to think, so that's just a waste of time to set it slow. If you wanted to learn Riichi, there're many better ways than this.

...lots of complicated scoring, sudden wins, and characters I don't recognize.

The video is pretty honest. What you see is what you get: authentic reach mahjong, slightly translated, rulebook not included. The game does a good job of letting you know what your options are at any given time. Even if you're only acquainted with the rules, you can just click on tiles until one of the characters (hopefully yours) starts making happy noises. The process is cathartic in a solitaire type of way, but do this enough and maybe you'll even start to figure out what's going on. You do need to win a few times to unlock any new characters beyond the starting four, so it'll be a while before you meet everyone in the game.

The sound design is worth praising. The music is actually pretty good, the tiles make various satisfying clacks, and the voice acting isn't too annoyingly prominent.

There's no story whatsoever, so if you're looking for a visual novel, keep looking. The "translation" is an insult to the word, to be honest. The English that is there doesn't appear to have come from someone fluent, if it came from a person at all. None of the girls' quips are translated, but I can assure you that you aren't missing much.

The graphics are... well, redundant to comment on. The static nature of the game makes those screenshots above pretty representative of the actual game. It does have the option to run at 1080p, that's not always a given with these Japanese doujinsoft. The game is very responsive, there isn't any downtime while playing it on the default (quick) setting. There are a few spots where the game expects you to click and drag (to scroll or look around), which gives the impression it's friendly to touch screens.

So this game has a lot left to be desired, but it's worth your attention if you are interested in 2D girls, Japanese, and ([i]inclusive[/i] and) reach mahjong. I give it eight bucks out of fifteen.
