"Chicken Invaders 3" é aquele tipo de jogo que prova que uma premissa absurda, quando executada com capricho e bom humor, pode se tornar um clássico absoluto do gênero shoot 'em up. O foco aqui é muito mais no gerenciamento de tela e reflexos rápidos do que na complexidade narrativa, ao contrário de shooters espaciais mais densos e sombrios. Apesar da proposta galhofa de enfrentar galinhas intergalácticas, creio que os apreciadores de jogos de arcade tradicionais (como Space Invaders e Galaga) vão se sentir em casa, mas com uma dinâmica muito mais moderna e fluida.

Eu disse que este jogo é focado em reflexos, mas é claro que há uma estratégia envolvida na escolha e evolução das armas. No Chicken Invaders 3, você não está apenas atirando para frente; você precisa decidir qual tipo de projétil se adapta melhor à formação inimiga da vez — seja o laser focado para chefes ou os raios espalhados para limpar as hordas de frangos. O jogador pode optar por coletar todos os itens de comida para ganhar bônus ou focar puramente em desviar dos ovos e meteoros. Chicken Invaders 3 es un clásico que me acompañó desde niño y que sigue siendo tan divertido como siempre. Pasé horas jugando en cooperativo con un amigo en la misma computadora, esquivando huevos y disparando a gallinas espaciales sin preocuparnos demasiado por la dificultad.

Los niveles son relativamente sencillos, pero eso no quita la diversión ni lo gracioso del juego: las animaciones, los sonidos y la locura de la acción lo hacen imposible de dejar. Es un juego que no se toma demasiado en serio y eso es parte de su encanto.

Amazing game from amazing series. And trust me when I say, this is not just nostalgia talking: Chicken Invaders is really one of the best Shoot 'Em Up games, even today in (almost) 2026. You'll have lots of fun playing this with family member or with close friend. Best part? You don't need controller to play co-op, just Mouse & Keyboard is enough.
P.S. Don't forget about Christmas Edition DLC, it brings more fun to the table.

A really satisfying experience that builds on what its predecessors did! It was a lot of fun and even though it's a bit more difficult but it was still really amazing.

The soundtrack is much better, gameplay is about the same as the second game but what's added here is more creativity and diversity in each wave, which helped make it fun from start to finish!

I highly recommend playing this one! Personally, I think it's the second best game in the series.

Great game (I prefer 4 but 3 is really good and I'd recommend it too), it has good gameplay and good jokes/humour
I haven't played the updated (episode) version currently, just the original and I got all of the achievements on it
Each run of the game is quite short (especially if you skip the cutscenes, but you should watch them at least the first time, they're funny)
For the missiles I'd recommend binding them to middle click via the options if you have a mouse with that, because it makes it less likely you'll accidentally use them

Мне хочется начать отзыв с небольшого обращения к тем игрокам, которые нашли третью часть Chicken Invaders слишком сложной: не спешите ставить отрицательную оценку (этой части). Я тоже уже думал поставить конкретно этой части отрицательную оценку, когда вспомнил, что к каждой части была добавлена обновлённая версия, которая всегда легче оригинальной. Другими словами, если игрок не может пройти оригинальную версию, если он не хардкорщик, то ему стоит попробовать новую версию, которую можно выбрать в Стиме при запуске игры и которая обозначается так: NEW! Episode 3. Пройти обновлённую версию, хотя бы на лёгком уровне, сможет любой игрок. К примеру, проходя игру на этом уровне сложности у меня, под финальную битву с боссом, собралось около 20-30 жизней, а вот проходя ту же самую обновлённую версию, но уже на уровне сложности veteran, я пришёл к финальной битве с 3 жизнями. Чувствуете разницу?

Chicken Invaders 3 является четвёртой игрой серии, которую я прошёл. Я начал с конца, т.е. с 5 и 4 части, а потом перепрыгнул третью и прошёл вторую часть. Поэтому сейчас я оцениваю Chicken Invaders 3, имея некое представление о серии. Начнём с того, что 3 часть является переходной, в том смысле, что именно тут мы впервые встречаем сегодняшний стиль игры. Проходя вторую часть Chicken Invaders, я увидел как игра выглядела изначально, т.е. до того как она превратилась в нынешнюю яркую и цветастую, да ещё и с привлекательной графикой, игру. Вторая часть напоминала игру из далёкого прошлого, в которую сегодня будут играть только фанаты и энтузиасты этого жанра (или серии). Но третья часть, она как раз показывает, с какого момента произошла эта трансформация. Но не этим одним примечательна третья часть. Она примечательна ещё тем, что именно тут произошёл уход от хардкорности. Я не смог пройти оригинальную третью, ибо да, она сложная. Для хардкорщиков она может быть и не сложна вовсе, но для обычного игрока, это просто жесть. Я не зря привёл пример моего опыта прохождения даже обновлённой третьей части на уровне "Ветеран", ибо разница между получением дополнительных жизней, если сравнивать с простым уровнем сложности, очень велик. С другой стороны, третья часть даёт возможность попробовать как хардкорную версию, так и дать возможность простым игрокам пройти игру.

В чём главная проблема? Можно все уровни пройти более-менее нормально, т.е. особо не слившись, но финальный босс изрядно потреплет нервы. Пять или шесть одновременно перемещающихся лазеров, которые атакуют вертикальной атакой и где нужно выживать, маневрируя между этими очень быстро срабатывающими лазерами, т.е. выживать приходится методом точного размещения корабля между этими лазерами. Но это ещё не всё ведь после того как мы снесём боссу четверть урона появляются куры. В итоге мы не только имеем узкую вертикальную линию для маневрирования и/или нам не только нужно маневрировать среди этих постоянно двигающихся лазеров, но ещё и следить за тем, что бы к нам не подлетели куры. В общем, как по мне, финальный босс оказался дико душным, ну вот просто невозможно душным. Даже проходя оригинал можно дойти до финала более-менее без проблем, но вот пройти финального босса, для этого точно нужно иметь хорошие навыки (коими я не обладаю, а задрачиваться как-то желания нет).

Каков тогда итог, т.е. стоит ли эта игра внимания сегодня? Трудно сказать. Наверно поклонникам серии пройти игру стоит, ведь тут мы встречаем не только привычную графику, но и юмор, с уже знакомой закусочной с которой и начинается история. Так же в третьей части мы встречаем отсылку к культовому фильму "Звёздные войны". Да и если говорить о разнообразии, третья часть получилась довольно вариативной, хотя и не дошла до уровня самой лучшей и удачной части всей серии - пятой. Тем не менее, игра более вариативна, чем вторая и более продолжительная, чем вторая, но имеет примерно такое же разнообразие, как четвёртая часть. Ну и как я отметил выше, скиловые игроки, вероятно, смогут положительно оценить тот вызов, которая бросает третья часть серии Chicken Invaders.

Story Wise Probably my favorite from the series. Even better to play with the Episode Update and not having to spam with your mouse... Also the weapon balance changes make it more fun to use other weapons that are not neutron nor forks.
Nontheless i enjoy both the original and the episode.
As for Multiplayer i do think that using CIU for it is the way to go since it seems to work way better than the one from the original versions.
Another big thing is the Language selection that got bigger with the update since its all translated by the fans of the game (also smaller thing that probably most wont care about but some language's got the proper font that was used in the english version. Polish for example).
What i hate thou is the heatsink that is used in the episode... it overheats so quickly... [spoiler] Atleast there's "no overheat" unlockable :') [/spoiler]

If Chicken Invaders at all looks even slightly appealing for you to play, then play this one. This is by far, the definitive peak of the entire Chicken Invaders series and while 4/5 are incremental improvements, they don't capture the raw spirit of the Chicken Invaders experience quite like Revenge of the Yolk does.

The boss design captures the essence of the game experience. You need to fly right under enemies to shoot them, but doing so puts you in a vulnerable position for attack. This fundamental loop is worked around in all of the U.C.O. encounters as well as the Yolk Star, which I believe to be the best boss battle in the entire franchise.

I have mixed feelings about the remaster. My recommendation is to play the original, or configure the remaster in such a way that you can get it as close as possible to the original experience.

My favourite Chicken Invaders game. It introduced the modern graphics that all of the games after it used, its gameplay loop is a lot of fun, it has the most memorable soundtrack in the series, I like how it's harder than the other games (not counting those Comet and Asteroid chapters though) and I think The Yolk-Star is the best final boss in the series.

Honestly, the episode remastering has made this, and the other 5 chicken invaders games WAY better and less repettitive with the addition of CIU enviroments, endless mode and 1 life mode (+ i am in love with the no heat mode, makes me feel like i'm playing cuphead). I still don't get boored of screwing up my no death runs to the final boss, but i still enjoy the first chicken invaders game i have ever played. My biggest complain is that the update has removed online and has rendered the seasonal DLC edittions useless since you can now adjust them in the settings free of charge. it kinda makes me feel bad for the people that have spent their well earned money on something as petty as a xmas themed chicken invaders game.

**To anyone new to the series reading this review;**

"i highly reccomend you DON'T pick this game as your first chicken invaders game. It's difficulty alone makes me fear the shoot 'em up genre as a whole. Chicken Invaders 4 is the best option for new people looking to beggin immersing themselves in this chicken shooting classic that brought unforgetable memories to all balkan players out there. Get this game if you're looking for something challenging and nostalgic (and if you're a complete masochist)"

Bu oyundan nefret ediyorum. Çocukken de asla oynayamazdım şimdi de asla oynayamıyorum. Roketlerinizi biriktirip, firepowerınızı maxlayıp sonra da biraz can biriktirdikten sonra adam oldum sanıyorsunuz ama tek bölümde elinizden alıyor. Güzel oyun. Zor oyun arayanlar Souls-like bakmasın imparator burada.

No matter the difficulty, no matter what...
The game is so unfair.
If you die, you lose 5 upgrades.... not 1, not 2... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5.
It may be one of the childhood games but it's logic is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Weapons mostly are either too weak or rarely drop.
And chickens...
Did they just spammed a random number during some of the parts of the game!?

Да, я очень много задротствовал в эту часть в детстве. Сложно сказать, какая из частей самая простая, но пройти эту часть на третьей сложности не составляет никакого труда, музыка великолепна и финальный босс шикарен (я даже рисовал по нему фанарты, так как даже десятилетний пацан не умеющий рисовать, сможет нарисовать яйцо с окошком). Возможно, это просто слепая ностальгия, мешающая объективно взглянуть на игру, но финальник тут лучший в серии. Однако по разнообразию игра точно не может похвастаться, одни и те же волны в трёх вариациях, может некоторые повторялись и больше. Но это всё ещё хороший представитель космических стрелялок!
