Моя вторая игра из серии 18 колёс, в которую я поиграл в детстве. Сначала она меня отпугнула наличием лимита по времени, но спустя столько лет игры, я могу наконец написать свой отзыв на неё.

По факту, мы получаем более переосмысленную версию Across America, с ретекстуром и ремоделингом грузовиков, перестройкой уже знакомых городов и пристройкой ещё порции, и не только Американских селений. А теперь серьёзно:

Карта действительно стала больше, и в нашем распоряжении не только крупные города Америки, но и юг Канады с севером Мексики. Грузовики стали детализированее, и управление ими изменилось кардинально. Магазины грузовиков теперь не специализируются на конкретном ассортименте грузовиков, они теперь продают разные марки. И теперь нет такого, что проезжая третий за игру магазин, ты натыкаешься на, по сути, тот же ассортимент.

Главным же нововведением стало три разных режима игры, в отличие от сценариев в предыдущей части (хотелось бы, чтобы фанаты подвезли свежий патч, который бы обновил классическую линейку Колёс, как это сделали с Flatout. Может быть, с мастерской, добавились бы и новые сценарии). По сути, здорово - начинаем не просто как чёрт с горы с одним Pacific, а как наёмный водитель. Возим грузы, которые скажут, а мы за это деньжата получаем, ну, а хозяин компании нам грузовичок подгоняет, да пару апгрейдов к нему. Потом, когда появляется какая-никакая деньга, становимся сильным и независимым, и тогда начинается первая половина Across America - возим грузы, зарабатываем деньги и престиж, грузовик уже покупаем и доводим до ума сами. Набрали деньжат и престижу - добро пожаловать в свою собственную компанию, и здесь уже начинается Across America чистой воды - возим грузы, зарабатываем деньги и престиж, собираем свою команду и делаем с ними то, что делали с нами всю первую треть игры. Ну, или просто играем в ремейк Across America, но там ещё Across Canada и Mexico (малая часть).

Саундтрек поскуднел и теперь здесь только одна мелодия не только на радио. В предыдущей части, в меню и в блокноте, мы слышали две разные композиции, но по факту имели полноценный плейлист с собственным саундом. А здесь музыка только в меню, и в радио нет ничего, кроме заглавной темы. Однако, можно загрузить свою музыку, что поднимает игру выше своего предшественника... но не намного.

Давайте уже глянем на другие минусы:

- У б л ю д с к и й траффик - горе-водители опять вас ни во что не ставят, и у них в порядке вещей заехать на автостраду прямо у вас перед лицом, или перестроиться прямо в вас.
- Где полиция? - возможно это я впервые включил наёмного водителя с включенной полицией, но как-то не ощущается её присутствие в игре. В прошлой игре, ты мог за поездку наткнуться на двух ментов на правах радара, и лишняя миля в час для них была как красная тряпка, даже если ты просто с горки катишься. А здесь они словно пончиков накушались и упали в обморок где-то далеко. "Полиция не дремлет", как же - она дрыхнет.
- Графика - проблема известная ещё с прошлых Колёс - на широкоформатных разрешениях теряется верхний и нижний кусок карты, а приборка безнадёжно исчезает за экраном. Да, временно помогает манипуляция с консолью, но до момента сворачивания игры, а дальше снова. С картой такой трюк не канает (поэтому игре нужен свежий патч).
- Лаги - в какой-то определённый момент игра начинает дико лагать, и молитесь, чтобы вам удалось выйти в паузу, сохраниться, выйти в меню и загрузить сохранение, потому что один раз у меня игра даже вылетела, когда я нажал ESC (свежий патч, я призываю тебя)

Но всё равно, игра хорошая и если вы любите ATS и ETS2 - не постесняйтесь глянуть, с чего начинали наши любимые симуляторы дальнобойщика.

Considering its predecessors, this sequel is refreshing and a pleasant surprise. You can see that someone made an effort. Traffic in this sequel is not ideal, but it has been significantly improved compared to its predecessors. If you plan to play the 18 WoS series, I recommend that you start with this sequel and avoid frustration with the first two.

- при долгой игре трафик пропадает с дорог(свыше 4-5 часов без выхода из игры)
- в режиме босс когда купил транспорт для наемных рабочих и выбрал цвет ТС то следующий раз при изменение цвета иконка остаётся прежний
- наемные рабочие не прокачиваются
- карта кажется пустынной
- можно ездить под водой

Que buen juego la ptm, la saga 18 Wheels of Steel fue mi infancia, Me encanta la parte en que el camión hace BRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM PSHIUUUUUUF *sonido de cambio* BRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. en resumen esta viejito pero bueno, recomendado para computadoras que solo corren el Microsoft Exel y tildado (como la mía).
Igualmente lo que no me gusto que es como un capricho pete mio, es que el camion sale con todo al arrancar y parece que es un Formula 1. igualemente no quiero exigirle tanto a un juego del año culo pero bueno ya estoy escribiendo cualquiera.

If you like a game where you can play it just past the allotted time for a refund and then have corrupt installation files on your computer that never let you play again and then get absolutely no help from support because "you already downloaded and played the game" then this game and steam is just for you! However if youre like me and just want to enjoy a game from your childhood you should probably just go to the valusoft website like i did. I was able to play it perfectly fine from another source. Steam is awful.

Alapvetően pozitívan értékelném a játékot, mert gyermekkorom kaminonos gammája, ennek tiszteletére vettem meg, ma már sajnos nem igazán rúg labdába, de nosztalgiázni még mindig lehet vele. Új PC-n nem érdemes játszani, a felbondtása nem állítható be. Kár hogy így eljárt felette az idő. Fenntartásokkal játszható, sokszor még így is érdekesebb mint az újatk... :/

Sehr cooles Game. Hatte 2004 die Deutsche Version (Voll Aufs Gas). Habe Mir damals mit dem Spiel die Nächte um die Ohren Geschlagen.

This game is not perfect. It's not even close to be perfect. But it's good. Good enough to be one of my favourite games of my childhood. Biggest problem for me is control - crude and awkward. After all these years it's not the same as the first time, but nostalgia compensates for everything.

The game is well worth it full and on discount both, its the favorite from the series, for multiple reasons, though I only had full version of this when I was a child beside the Hard Truck 18 Wheels of Steel

I recommend it to anyone who is into the genre or wants to try the genre out, gives a different experience than ATS and other newer SCS titles, 10/10 for me, fully and wholeheartedly recommanded

This one is my favorite of the 18 wheels of steel series. You start out taking already planned jobs and work your way up to starting your own trucking company, scheduling your own jobs and having your own fleet of trucks. I enjoyed playing this game back in the day and i'm glad to have it again.

Старая Добрая игруля с исправленными багами и совместимостью с новыми ОС и разрешениями экрана. По вспоминать былые времена, что тут можно сказать ? игра крута, всё еще ощущается тяжесть грузовика с прицепом который долго тормозит. Вообщем советую и старым и новым игрокам. Игра куда сложнее в развитии чем теже АТС и ЕТС2

纯情怀，当年是无意中玩到的，打开游戏就被百听不厌的金属音乐吸引了，还是能连续听好久的那种。。还能运载酷酷的东西，比如电影效果材料、巨大的陈列馆摆件啥的在地图上穿梭，想想开长途还能赏景开夜车，虽然景色单调不多，但也足够满足填充想象力。

I had enjoyed this game back in the day when I was a kid. The controls are kind of much meh as played via keyboard so it isn't like American Truck Simulator. Yet, this game is developed by the same company who made all the truck sims. I don't want to compare to that. There is a performance problem with the Steam port that after doing multiple jobs, the game will crash and I had this confirmed by one of my friends. I still have my CD copy so it would be something in Windows 10 or the port itself.

This isn't worth the full $10 so I recommend getting it under $5 or less.

Let me just start that this is a huge disappointment, The controls are incredibly ♥♥♥♥♥♥, And the performance is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, Once you complete multiple jobs, It'll crash your game. Don't get me wrong, This was a nice game back when I was a kid, But if you are getting this, I recommend waiting for it to go on sale for around $5 or less.

This is my favorite 18 WOS installment. This game hooked me from day one when I purchased in 2005. This game instilled a love of trucking in my little grade-school self that built me into the real life truck driver that i am today.
Lets go over the good and bad of 18 WOS PTTM.
Pros:
- The gameplay is fantastic. Picking up loads and delivering them to the correct locations is easy and straight forward. No tutorial required, just go from point A to point B.
- The progression system in this game is my favorite of all the 18 WOS games. It features income based progression in the beginning, building to a prestige system later on allowing you to unlock more cargo and more highly valued routes.
- The map is reasonably sized. It's not enormous, but it's not tiny either. I am more recently closer to a casual player, and I like being able to make one or more deliveries in the short amount of time I have to play.
- The controls are good. Not fantastic, but definitely in the better end of the spectrum. It's an older game, so it doesn't have full suspension physics simulation or anything crazy, but it's a good, solid driving model that's fun to play.

Cons:
- The graphics are VERY dated. I remember back in 2005, the graphics were good, but still not great. In 2020, the graphics look extremely basic. You can tell what everything is, and all the landmarks and vehicles are clear, but you're going to see alot of the same cars on the road, and alot of the same buildings in the cities.
- The map is not huge. Ok, I know I said this in the pros, but from the perspective of someone who used to play this game all day in my grade school summers, this map will get repetitive and will feel very small if played for long periods.
- No good controller support. This game is good on keyboard, good with a wheel and pedals, but not so great with a gamepad. There are workarounds such as using gamepad keybinding software and such, but as far as native support goes, it's lacking.

Thats it! That's all you should need to know to make a decision on whether or not this game is for you. Enjoy!

В свое время (2007) впервые с этой серий игр столкнулся, вначале игрушка не цепляла, однако аппетит как оказалось пришел во время игры... Долгое время ночи напролет катал в Хаолин, а после началось модостроительство (точнее в моем случае картостроение) И вплоть до 2017 игрушка цепляла. Это классика - а классика заслуживает самого глуюокого уважения, это не просто игра. Для меня эта игрушка всем играм игра! PTTM - навсегда!!!!
