I was shocked by how charming and endearing this game was when first booting it up.

If you are a fan of D&D, Pathfinder, or any TTRPG/Digital RPG games, this game is a great way to enjoy them with all the humor you'd expect.

It was obviously made with care and passion as every quest, location, and NPC is a mix of fun nostalgia and self aware jokes regarding the genre.

The game systems are very tight and intuitive, as it prioritizes a good game experience most.

8.5/10 would roll initiative again.

8/10. Honestly a great game. Pain in the ass to 100% but worthy of the challenge. Wish you could accept multiple quests at once. The going back and fourth got old after a bit. Everything else about this game was great. Story was fun. Mobs were diverse and interesting. Lots of fun Easter Eggs. Highly recommend.

This is a fun, comedic, story-rich game with good mechanics and is distinct enough from the first game. The stories are very DnD-esque, table top banter included! Each class and character certainly feels unique. Furthermore, the DLC is worth the price. The story, amount of quests, new characters and class definitely provide enough "bang for your buck."
Unfortunately, the game is full of portions where grinding for experience, items or monsters is required. While battling is fun, it becomes tedious after the nth fight against thieves, kobolds or any other fiend. Because of the repetition, the story can become a slog.
In conclusion, if you want a quick, casual game with some wit and humor, this game is perfect. I would recommend.

a dnd inspired game i liked when my friend recomended it to me. Its still the same funny game with naoto oneshot madness ninja sudden-death build(boss included). The game is a mess in game balance in late game where everything is a damage sponge and casters are actually just mascots. Martials are still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ only when ironically they use their skills because their damage actually scales. Still fun to replay and ♥♥♥♥ around with different class combinations.

Here be dragons provides an excellent challenge if the endgame isnt enough brutal to you. And the final boss dragon is the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing in like ever not because of the stupid aoe but because of the 'environment mechanic' stun per turn which the devs didnt really think through because debuffs actually does something to your party and just game overs you instead of applying debuff to enemy and knowing they roll out of it 99%.

The sprites are ugly and clearly the work of an amateur.

The translation is horrible but not as bad as the UI on a Desktop.

The game is poorly balanced, being a port of a free mobile game, and the DLC is tied to the main game, giving that terrible feeling of an incomplete experience to force you to buy it.

Speaking of forcing, you need to log into a third-party service within the game to continue playing, again, in the middle of the game, which gives, once again, a terrible impression, not in the main menu, but in the middle of a mission.

All the "jokes" and references are weak attempts to engage, since the game is unnecessarily long, perhaps trying to imitate a D&D campaign, but without the fun, only the tedious part.

It's tedious, ugly, repetitive, unbalanced, and irritating, but, in the end, it's a decent game, not a total waste of money.

Хоть игра мне понравилась, но выбор между лайком и дизлайком был неоднозначен.

Да, в игре много приятного и веселого, но есть и просто выматывающие однообразные бои, и тупейший бэктрекинг через всю карту.

Возможно, так разработчики высмеивают другие игры, но все равно играть в игру в эндгейме напрягает.

Ещё бы хотелось отметить отсутствие возможности ускорить игру, и поэтому некоторые классы с долгими анимациями просто не используешь, чтобы ещё больше не затягивать «очеееееень веселый» очередной бой.

И это учитывая, что некоторые классы вот прям «ниочем».

Но все же игра стоит вниманияи проходится недолго.

Уникальное в своём роде, вместе с первой частью, приключение в стиле настольных ролевых игр, которые устраивают с кубиками, вымышленными мирами и рассказчиком.
И здесь рассказчик сидит с нами всю дорогу - от старта до финиша.
Играть так же интересно, как и в первую часть, здесь, наверное, даже интересней - меньше гринда, если выполнять все побочные задания, опыта хватает на всё, если не менять персонажей, не начинать с нуля.
Очень красочная графика, хорошая музыка, незатейливый вымышленный сюжет, очень живые и смешные диалоги с приколами и отсылками - разработчики и переводчики на русский постарались.
В отличие от первой части, самый сложный босс тут - белый дракон (второстепенный квест) но убивать его сложнее, чем самого сложного дракона первой части.

И вроде бы, эта игра по всем планам лучше первой, но и отметать первую совсем не могу, она тоже весьма хорошая получилась, может, немного более хардкорная разве что. На секретного босса там нужно гриндить. Тут раза с пятого белого дракона одолел.
Но если советовать этот опыт - то буду советовать вторую. Она более на широкого игрока, нежели первая.
Поэтому, кто любит подобные настолки в духе DND, вы по адресу.

P.S. Заметил, что эту серию также задело "проклятье третьих частей".
В Steam была третья часть, но не получилась, и разработчики просто удалили её. На мобилках теперь только можно попробовать. Но пишут, что и баланс хуже, и багов много, то есть, недоработанную выпустили.

Na minha opinião, não compensa taanto... não estou falando de valor, mas sim de tempo. Fiz tudo que dava para fazer, e acabou sendo somente por teimosia mesmo e não por prazer.
Inicio é bem parado e arrastado, o meio fica bem divertido, mas no final... meu Deus, muito arrastado.
Joguei especialmente pq curtia ele quando era mais novo e jogava no celular. Mas honestamente não recomendaria a um amigo. Mas se você sentir vontade de jogar, pega no promoção com a DLC e divirta-se, mas não leve tão a sério.

Découvert sur mobile il y a 4–5 ans, et pouvoir y rejouer sur PC a été très agréable. Au bout de 5 h, j’ai roulé sur les ennemis car je connaissais déjà les builds à créer et quelques petites astuces. À part ça, le jeu est sympa, avec un gameplay simple et efficace.

Terminado por completista. (En mi escala: 1/10)

Junto con el 1°, es la primera vez que me acerco a un juego de rol (realidad o videojuego), por lo que no sé si este videojuego es una buena representación.

Me salté toda la historia ya que la del 1° no me interesó.

Sinceramente no puedo pensar en nada positivo o por lo que podría recomendarlo.

Por otro lado (de nuevo, sin saber si así es como se debe jugar una partida de rol), partes negativas (una increíble perdida de tiempo):
- En las mazmorras, si te equivocas de ruta o querer derrotar a más enemigos, tienes que pasar por cada puñeter* habitación.
- El ataque del ladrón "Gancho de agarre" fallando el 80% de las veces (sin tener una estadística, al menos clara).
- Un ataque especial (y diversas cosas) da el perjurio de debilidad, aplicándose uno a uno (con una pequeña animación) a cada objetivo, casi todos debilitándose, pero a su vez casi todos lo neutralizan fácilmente uno por uno (con otra pequeña animación).
- Hay varios perjurios ambientales, en los que por ejemplo con +4 y superior se supone que se puede resistir, y aun teniendo +5, +8 o hasta +13 me afecta, ¿qué mierd*? ¿Soy imbéc*l o como va esto?
- Desde la mitad de la historia (o 1/3 si se quiere completar todo) en adelante la gran mayoría de las put*s misiones te hacen recorrer medio mapa, siendo la gran mayoría todo el pinch* mapa. Además de que no puedo abrir otra aplicación por que se pausa el puñeter* videojuego. (Al saltar la historia no sé si es realmente necesario, pero no creo que lo sea cada put* vez)
- Tener que comprar objetos 1 por 1.
- Algunas más que se me habrán olvidado.
-- ¿No poder acelerarlo?
- Y por sobre todo, dios santo bendito (como expresión), es cuando se tiran los (5) dados; esperar a que cada dado se juegue antes de pasar al siguiente.
-- Peor aun cuando quieres salir de una batalla; además de fallar (que serán como mínimo 3 veces) se agrega que te golpean, perdiendo aun más tiempo.

Sin exagerar, 1/4 o hasta 1/3 de las horas son putisim*s animaciones (innecesarias).

Si así son los juegos de rol, que no creo o al ser con personas es infinitamente más divertido (quiero creer), no son para mí. (De nuevo, no sé si el videojuego es una mierda o simplemente no es para mi)

Every time I beat another big quest I think the game is complete, and surprise, there's more! I haven't even bought the DLC (yet) and there's tonnes to do and challenges to meet. Hours of entertainment, good game!

EDIT: HEADS UP for completionists! You CANNOT get the final achievement without purchasing the DLC. It's a great game and totally worth it, but if you're aiming to 100% the achievements, you should know to go ahead and make both purchases from the start.

● Приятная музыка
● Простая прокачка снаряжения и левел ап персонажей (Не нагромождённая система)
● Прохождение игры ~ 8-10 часов, полное 20.
Рекомендую для тех, кто хочет почилить под казуальную игру и мб что-то посмотреть на фоне

Eu desde pequeno gostei de RPG's. Acho que Knights of Pen and Paper 2 foi uma das minhas primeiras referências a esse mundo. Adoro as referências espalhadas pelo reino de Paperos. A pixel art do jogo é linda e a trilha sonora é bem simples, mas gosto dela.
Se você quer um RPG tranquilo e que tenha um pouco da essência de um D&D da vida, eu recomendo. Ele é rápido e não é complicado.

Ah yes the nerd-simulator, to fully appreciate the game one should have quite the "Nerd knowledge". There are so many easter eggs in this game it is really scary how big the "Nerd" culture really is.

Apart from the "Nerd fan service" the game itself is rather easy and simple a nice little game to kill some time.
The 100% takes a little longer though.

All in all I felt right at home with the humor.

Before you buy, consider that this variant doesnt have 'New Game+' which means that when you finish all content, you are left with nothing to do and the game is considered over. your options would be to start a new game or just goof around and kill random stuff for no reason.

I personally was disappointed as i have played the game before on mobile and did not care too much about the first playthrough and was looking forward to the new game+ bit.

Overall the game is fun, awesome concept and gameplay apart from the point mentioned above.

This game is unplayable on steam deck. If you came in the point that You have quest with dragons the game freezes. This is known bug with controler since 2015. When emulate keyboard (steam +x) it help but only for two quests. The quest that You will get a claw from the dragon freezes the game. Solution with keyboard don't solve this. Only solution is to sent Your save data to pc, do this quests on Mouse and keyboard the sent to steam deck back. Why sent becouse even cloud saving dont work. So is pointless to buy this game on deck becouse You musi play this from start to finisz on two platforms. And I only wanted to play on the go during travel to work

Pros:
- Not a hard game at all, the main route is very easy and you can build the team the way you want without worrying about the perfect build
- The music and graphics are nice
- The universe of the game is well built

Mid:
- Going place to place, specially if they are far apart, is just boring

Cons:
- Dungeons are BS, they are randomized and sometimes you enter a room and get hit by like 2-3 things that do a lot, a LOT, of damage and after that you have to face a full set of enemies, f-cking you up until the rest of the dungeon

A fun little romp! Highly recommend giving it a go if you're thinking of pulling the trigger.

When I was in high school there was a friend-of-a-friend group that I played a few battles with in their campaign. I always wanted to get more involved and play more campaigns with them, but I wasn't really a part of the group. This makes me nostalgic for that time and lets me finally play a campaign of my own, in a way. It gives me the warm and cozy feelings of adventuring with friends. :)

It's not that I disliked the game, but that I just don't recommend it to others really. It's pretty grindy and repetitive for the entire game and losing is punishing with snowball-esque effects.
I love the refereces and comedy of the game as well as artstyle. The quests and enemy ideas are very unique. It is unfortunate that the gameplay doesn't back it up though...

Had multiple play throughs but this is my first time completing every quest and almost all achievements (didnt complete the bestiary)

Took me about 16 hours of play time on this playthrough with 1000+ in game days and my characters are level 42.

If you are looking for a extremely low stakes game to turn your brain off to, and dont mind 2010s reference humor and marvel-esque "tongue-in-cheek" writing then you will probably enjoy this game. If not, you could be doing a lot better in terms of RPGs and turn based games

-Cool concept which is combine traditions of fantasy video games and nerd culture than through a game where you role-play as a role-player
-Good sense of humour
-It’s really fun discovering how the various combinations play out as you level up and put stats into different abilities, and you can swap players in and out of your party at the tavern.
-The cons of this game maybe just had a bad data saver
-One of my fav 2D RPG of all time, love this game ever since I was a kiddo (2016)

Com exceção de uma raiva tremenda que estou passando (novamente) com a Paradox, que ao não colocar save na nuvem me fez perder todo meu save antigo ao formatar o PC, não consigo enxergar pontos negativos que me façam NÃO recomendar esse excelente game!!! <3

Pen and Paper 2 é um game que simula uma partida de RPG de tabuleiro (quem aqui joga?), feito por nerds para nerds, e isto é provado pelo amor aos trocadilhos e as referências que você encontrará no jogo, algo que dá um charme muito especial a KOPP 2... O jogo é um show em referências e o poder delas chegam a mais de 8000. =P

É O TIPICO MAIS, MAIOR E MELHOR! \o/

I ummed and ahhed about whether I wanted to give this a positive review or not, same as the other game in the series. Knights of Pen and Paper are fun games but after a while they begin to feel too much like a grind. So great to start meh to finish. Suppose its on me for playing both of them.
